He's Like Hitler Times A Thousand!

Friends, you're probably sick of hearing it, but lefties are convinced -- you're a bunch of Nazis, and Trump is the new Hitler!  It's just so obvious...Well, it is to Hillary Clinton, anyway.

Some of you may appreciate the boldness of this contrarian view of the progress of the Russia-Ukraine war.  According to this analyst, the Ukrainians are fighting their way to abject defeat.  We shall see.

Many mainstream media polls have the Democrats ahead in the midterm elections.  McLaughlin sees it differently.  Personally, I believe there's still a good possibility of a sizable Red Wave.  It may interest you to know, however, that, given the vagaries of redistricting and the extreme concentration of Democrats in urban areas, the GOP could fall short in the national popular vote and still win control of the House, and possibly the Senate as well.  Generic ballot polls that have the two parties tied, in other words, are effectively conceding that the GOP is plausibly on course to victory.

Finally, gird your loins, fellow fascists, because our favorite pin-up girl, Giorgia Meloni of the "Brothers of Italy", is set to become Italy's next Prime Minister after tomorrow's general election.  Could the polls be wrong?  Might the Italian establishment find a way to block her path to the premiership?  Stay tuned, because history is about to be made!

How about Biden as the new Stalin? Naw! He's not smart enough.

  2. Dr. Waddyfrom Jack: Man, that article on Ukraine was a real eye opener. It was the first time I've seen many of those views expressed. It suggests truly onerous possibilities. I agree with the author in that Russia's object in Ukraine has always been to prevent an unendurable Nato threat to Russia from Ukraine. That Russia may consider that object satisfied by permanent possession of parts of eastern Ukraine is plausible, I think.

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Hillary lost the Presidency because she is personally unlikeable. Her monumental "deplorables" remark in 2016 clinched that for many people and her latest manifestation of haughty hate filled vindictive hyperbole and characteristically disingenuous Clintonian hooey( "I won't be running)" but confirms it - she just cannot help herself. Imagine such a person in power!

Don't forget that Hillary was in power, with her husband in The White House, as a Member of Congress, and part of Obama's cabinet. The Clintons are the ones that set this country on a path of ruin back in the 1990's, and aided and abetted the Obamas who finished (at least partially) what they started.
The Clintons will fade away, but watch out for those power-brokers the Obamas in the future.

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: But at least Biden is human. Hitler and Stalin were THINGS crept out of hell's deepest reaches to teach us how unimaginable evil can be.

  5. Ray, Biden is a lot of things, but he ain't no Stalin. For one thing, he doesn't have Stalin's good looks and charm...

Jack, I agree -- that article on Ukraine was a revelation. It may have breezed over a lot of challenges that the Russians face, but we need to guard against self-delusion, and in particular we need to be clear-eyed about the weaknesses of the Ukrainians.

Jack, the 2016 election was so close that almost any factor could be described as "decisive", but among them would certainly be Hillary's, uhh, personal qualities, or the lack thereof. I tend to agree with Ray that the Clintons are a spent force on the Left, but Michelle could indeed be a contender. The media would positively drool over her, but I suspect her heart just isn't in the hurly-burly of politics. Who, the, will be the Left's standard-bearer in 2024? I wish I knew.

Okay, so Biden is no Stalin. How about Enver Hoxha?

  7. Dr. Waddy and Ray from Jack: Ray: You are right; we have seen Hillary in power. When my NY public employee's union went bananas over her in 2000 I remarked: "Instead of celebrating what she could do for civil service workers, lets consider what she has DONE TO civil service workers, namely the White House Travel Office Workers, one of whom she had indicted at tax payer expense., for getting in her way. He was acquitted in very short order

  8. Dr .Waddy and Ray from Jack: Ah dunno. Can't see Hoxha at the campfire belting out Kumbayaa as per idealistic young Joe's wont.

  9. Hmm. Thanks for the opporunity to look up ole Enver Hoxha and learn of his unparalleled brilliance. There's something to be said for closing off a Stalinist society from the rest of the world -- ignorance is bliss? Maybe we'll try it here in NY someday...
