Can DeSantis Pull It Off?

Friends, my latest article won't come as a startling revelation to you -- at least not if you read Thursday's post.  It's a reworked version of my reflections on Florida Governor Ron Desantis's efforts to prevent a complete leftist takeover of the state's public colleges and universities.  While there isn't much new content here, it is a chance for you to imbibe my words of wisdom for the second time in as many days...  You're welcome!

In other news, while the mainstream media focuses obsessively on gun control and January 6th, most Americans are battling much more immediate problems, namely a slowing economy and skyrocketing inflation.  Check out these data points.  Good luck, Dems, changing the subject.  You better be PR geniuses, because, if you're not, your electoral goose is assuredly cooked!

  1. ,Dr.Waddy from Jack: I think Gov. Desantis is a courageous pioneer in advancing views heretofore perhaps timidly withheld! In asserting that tax payers MUST have a forceful say in guaranteeing the ideological balance in classroom, on political discourse on STATE FINANCED campuses, is very creditable! Would that we had that in SUNY polluted far leftist NY!!

  2. Jack, undoubtedly his heart is in the right place. If he or someone like him were to keep the pressure up for several decades, I'm sure results could be obtained. Alas, that isn't very likely.

  3. Dr.Waddy from Jack: I remember from experience, the risk ( financially and temporaly)you ran by disagreeing with the Prof's ideological views! He/she might or might not consider your grade thereby! I would expect that syndrome to be very much intensified since my 70s grad experience. Your grad school or even professional acceptance could have been then and today may well have be so much so at hazard, for heresy!

  4. Dr.Waddy from Jack: $5, 7$ , for gas;. . who knows what limit the radical leftists who manipulate the Biden marionette intend in gas prices! They are in CONTROL! !!. We must expect from this PERHAPS only until January dominance a fully predictive demonstration of what they intend in the full power they seek! That is: imposition of absurd measures only they think workable! The.past proves: they can only confirm snd establish such measures through thoroughly murderous force!

  5. Dr.Waddy from Jack: Didn't Slick Willy, through his factotum Carville, preach: its the economy stupid

  6. Dr.Waddy from Jack: OK , let us go with that! Disingenuous inflation, propelled by gas prices obviously forced by Pino Biden's.surrender to far leftist American oil obstruction, is the the MAIN reason!

  7. True, Jack. Professors have a lot of leeway in grading. These days they could also refer a student for "hate speech" on almost any pretext. Students are afraid for good reason! Of course, they are in many cases afraid of each other.

"It's the economy, stupid." Well, not entirely, but it is the single biggest driver of public opinion. C'est la vie.
