Friends, democracy hangs by a thread, and World War III is imminent!!! No one cares about all that, however, because a portrait of Donald Trump, which he considers unflattering, has been removed from the Colorado State House. The only thing that surprises me is that Trump's Colorado mug shot wasn't much less flattering. I mean, the purpose of art, like the purpose of everything, is to trash Trump, right? Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin has sent Trump a different portrait (of Trump) that he (Trump) reportedly likes. Images of that picture haven't been released, but I believe it looks a little something like this:
In other news, Trump is sticking it to a number of elite universities, and apparently some of them are caving to his demands. That's very heartening. In the long run, even better might be the complete disinvestment of the federal government from the debacle of elite higher ed. Scaling the ivory tower will prove mighty difficult for conservatives, but knocking it down could prove more feasible...and just as gratifying!

Dr. Waddy from Jack: DITTO, DITTO, DITTO on a fullscale assault on that dominant element of the American academy which presumes the role of far leftist intellectual dictator and which consequently protects, enables and encourages on its campuses "revolutionary radical" mobs who launch virulent
ReplyDeleteonslaughts (even physical assault)on ANY who excite their disapproval (notably just now, Jews but potentially all who cross them). Let those erstwhile exalted schools face heretofore unimaginable sanction enabled by a new Federal administration which honors the common sense interests of the vast majority of American taxpayers'!
I've hoped for so long to see state legislators defund state taxpayer supported "universities" which sneer at the cultures of their home states. That would of course hit them where they cannot but FEEL it and we know how vital "feelings" are to the radical left. Of course our NY state gov't is far above such "philistine "offense but most of the rest of the states of our nation would, if their citizens were fully cognizant of the America hating teaching and demonstrating their tax dollars enable at their flagship "universities" and even their satellite campuses, REVOLT!
Now we have a Federal Administration fully aware of the Marxist capture of far too many of our "universities" public and "private". And it is taking action and getting results by intimidating a grievously leftist captured Columbia U. by certainly threatening the generous Federal funding it has long arrogantly presumed its RIGHT. Let that example stand as an irrefutable warning! Let it ASSURE any educational institution or system, be it public or private - like Columbia U - "university" ,college, secondary or even elementary , which receives Federal tax payer funding, that use of these funds to support vindictively forced far leftist bias, advocating hatred of American civilization and culture, in contemptuous defiance of settled standards of intellectual freedom and open, mutually courteous consideration of DIVERSE views , will be disabled with dispatch and conviction!
Let this inspire state legislatures to similarly deny state funding to blatantly presumptuous and contemptuous far leftist educational institutions throughout that spectrum, including public libraries ( far too many of which timidly give in to the librarian profession threatening dictates of the far left American Library Association.)
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Oh my, what a carnival of farce this portrait incident is. How does one view Putin's grotesque suggestion? Does it herald increased amity between Russia and America? Or is it frivolous mockery? Its all part of the game.
ReplyDeleteI think U of Colorado, situated in consequently fashionable far left Boulder, is hereby well schooled , as indicated in its cringing submission to Trumpian disapproval. Let it continue to manifest thus its fearful submission to plebian American interests!
RAY TO JACK
ReplyDeleteColorado is too lovely a state to be run by a bunch of left wing pukes and assholes.
Ray from Jack: Colorado's subjugation is a warning to the rest of the common sense Mt. West. I think that and the anti far left attitude which obtains widely in the U.S. now may make it harder for far leftists fleeing the hell holes they have created on the left coast to impose their presumptuous radical ways on other states in that very patriotic region. The far left is antiamerican to its very core and that DOES NOT sit well with Mt. Westerners.
ReplyDeleteRAY TO JACK
ReplyDeleteFortunately, Colorado Springs is reliably conservative/right-wing. Some of that may be due to the fact that Fort Carson is located there, and Cheyenne Mountain.
The problem in Colorado is with Denver and the surrounding areas, which is where the state government is located.
Ray from Jack: Colorado's is a situation with which we in NY state are familiar. Most of our state is common sense down to earth America. But then there is amoebic in more ways than one lala land on the Hudson which is blithe to work its presumptions on the whole state.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack:Concerning this hoohah about these military communications having fallen into the hands of an anti Trump "journalist" and treacherously published. I've seen no speculation about the possibility of it having been hacked, though it was suggested by the President's Press Secretary that ongoing investigation on how this happened may reveal some surprising results shortly.
ReplyDeleteThe left is slavering over what it sees as the anarchic possibilities in this situation and brings to mind the aid and comfort they enthusiastically afforded to our enemy in time of the Vietnam War.I'm sure the Houthis and their Iranian sponsor are as grateful for the info and encouragement as were the benevolent NorthVietnamese in those good old days the memory of which makes so wistful today's beleagured America haters.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: I don't think DJT would refrain from using the treason statute and enforcing it upon conviction.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: I mean gee, these "public minded" scriveners at the Atlantic COULD have said and done the following: "Why bless me for a fool but just look what happened to show up on our device!Of course we'll confidentially apprise the officials therein recorded that this happened and remind them that if it had been published (perish the thought) it would be not only an embarrassment but a welcome and encouraging benefit to those who wish to do our country very much dirt; why it could even cost American lives."
ReplyDeleteThey could have done that but, alas, they apparently saw in this surely serendipitous windfall much opportunity for attack upon an Administration and President for which have already much, ehh, hostility.
But then again, perhaps access to this conversation was expected due to its purposeful invasion by people without the best of intentions?
At any rate, it could well be, couldn't it, that the Atlantic placed a priority on partisan political advantage over the "disadvantage" publication would do to national security and the consequent aid and comfort it would award to terrorists.
What a comfort for us it is though, to know that there are"American" journalists reflexively and traditionally ready and eager to jump upon any mistake made by our humanly fallible military, right up to its command structure, for any inadvertent mistake it might make. For those who revel in the "perfection" promised in their visions of a forced and correct future, this is natural. By now, with the '60s now 60 years seasoned , this is a revered tradition in their "profession".
Jack, I'd say that higher ed is a long way from assuming that it will be held accountable for its crimes against liberty (I mean, it never has been), but what happened to Columbia is at least a shot across their bow.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ray that what has become of Colorado is beyond tragic. It reminds me of what happened to California, in fact -- an equally magnificent and beautiful state. Marxism is an ugly thing.
Jack, the hue and cry over Signalgate seems to have done Trump no lasting harm, and there was no good reason why it should. Let us learn the appropriate lesson: don't put a single legacy journalist in your list of contacts, because contacting them can only lead to bad things!
