Thanks, But No Thanks, Obama!

Friends, file this away under "amazing, but true".  Former U.S. President Barack Obama is officially on record claiming that women are superior to men.  Read all about it here:

Unfortunately, this kind of casual bigotry has become commonplace on the Left.  Men, white people, Christians, police officers, capitalists -- the list of scumbags, from the liberal perspective, is long, and it's often defined demographically rather than ideologically.  To put it another way, it's pure prejudice that Obama is venting, and he's far from alone.  Can you imagine if any Republican said something similarly disparaging about women???  We'd never hear the end of it.

Lefties, it's time to stop your divisive identity politics and instead judge every man, woman, and child on this planet by their abilities and their character, not their gender, race, religion, or any other such category.  We thought we outgrew your bigotry a long time ago.  Sadly, we were mistaken.

  1. Wait, we're not? (lol)

This caused quite an uproar in the Conley household. Obama also said, "Now women, I just want you to know, you are not perfect, but what I can say pretty indisputably is that you're better than us." Wow, what a cut down. I totally agree with you Dr. Waddy, stop the divisive nonsense.

  2. Dr. Waddy and Linda: You know, I've thought Obama to be a straight up Marxist who did whatever he could get away with while President, knowing he couldn't seal the deal. Maybe I'm just plain wrong; maybe he's your garden variety silly brainless knee jerk liberal. Its not enough to recognize that some people have been done injustice and to support the ending of the injustice. No, they must be EXALTED and if that puts all members of groups in which some have been responsible for injustice, why, so be it. And when a still very influential individual like our thankfully former President expresses such an opinion and worse, has the power to enforce it, it is CONSEQUENTIAL.

Also, I get a kick out of the way he presumes to use the word "us". Gee, he's not speaking for me but the unspoken assumption when any liberal holds forth is that any opposition is automatically discredited because it IS in opposition to them.. Sure, most women are better at some things and most men are better at others. Does it balance out? Probably not, that is not the way life works out but just this consideration is a mental exercise to which Obama and the rest of the quiche eaters are oblivious.

  3. Dr. Waddy and Linda: I meant to say above ". . . and if that puts all members of groups in which some have been responsible for injustice at sometimes undeserved disadvantage . . .

  4. Linda, I'm glad to see you're still slumming it with us men -- mental and moral midgets though we may be... Oy! :)

Jack, I agree -- it is unquestionably consequential when a former US President blithely asserts the inferiority of half the world's population. Moreover, he performed the amusing thought experiment of wiping us out, to create a utopia! This isn't just prejudice, therefore -- it's the germ of genocidal prejudice! Not cool, Obama.

What's more distressing to me, however, is how few media outlets picked up on this outrage. Similar sentiments expressed about women would be seized upon and condemned universally. The denigration of men doesn't even merit a response, apparently. This tells me all I need to know about how entrenched anti-male sentiments have become.

  5. Dr. Waddy: Of course the completely compromised MSM must be counted upon to reflexively react with indifference to that of which is it is( with albeit, its primarily emotional standards) arrogantly opposed!
