Friends, remember when Tucker Carlson was the most popular host on Fox News? I do. Seems like only yesterday, doesn't it? Well, things move quickly in today's frenetic media environment. Tucker is OUT! I hear Mitt Romney and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir might take his place. Seems fitting.
Tucker's fate is one of the main themes that Brian and I tackle on this week's Newsmaker Show, along with, of course, Joe Biden's announcement that he will seek reelection with Kamala Harris as his running mate. We also talk about Lincoln's assassination, the tense atmosphere of 1983 (the height of the Cold War?), the efficacy of strategic bombing, and Italy's perfidy in both world wars.
In other words, this week's show is the definition of "wide-ranging". Long may it last!

When you've drunk deep of my wisdom in audio form, check out this article at Sputnik News. I react to Tucker's firing and analyze the threats we conservatives face from those who would like to silence us.
Dr.Waddy from Jack: I see perhaps some ways to counter this leftist onslaught of "politics by litigation". We could try legislation like the "Protection of Lawful Commerce Act" which kept the 2nd Amendent destroyers from suing the gun manufacturers out of business; might be little hope now at the Federal level but perhaps in the common sense states. We could advance cases questioning the legality at the state or Federal level or even Constitutionality of blatant "politics by litigation". Is such practice criminal conspiracy? Can it be legislated as such? Can frivolous use of the courts be prosecuted?lf not we might as well just sue the living hell out of every leftist entity and gum them up just as they seek to do us, the bloody blighters!
ReplyDeleteDr.Waddy from Jack: One would think Kamalafornia a real albatross around Biden's neck. In 2020 her discreditable record as VP did not yet obtain.Gads, the real possibility of her being a heartbeat or a resignation away from the Presidency is appalling and is probably widely viewed as such.Assuming Biden was commanded in this choice by his far left "advisors"why is this risk being undertaken by them? Is it to avoid the harrowing wrath of radical feminists?
ReplyDeleteDr Waddy from Jack: I wonder if Churchill used Guernica to support his already expressed concern about German bombing capabilities? The RAF reached the strength to stave off the Luftwaffe just in time and in the event it was a very near run thing.Without Goering's drug addled misapprehension of just how close his force was to defeating the RAF it might have gone tragically for the Brits. Perhaps Guernica opened Brit eyes just in time to provide the miniscule margin of resistance needed to discourage that porcine thing! Perhaps the early demonstration of Nazi ruthless subhumanity eventually did them in. "Hitler knows that he must BREAK us in this island or lose the war." Just so!
ReplyDeleteDr.Waddy from Jack: Correction to above: "Protection of Lawful Commerce IN FIREARMS Act . . .
ReplyDeleteJack, those are some suggestions for combatting "lawfare" that are worth following up. Some swashbuckling litigants are stuck with their victims' legal bills, at the end of the day. Some atrocious lawyers are disbarred. As you suggest, when one is sued unjustly, a countersuit alleging conspiracy or an attempt to deny you your constitutional rights might be in order. And libel, surely, works both ways. Isn't Ms. Grossman libeling Tucker???
ReplyDeleteMy latest article speaks to why Sleepy Joe is keeping Kam-Kam around, so I'll address that issue there.
Hmm. Interesting perspective. I suppose Guernica might have lit a fire under the British (and the French) to develop a competent air force. As you say, the Germans probably were capable of winning air superiority over Britain in 1940, although whether that would have led to a successful invasion or to serious negotiations for peace we'll never know.
