The Trump Road Show is Back!

Friends, as you know, for the past month our beloved President has been licking his wounds in D.C., but as of yesterday he's back on the campaign trail, stumping for Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in Georgia, and making the case that the Dems' electoral thievery in 2020 can't be allowed to stand.  "We will never surrender", he says.  Sounds ironclad to me!  The important thing is that Trump is reconnecting with his loyal followers, who are, and always have been, the best card he has to play in attempting to extract a minimal level of respect (or fear, which amounts to the same thing) from the establishment, a.k.a. "The Swamp".  If Trump keeps at it, he will remind Republican officeholders, in particular, that any of them who directly or indirectly recognizes Biden as the "President-Elect", or helps Biden ascend the presidency, will face the wrath of the GOP base.  My view?  Trump should go back to holding rallies all over this great country, and he should make it clear that he'll accept nothing less than this: every LEGAL vote should be counted, and every ILLEGAL vote should be cast aside.  And, as we all know, when that happens, FOUR MORE YEARS won't be just a slogan -- it will be a reality that even ornery Democrats will be forced to accept.  Listen in to the President's remarks and ask yourself: does this guy sound like he "lost" the 2020 election?  I don't think so!

And here's a compelling argument that the 2020 election was "rigged" in another way: via disinformation, particularly the suppression of news stories critical of Joe Biden.

And are state legislatures getting closer to nullifying the bogus "certifications" of Biden wins in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Arizona?  Could be.

  1. Dr. Waddy, the rally Trump had on Saturday was cringeworthy. Rather than supporting Perdue and Loeffler (who both need help to win in GA), he spent most of the time spewing baseless conspiracy theories and whining about himself. His performance was the best evidence that he should NOT be given four more years.

What Trump doesn't realize is that on January 20, he becomes a private citizen and far less relevant to the country's politics. He's clearly going to be around and continuing to whine, but he is no longer going to scare GOPers in Congress. Every week he is out of office, his followers will also start to peel off.

He will also not have the same communication apparatus behind him. Fox has soured on him. Twitter will close his account on January 20 for violating TOS. Newsmax and OAN and Parler and Rumblevideo will be available, but their communication footprint is far smaller.

Trump will also have to fend off a number of state and civil litigation actions against him and his family.

So, Trump and his legal minions (including COVID Rudy) will threaten state governors and legislatures to overturn the results of a legitimate election. He will fail because he lacks a solid legal theory and valid evidence, and will be diminished in the process.

So, he can hold his rallies, but Trump is starting his long, slow trip into political irrelevancy.

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: You are a veritable information broker in this historic process.

  3. Federal judge for the Northern District of GA just dismissed Sidney Powell's suit.

    Trump 1-47 in court cases.

  4. Dr.Waddy from Jack: You have kept my morale up by citing credible empirical evidence and informed commentary, in including your own.

  5. Funny how 47 out of 48 times, the various courts have not seen the evidence as credible.

  6. Just to remind everyone that tomorrow is the Sage Harbor date. Under federal law, any state's selection of its presidential electors that has been finalized six days before the formal Electoral College voting date (December 14) is FINAL and presumptively can't be challenged in the courts or in Congress.

A state doesn't have to finalize their votes by tomorrow, but, if they do, the states can no longer change them as federal law becomes controlling.

So, if Biden gets more than 270 EC votes submitted by tomorrow, it is really over.

  7. Rod, when have you NOT found a Trump rally to be "cringeworthy"? Methinks you might be...biased? I would ask you this question: assume, just for a second, that there were shenanigans in this election... How would you expect Trump to behave? How would you advise him to behave? How would you advise BIDEN to behave, for that matter? You've never told us whether you would countenance the overturning of Biden's "win", if it could be proven to be tainted.

Jack, I'm glad I'm giving you hope! The evidence is piled to the ceiling by now, although we could use more of it, especially of the confessional variety. One wonders if ANY form of evidence would impress the media and the Left, however. The "news" is now entirely discretionary. I guess the question is what will move judges and legislators... They, in some cases, are still persuadable.

Rod, as Democrats have proven on countless occasions, laws are made to be broken, so I wouldn't get too excited about the safe harbor date. Who will become President on January 20th is more of a question of will than it is of math or law anyway. Look at the Left's continued insistence that there's "no evidence" to support fraud. Sheer will sustains that delusion. You can minimize the evidence, sure, but denying that it's there? That takes faith, moxie, and more than a little obstinacy.

  8. Dr. Waddy, the point is, there were no "shenanigans" in the election. Biden won by over 7 million votes.

I suspect that as a child that Trump learned that if he stomped his feet and held his breath that he would get his way. That's why he believes people who "strongly" argue their positions -- not whether those positions have merit. So, he believes that if he continues to shout that he lost because he was "cheated," then he will win -- no matter how baseless his position.

Evidence? At these COVID Rudy super spreader events, one side has been presented. In court, where both sides make a case, Trump is 1-47.

Dr. Waddy, I am very surprised that you believe that who becomes president on January 20 is more a matter of "will" than "law." That's truly frightening, and the most undemocratic thing I have seen you post on here.

Finally, a lesson about journalism. If someone charges election fraud, and you go out to do the story but find that there is nothing there, you report the charge, and the lack of evidence -- and then you go on to other stories. You don't keep repeating baseless charges. Thus, journalists are not "suppressing" the "evidence." They are just not wasting their time on bullshit when there are many other important stories to cover.

    Finally, charges are not evidence.

  9. I think we're going over the same ground over and over, but it's one thing to say that the evidence that the GOP has assembled is insufficient. It's another thing to say that it doesn't exist. Again, you're not confronting the evidence -- any of it -- you're merely dismissing it. That's easily done, but tells us nothing except what we already know: that, like most liberals, you've already decided that everything Republicans say is wrong.

I don't deprecate the law -- in fact, I'm counting on it -- but the truth is that politics, like most human artifices, is a psychological phenomenon as much as it's anything else. Why do so many judges slap down Trump's lawsuits? It certainly could be because of insufficient evidence, or it could be because the MSM has primed them to believe that everything Trump says is nonsense. They see what they want to see. The will outpaces the reason. Happens all the time. Why do you think the Dems are laying so much stress on Biden as "President-Elect"? It's because they want the race to be over -- in people's heads!

  10. Dr. Waddy.

Evidence: The available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid.

If you want to lean into the "information" part of the definition of evidence, yes, there is a lot of information out there. The problem is that the information is not factual.

I have look at most of this "so-called" evidence. It mostly consists of charges and conjecture. If there was more to the "evidence," the Trump team would not be 1-55 in court cases.

The reason judges -- like the 9 justices on SCOTUS -- are slapping down the suits? The lack valid evidence. Do you really believe "the MSM has primed them to believe that everything Trump says is nonsense?" Seriously?

Why are Democrats stressing Joe Biden as "President-Elect"? Because he is.
