Et tu, Fox?

Friends, as we lament the decline and fall of Fox News, here's another great piece that analyzes how the mighty indeed fell:

  1. Hopefully, should Tucker Carlson walk away from Fox, he will be able to start his own News Network, or talk show. We can only hope.

  2. While getting around for work yesterday, I overheard one of the FOX reporters Leland Vitter on the radio berate a Trump spokesperson; Livid...bias, nonsense (my thoughts). ANYWAYS, goodbye Fox and the entitled minions that run that company. I agree Ray, should Tucker walk away...he certainty is not happy with his employer calling Arizona on Election night. It's just a matter of time before FOX rids of him.

  3. Ray, alternative right-wing news networks seem to be thriving right now, although I can't say I'm impressed by the websites of Newsmax and OANN. They have a long way to go before they can match Fox for breadth of coverage and digital sophistication. The Bongino Report was recommended to me as well. That's got some good content. The real question is whether, should Trump lose (which is unthinkable), will he sponsor a new broadcast and social media empire? Trump TV and Trumpbook may be here sooner than we think.

I wonder if Tucker and Fox will part ways? They need each other, to a point. Will Fox's ratings collapse continue into 2021? Not necessarily, if Trump were to concede (which of course he never will), because then Fox and the American right would likely pivot quickly to criticism of the incoming administration, on which both could agree.

  5. Or perhaps they're jostling each other as they line up at the trough?
