All Aboard the Trump Train! Last Call!

Friends, my latest article speaks for itself, as so many of them do...  Enjoy!

It's Trump or Bust, America!

As Americans cast their ballots, it's worthwhile to review the reasons why a vote for Trump isn't just advisable — it's essential.

For one thing, if Biden wins, America and our democracy face unprecedented peril.

If Biden wins:

  • Our Supreme Court will be packed, and it will thus cease to serve its intended function as a check on executive and legislative power. Our Constitution will be nullified in all but name.

  • Our borders, only recently secured by herculean efforts, will be flung open, and the days of massive caravans of “refugees” arriving in this country will return.

  • Trump's efforts to renegotiate our trading relationships with countries like China will be abandoned, and the “giant sucking sound” of U.S. jobs heading overseas will grow ever louder.

  • The culture wars will be won by the Left, and our heritage and reputation will be trashed, and all memory of the Founders erased.

  • Our considerable progress erasing the stain of racism will be ignored, and racial grievances will be nursed unrelentingly, leading to acrimony and violence.

  • Masking will be mandated, and punitive lockdowns will permanently destroy whole industries.

  • Trillions in new spending will be authorized to fund the “Green New Deal” and a host of new entitlement programs, driving the U.S. ever closer to financial collapse and undermining the solvency of Social Security and Medicare.

  • Government control over health care will expand, taking us closer to “socialized medicine”.

  • Law enforcement, deprived of funding and respect, will cease to protect the American people from a rising tide of crime and violence. Meanwhile, the justice system will become a tool for enforcing progressive orthodoxy.

  • Abortion on demand, up to the moment of birth (and conceivably beyond), will be enshrined as a “human right”, and millions more lives will be lost.

  • Assault weapons” will be banned and confiscated, and before we know it everything from air rifles to flare guns will be redefined as “assault weapons”.

  • Freedom of conscience will be denied to people of faith, who will be expected to fall in line and endorse political correctness...or else.

  • Efforts to promote election integrity will be declared “unconstitutional” and abandoned, and ballots will be sent willy-nilly to everyone, guaranteeing Democrats permanent political control.

  • Taxes will be raised, regulations expanded, and the American dollar debased in an orgy of spending, triggering a recession or a depression.

  • Left-wing control over the press, broadcasters, and social media will ensure that any expression of dissent will quickly be labeled “hate speech” or “disinformation”, and it will be promptly censored and the offending parties exiled from the public sphere.

Plainly, therefore, a vote for Trump is essential, because a win by the Biden-Harris ticket means a lurch towards socialism, authoritarianism, anti-Americanism, intolerance, and social engineering.

A vote for Trump is thus an essential civic duty for all Americans, but I would like to suggest an additional reason why a vote for Trump is a moral imperative as well.

Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States, was duly elected by the American people to serve them and to “Make America Great Again”. Despite this, he has been subjected, for four years, to an unprecedented and shameless campaign of calumny, sabotage, and vilification. No political leader in the history of our country has ever endured more hostile treatment by the media, by the cultural elite, by our education system, and even by the bureaucracy and the “Deep State”. Not only has Trump himself been targeted since day one for personal and political destruction, but so have his family members and, increasingly, even his supporters. The well of visceral Trump-hatred in this country has proved bottomless.

Confronted by this granite wall of opposition, it would have been very easy for President Trump to throw up his hands and say, “Enough!” He could have retreated to the White House basement, à la Biden, and forsaken his duties. He could have resigned the presidency and returned to a comfortable existence as a real estate tycoon. He could have hopped on Air Force One, fled the horrors of the Beltway, and parked himself on a pristine beach in the Caribbean, never to darken America's door again.

President Trump could have done any of these things, and in doing so he would have spared himself and his loved ones much grief and pain. But he didn't. Donald Trump — patriot, warrior, and paragon of American grit that he is — chose instead to stand up to the vast and vicious forces arrayed against him. He chose to fight the good fight, and to lead America in the direction of freedom, strength, growth, and, most of all, self-respect. He loved his country and his countrymen enough to weather the storm of Trump-hatred, and to leave no stone unturned in the effort to make America into a better version of itself.

The best reason of all to vote for President Trump on November 3rd, therefore, is this: he has, against the odds and against his own interests, never stopped fighting for you. Now, duty, honor, and decency compel you to do likewise. You must fight for him.

  1. I still believe that the worst is yet to come, and that The Left will NOT accept the results of this election, unless Biden wins. This election is going to be the most contested election in The History of The United States of America. Get ready for a major political shit storm the day after tomorrow. Expect more violence in cities across the nation. Expect voter fraud.

  2. "Back in The Day" when I was an undergraduate at a college on
The Left Coast" a guy I knew all the way through school always used to say that the interests and goals of The American Left were basically international with the intent to establish a Socialist dictatorship, American style. Back then I always thought that type of thinking was a bit far out. However, since the 1990's I have realized how right he was, no pun intended.

One of the reasons that Trump is hated so much by The Leftist elites, is that he got isn the way of their complete takeover plans. Even Bush was no real obstacle, because in essence Bush was a RINO, but Trump is a "horse of a completely different color, and a real threat to Socialist aims.

Now the DemoNISTAS are truly desperate, so this is the reason I am talking about the major political shit storm from The Left that is going to get much worse the day after tomorrow. Look for the worst this coming week.

  5. Dr. Waddy, too bad that virtually none of what you say is going to happen. Taxes WILL go up -- for those making over $400,000 per year. Corporate taxes may go up, though either eliminating loopholes or instituting a minimum corporate tax may prevent the necessity of raising the corporate rate.

Everything else up there about what will happen is just FALSE. You have taken all of Trump's baseless charges and wrapped them up in a ball.

And your lamentation about "poor Trump" -- Donald Trump has deserved every bit of contempt that he has received. He is a mendacious, misogynistic, racist, petty, self-aggrandizing, ignorant serial adulterer who has no business being anywhere near the White House.

The only fighting Trump has done has been for his own self-interest.

Like I said before, you just hate Trump, so whatever he is doing, has done, and will do, is automatically wrong. So again, why don't you come up with some new material, instead of the endless propaganda you spout. Why don't you refute every single point that Dr. Waddy has made regarding the consequences of a Biden Presidency. All you have done in your current post is take a couple of points, and dismissed everything else as FALSE. Then all you do in your last paragraph is "froth at the mouth" about Trump. I take it you teach college, so why don't you post comments that reflect the intelligence expected from people of your position. Quit blasting Trump. We already know you hate him, so quit boring us, and refute every single point Dr. Waddy made regarding the "perils" of a Biden Presidency. I don't think this is too much to ask. If you can't do that, THEN SHUT THE HELL UP!

    2. Ray, yes, I loathe Donald Trump, one of the most despicable politicians the U.S. has ever produced (and an even worse human being).

But, that does not account for my post to Dr. Waddy. I was not going to do a line-by-line refutation because 1) virtually none of it is true and my refuting it is a tremendous waste of time and 2) you can't prove a negative.

For example, Dr. Waddy says that our borders will be flung open. There is no evidence for that. That is not Vice-President Biden's policy, and never has been. Biden is for DREAMERS staying and for proposing a path to citizenship for undocumented individuals who are here. That is not flinging open the borders.

Or, the claim that efforts to promote election integrity will be labelled as unconstitutional. That's not a Biden policy. In fact, Biden has advocated for greater election than Trump has. Trump has not provided adequate protection from outside interference from countries such as Russia and China. Trump is the one trying to create chaos about legal mail-in voting. Trump is the one engaging in major voter suppression efforts through baseless lawsuits.

The fact is, Dr. Waddy's claims are baseless on their face and are not worth my time wading through each one to demonstrate the obviousness of their baselessness.

One final thought -- Trump is not "fighting the good fight." His campaign has been one of lies (about the pandemic, about the economy, about Biden, etc.) and divisiveness (supporting the Proud Boys, supporting forcing a Biden-Harris bus off the road, supporting firing Dr. Fauci, supporting "locking up" Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, etc.). So spare me the image of the valiant patriot trying to save America. That's not Donald Trump.

  6. Rod fromJack: Please define the term racist. It has been so misused and overused since the '60's that it is difficult to know the meaning intended by the user. Much of the time it is a reflexive accusation about which the accuser has not thought, beyond assuming that it is a self evident charge bringing automatic condemnation. Judging by the general tenor of your comments over time, I would doubt this of you. Please tell us then, what is your definition of the term and how does it fit President Trump in your view?

  7. "The worst is yet to come". Isn't that your motto, Ray? You must have it emblazoned on your coat of arms... Ha ha. Hey, you may be right, but I'm not sure your foresight will avail you much, unless you've stocked up on ammo, which you probably have!

I agree that the Left and the establishment hate Trump so much in part because he has dared to interrupt their march towards a social democratic utopia (with a distinctly globalist spin). Trump's nationalism drives the brie-and-crackers set absolutely bonkers.

Thank you, Jack! I know I speak for many Trumpers when I say that I feel a debt to the President, and I'm not a man to ignore my debts.

Rod, you say that Trump cares only about his "self-interest". I frankly fail to see how he has advanced his self-interest in the least by becoming the most hated President in American history... Has he grown richer? I know a lot of Trump-haters like to get huffy about the fact that foreign diplomats stay in his hotels, but his hotels have also been boycotted by many elitists, and his company has foregone many deals to avoid a possible conflict of interest. There's no evidence that he IS richer, as far as I'm aware. Other than money, what might he have gained from the last four years, besides grief and torment?

Rod, you're certainly entitled to your Trump-hatred. This is a free country, after all -- thanks to Trump! But, when it's clear that Biden will haul down much of Trump's wall, end his policy of forcing asylum applicants to apply from outside our borders, and allow asylum seekers to remain in the country while their applications are pondered (for years), I think it's equally clear that the bad old days of hundreds of thousands of opportunists joining caravans to the north are about to return (should Biden pull it off). To me, that doesn't sound like "border control" in any meaningful sense.

Rod, you know very well that Trump has never "supported" neo-Nazis, Proud Boys, or QAnon. In fact, he's condemned all of them...but apparently not often enough or vocally enough to satisfy you and your ilk. But let's face it: no words coming out of his mouth could EVER convince you that Trump isn't a racist. He's a bad, bad man, and he's not Rod-like; ergo, he's a racist. That's what it comes down to.

Jack, the Left's working definition of "racism" is pretty simple: it's what you accuse someone of when you want them to shut up.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Rod and Ray, I hope you can take a deep breath and remain "frenemies". I personally think it's a good thing that we can keep a dialogue going here. Plus, we "fascists" may need a testimonial from Rod someday soon... Let's not burn any bridges, huh? :)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Dr. Waddy, when did Biden ever say he was going to haul down the wall? As for asylum seekers, unlike Trump, Biden will increase the numbers of administrative judges to rule far more quickly on asylum claims. It is very difficult to establish an asylum claim, and the vast majority will be turned down -- as they were during President Obama's administration. You also seem to forget that during President Obama's administration, there were more people sent back than any previous administration.

Trump initially supported all three groups. It was when his staff said that he needed to go back out and condemn those groups. As Maya Angelou advised: "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time."

As far as "self-interest," Trump directed millions upon millions of dollars to his resort properties when he went for his record-breaking number of golf outings in order to reimburse for Secret Service, etc. In addition, his family received a number of benefits, like all the patents and trademarks Ivanka received from China.

His tax cuts have benefitted his company tremendously.

If Trump has lost money, it has way more to do with Don, Jr. and Eric being in charge than any sacrifice he has made.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Rod, if increasing the number of immigration judges is your idea of sound leadership, then you should vote for Trump, who did exactly that. But you and I both know that the key question isn't the process, it's this: when illegals show up and claim asylum, do we let them stay (indefinitely) or do we send them home? On that simple question, you can determine a candidate's seriousness about border protection. I would also remind you that the Obama administration deported record numbers of illegals...in its early years! Obama and Biden have been apologizing for that ever since. Draw your own conclusions.

Whether Trump stays at his own resorts or not seems like the definition of "small ball" to me. Yeah, sure -- Trump ran for President so he could bill the Secret Service for drink orders. Give me a break.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Dr. Waddy, actually, Trump has not increased the number of judges. There was a request to increase the number of Asylum Officials from 500 to 750, but those are the folks who do the initial interviews, not who make the final decision.

As for President Obama, from 2009-2014, the Obama administration deported 300K to 400K per year. The last three years, the number dropped to just under 250K, as the administration under President Obama focused on deporting criminals. The number of deportations under Trump has only been slightly higher.

BTW, making millions from the government at Trump's resorts is not "small ball."

    ReplyDelete
  12. Dr.Waddy from Jack: Yes, Constitutional freedom of speech should guarantee freedom from legal sanction for those who express hatred of the President. But it does not afford them excuse from criticism for the dialectical and intellectual challenge anyone expressing such an emotion frivolously or for highly controversial reasons should be prepared to face with principle and credibility. "Hate" has been demonstrated yet another of the convenient terms leftists use to intimidate and to bypass the proven standards of reasoned argument. In the less discriminating on the left it has become pure reflex and a charge perceived by them proven upon very accusation itself.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Rod from Jack:You have presented two very controversial examples of what you consideration racism but you have not defined the term. Iam reminded of the Scotus Justice who said words to the effect of " I can't define obscenity "(or pornography) "but I know it when I see it".

    ReplyDelete
  14. Rod from Jack: The term racism carries with it very pejorative connotations ; accusation alone can destroy careers, ruin reputations and even marshall very consequential charges of personal or corporate criminal and civil liability. There can be little doubt that it has sometimes been used with presumptuous malice and without measured consideration. That starts with a clear, reasoned definition of this powerful term. You have not provided this and I still do not know what standards you have applied to President Trump's behavior to justify this serious accusation. This is a fault often manifested by those of leftist persuasion and for persons who value principled dialogue (and I think you do) it is unsound.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Rod, you, as usual, avoid the central issue: how can you control the border, if you reward virtually everyone who crosses it with the right to stay in the U.S. indefinitely? It doesn't compute.

Jack, you're right -- Rod is using an essentially intuitive "definition" of racism. He knows it when he sees it, indeed. Apparently, record numbers of people of color DIDN'T see it in President Trump this election cycle, which is why Rod's dreams of a blue wave fizzled.

    1. As of this moment, Biden looks like he will be seen as the winner by this afternoon with, given the turnaround in WI and MI, giving him 270 even without PA's votes in.

As for the Senate, that largely depends on ME and GA (presuming enough votes come in for Peters). Then Biden hits the trifecta.

      A lot closer than desired.

BTW, the only place Trump over performed with people of color is in Miami-Dade, where he scared the Cuban-Americans with fears of communism.

    2. Rod

Don't expect you to engage with me. However, any time you post I plan to reply to whatever you have to say.

With regard to Miami-Dade, Trump didn't have to scare Cuban-Americans about communism. Communism is why so many of them escaped from Cuba to begin with, and their grand kids grew up in The U.S. Remember Fidel Castro and "Che"?

You need to start putting your brain (or what's left of it) in gear before you start posting. Give your leftist brain a chance.

Looking forward to more stupid remarks from you.

      Have a nice day, fool.

    3. Dr. Waddy, are you purposely missing the point? You add a sufficient number of judges at the border, even if it is a short term surge, you clear up the backlog of asylum cases as deal with each new one quickly. That does not lead to an "indefinite" stay in the U.S. In addition, most cases of asylum do not get granted, so the prospects of winning an asylum claim won't be an incentive.

As for racism, it is defined as: "the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another." I have contributed a number of examples here (today and other days) that clearly demonstrate Trump's racism.

I had a former professor bless me out on social media for being one of the 60 million people who voted for the President. It's sad, because I am not a racist. Why would you want a president who will turn this country into a socialist state? Seriously? That is a legitimate question. Just knock off the racism stuff, it isn't working. 1. Linda, I am sorry that you are tired of hearing the racism word. I will pass that on to my Black students at Morgan State, who are tired of racism as well -- because they experience it every damn day of their lives!

I never said you were a racist. In addition, you don't have to believe me in thinking Trump is a racist. Racist groups think he is one of them.

Joe Biden will not turn the U.S. into a socialist state. The closest Biden talks about socialism is having a public OPTION in health care. Joe Biden has always been supportive of capitalism. He also believes in progressive taxation -- so did Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover, neither of whom was a socialist.

As for energy policy, there are a small core of radical Green New Dealers in the Democratic Party. Most are for an energy policy that transitions away from fossil fuels (which, by the way, are not renewable) and to more sustainable forms of energy. ALL the energy companies are already big into renewables. The minority of radical Green New Dealers want the transition to happen in five years. Anyone who knows energy policy are looking at trying to meet certain goals over decades.

BTW, the first thing Biden will try is to get a major infrastructure bill passed -- $1-2 trillion. It will be a win-win because it will deliver high-paying jobs and repair our crumbling infrastructure in a sustainable way. It will also be a good political move because it will get folks from both parties working together.

  18. Rod, even the phony exit polls beloved of the media (which this cycle had Biden winning by at least 5 points more than he did) admit that Trump dramatically increased his share of the minority vote (across the board). But hey, if you're happy with relaxing your death grip on people of color, so are we!

You put it well, Rod: "Biden will be seen as the winner". By whom? By you? By the MSM? No shock there. What about Republicans, though? What about federal judges? Red opinions matter, Rod!

Rod, the backlog of immigration cases is vast. There's no way it can be cleared in the immediate future. Look at what happened at the border and with catch and release under Obama-Biden. That's what they want to take us back to. No thanks.

Your definition of racism is sound. Please now take the next step: prove that Trump has said or done something avowedly or clearly racist. "Supporting neo-Nazis" is an interpretation. It's certainly not a characterization that any of the rest of us will accept.

Ray, congrats on your insurance empire, which you have wisely kept hidden from the hoi polloi, who otherwise would surely have hit you up for a loan...

Welcome back, Linda! We missed you terribly. :) I agree: the accusations of racism are just plain tiresome. Clearly they've lost their bite -- otherwise Donald Trump, super-racist, wouldn't be earning unprecedented support from minorities.

And hip-hip-hooray for fossil fuels, which are keeping me warm and toasty as we speak, and in mere moments will be filling my belly with hot food. I daren't kill the goose that lays the golden egg.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Dr. Waddy, Edison Research, which has provided the information that you cite, reported that the exit polls revealed an increase of 3% nonwhite vote overall for Trump. Not only is that within the margin of error, it is hardly dramatic.

Who will see Biden as a winner -- Trump himself, who has been desperately trying all day to find a way to stop the vote counting, and pursuing legal challenges.

Yes, the backlog of immigration cases is enormous, and has gotten way worse under this administration. If you don't try, the problem only gets worse.

As for "catch and release," that happened during the Bush administration. SCOTUS ruled in Zadvydas vs. Davis that the government couldn’t indefinitely hold individuals beyond six months if it’s unlikely that ICE could actually deport them in a short period of time.

Plus, unlike what Trump always claimed, Justice Department data showed that -- depending on the year -- that from 2012-2016, 60-75% of those under catch and release showed up for their hearings.

Again, I have shown numerous instances of Trump being a racist. Trump was a racist before running for president, having been fined for failing to rent to nonwhites, and for his "birther" stance regarding President Obama.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Rod, I agree that Biden isn't a socialist, although he will move us in the direction of even bigger government, as you admitted in your very next comment.

The exit poll you cite is bogus. Look at its results for men and women voting for Trump and Biden, and compare those figures to the actual vote count. This year's exit polls were as useless as this year's regular polls.

So Trump is racist because the Trump Organization in the early 70s agreed to a settlement and admitted no wrongdoing? Yeah, right. Trump is racist because he thought Obama was born in Kenya? That's potentially xenophobic, but it has nothing to do with race. Are black people generally assumed to be born in Kenya? Is that a common racist stereotype, Rod? No. It's an anti-Obama stereotype. Maybe not Trump's finest hour, but not racist.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Dr. Waddy, you were the person making reference to the poll, as it was the one with exit polls results being reported widely (and is the one partnered with Fox News).

We won't know anything related to who actually voted for whom until after post-election surveys are done.

Dr. Waddy, I could spend the rest of the month putting out examples of Trump being racist, and you would deny each one. I could show you Trump in a Klan outfit, and you would say it was a Halloween costume. So, if you want to believe Trump is not a racist, go right ahead. I will maintain my belief that Trump is a racist.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Rod, thank you for finally admitting that the strongest argument you have for the notion that Trump is racist is "because I said so". And that, let's face it, is the core of the leftist worldview. I admire its elegant simplicity!

I take it for granted that Trump's percentage of the female and minority vote was actually higher than the exit polls reported. It could hardly be less, since he outperformed the exit polls in terms of the votes cast (and that's including imaginary votes in all your favorite Dem cities).

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Dr. Waddy. Of course, that is not what I argued about Trump being a racist. What I said is that I could continue to give you example after example after example of Trump's racism, and, because of your closed-mindedness, you would just reject each one out of hand. So, I am not wasting my time. As I have noted, you don't have to take my word for Trump being a racist. The racists think he is a racist.

As for the vote, you can ASSUME anything about the vote you want. Since people vote in secret, the only information we can glean about who voted for whom is via polls. We can know how many men and women voted. We can know how many whites versus Blacks voted. We can know how many Dems, Trumpsters and Independents voted. But we don't know who they actually voted for.

    1. Many Cubans who fled Cuba in the 50s and early 60s were wealthy landowners who exploited their workers. They also supported the murderous dictator, Fulgencio Batista, until Castro overthrew him. Forgive me if I don't shed any tears for them, or their children and grandchildren. Yes, Castro was as brutal as Batista, and those who left after 1961 tended to be further down the socioeconomic ladder, and saw Castro's oppression firsthand. Those have more of a legitimate fear of a totalitarian regime.

In addition, our foreign policy toward Cuba has done nothing for the citizens of Cuba. In fact, it is as oppressive as their government. We have always had a policy of squashing budding socialist regimes, even when they are elected, whether it be Mosaddegh in Iran, Arbenz in Guatemala, or Allende in Chile. Thus, we can claim there never have been any workable socialist societies.

      Delete
  24. Rod from Jack: There has never been a workable Marxist society because Marxism does not work and has proven in power to be as inhuman as Naziism. Chileans knew what was in store for them and defended their property, freedom and sanity from the assured Marxist onslaught.US power and resolve saved the world from this curse. Naziism is buried and Marxism deserves to share its grave.

  25. Rod, I beg to differ: Fidel was not "as brutal as Batista". He was MUCH MORE BRUTAL! Show me one metric that demonstrates parity between those two regimes. You're right that we've repeatedly tried to destabilize Marxist governments, and, as Jack and most of the people of the world would have it, I would like to say: you're welcome! Anyway, the "success" of the centrist Biden in 2020 seems to have taken some of the wind out of sails of the AOC wing of the Democratic Party, for now, and I sincerely hope that the Dems will see reason as a governing party (should they be granted the opportunity to govern) and move to the middle.
