Euro-Weenies on the Rampage!

Friends, check out my latest Newsmakers broadcast, in which I dare the Europeans to assume the burden of their own defense.  I also analyze the emptiness of the Dem attacks on the filthy rich, the outrageousness of public funding for PBS and NPR, the last minute decision to pull the nomination of Elise Stefanik as the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., the rarity of pro-Hamas protests on most college campuses, the persistent problem of judicial overreach, the possibility of U.S. membership in the Commonwealth of Nations, and the makeover that the Smithsonian Institution is getting under MAGA auspices.  You won't want to miss my hard-hitting and incisive commentary!

In other news, could Russia be playing for time in ceasefire talks with the U.S. and Ukraine, with an eye to landing a knockout blow during a spring offensive?  It wouldn't surprise me.  It rather depends on what is more important to Russia: repairing its relationship with the West, or grabbing more land.

The dastardly Dems are making a lot of a tiny uptick in inflation, but so far the U.S. economy has weathered the storm of a "tariff war" fairly well.  Note as well that wages went up the same amount as prices, so there's no impending doom for consumers, much as the media would like you to believe otherwise...

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Re the latest Newsmaker broadcast: I do not think that Glen Greewald's opinion that the Houthi's are stronger than European navies is supportable. I'm confident the Brits alone could deal with them and the Dutch and Germans are competent sea fighters too. Why have they maybe not done so? Maybe their leadership is not as objective and businesslike as DJT.

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack : I think so very much of the power of the american far left derives from its reduction unto brainless reflexive servitude the young and intellectually introduced but still neophyte. Often they have no children, no mortgages, no careers and certainly no comprehension of their responsibility to provide for their distant future over time. Its easy to be radical then, especially in the lala ambience of some of the American academy where they garner the gratitude of grimly professional faculty political dissemblers. And the Marxist assertion of the complete discreditation of any thought preceding Marx and the inviolability of his Promethean assertions and those of his benevolent 20th century acolytes such as Lenin, Stalin, Mao and da da da dahh, "Che" are so convenient! No need for anything other than feelings after embrace of this convenient doctrine!

So much for the whippersnappers. For the established well to do: you have well described their motivation but I would add one more. It is of no decisive consequence for them to virtue signal their support of such counterintuitive dreck as "bail reform" and "compassion" for incarcerated victimizers . In their detached neighborhoods they do not suffer the direct consequences of such insane largesse, which only pleases and excites those for whom cynical and often sociopathic victimization is a way of life which they cannot imagine renouncing. Even lala land Manhattanites often manifest such foolishness. "Oh sure, the city is full of crime but what are the percentages that any one of us will be accosted? Machts nichts!"

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: It is understandable that the "revolutionary" far left would recruit foot soldiers from "elite" "universities" for all the reasons you described. But those schools cannot escape particular responsibility for far left anarchy and terrorism they countenance and sometimes enable. They do it because they want to and because previous national administrations have apologetically supported them; nix on that now!

Places like Columbia richly deserve the fiscal reckoning fixed on Columbia by the Trump administration. That example should serve as a warning to all other "universities" which also display Columbia's cynical presumption of inalienable right to use tax payer funds to suborn America. Should they persist , let them do so on their own. If they are "public" institutions , let MAGA and legislatures defund them or take them over!

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Its encouraging to be reminded that there are still academic institutions not captured by the far left. They could be models around which to build a redeemed American Academy. They are preparing a truly "liberally" graced cadre which can replace the marxist termites in our vital structures of learning.

Meanwhile Civil War II intensifies. The election was Gettysburg but like Civil War I , the enemy still has much, much vitriol and sedition left to expend. The antiamerican left knows that education at all levels is one of the pillars of their now 60 year campaign to destroy our country. This is a hill they must fight on and they are doing so, with ever intensifying viciousness driven by the profoundly dreadful present possibility that they have met their betters in DJT and MAGA America. As it was in the 1864 Virginia campaign, the this time political combat will manifest heretofore unimaginable depths of cultural antipathy as an increasingly beleagured radical rump tries to salvage its dream of "fundamental transformation" (with plenty of punishment included) of an America it regards as the definition of evil. As is always true with the far left "by any means necessary" is their code.

We also have a clear objective: the relief of our country from the bizarre post '60s marxist ordeal which has so damaged our civilization. Also driving us is the realization that should the radicals somehow recover from this long night into which they have been cast by an America thoroughly apprised now of their totalitarian intent, it will embark on a vindictively final payback meant to ensure that detested American common sense never again rise to plague them.

  5. Dr. Waddy from Jack : A current article in RealClearPolitics by the redoubtable Heather MacDonald describes the disingenuous reaches to which far left "universities" are taking their passionate "resistance" to the present administration's demonstrated hostility to any Federal taxpayer involvement in their totalitarian Marxist , still unlawfully DEI shamed presumptions. This of course includes their virulent tolerance and sometimes enablement of potentially murderous Jew hatred on their benighted campuses.

She cited revealing examples of how "recalcitrant" far left "universities" cynically seek to comply with Administration proscription of such empowered hatred and consequent bias by simply rewording the titles of their dictatorial DEI office and masking their anti white male, anti Asian overachievers and anticonservative admission and faculty recruitment policies. They hope to get by with bad willed euphemism.

Heather MacDonald is very frank about how hard it will be to discredit and disable these very, very purposeful America haters. She says we must be ready to sustain a long fight to send these Marxists packing. She is right. I'd strongly recommend perusal of her article.

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack: In my opinion Heather MacDonald is a longtime gutsy and outspoken advocate of the views which now dominate our Administration. She has of course endured the especially vicious excoriation of the far left , eg. being shouted down and threatened at public appearances. Her courage in this is of a kind with David Horowitz, the heroic progenitor of unapologetic modern conservative action.

I am so glad for people like those two who are seeing their sometimes lonely efforts endorsed and seconded by a dynamic President and a finally fully aroused electorate.

  7. Jack, it is a real shame that higher ed as a whole gets tarred with the leftist brush, when so many colleges and universities aren't partisan or ideological at all. I suppose that means that, when we're done purging the neo-Marxists, there will still be SOMETHING left to hang our mortarboards on. A comforting thought.

Heather MacDonald is right: the entrenched America-haters won't go quietly!!! By no means will this battle be over in four years. Forty is more like it.
