Queen Elizabeth II: Her Bloodlust is Insatiable!

Friends, I'm sure we can all agree that statues are second only to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the list of the greatest threats to human freedom and well-being.  That's why I'm so glad that a statue of the Queen was recently beheaded in Canada -- where they know the meaning of "Sic Temper Tyrannis"!

In other news, while the media swoons over King Cuomo and his impressive collection of body bags, many red state governors are getting the job done, COVID-wise.  You'll never hear about them on CNN, needless to say, unless it's to insult their "hateful" rhetoric or their spouse's appearance or their cat's breath.  Ergo, you might want to read this article.

Don't be fooled by the polls indicating widespread public support for Biden's COVID "Relief" Bill.  Sure, people like free money.  It doesn't seem to have occurred to them that the borrowed funds need to be paid back.  Likewise, they haven't heard about all the waste and political payoffs in this bill, nor are they aware of the growing racialization of public finances.  Here in Rochester, NY, there's a new vaccination center open that I can't utilize, because I don't live in the right zip code.  Expect more racial and socioeconomic targeting of government programs and spending in the years to come.  The new line is that non-racialism is racist, after all...so if you don't like being discriminated against, why, you're racist too!

In other news, if you want to know what it's like to be a white staff member at a super-woke elite liberal arts college these days, check out this resignation letter.  It's a bit long-winded, but it's amazing the pressures that are brought to bear on people to conform in higher ed.  I'm very thankful that I don't work in a hothouse environment like the one that prevails at Smith College.

Behold, the thought police are cracking the whip even in the Valley of the Genesee, my old stomping grounds.  Failing to accept transgender orthodoxy means, apparently, that you're unfit for the teaching profession...

Our hero Ron DeSantis is giving the Left a knuckle sandwich at CPAC.  He's hitting all the right notes, wouldn't you say?

The deterioration of conditions at our border is unfolding faster than many of us predicted.  What's worse, from Biden's perspective, is that he'll soon be subjected to insistent demands from both wings of his party: moderates will want him to crack down, and progressives will want him to ease up and let everyone through.  The inflation/interest rates/fiscal crisis may be months or years off, but the border crisis is already here and it's guaranteed to get worse.  How long can the media ignore it?

Finally, poor Mitch has cracked open a newspaper, it appears (since I assume he can't work a computer), and read the latest polls.  As a result, he's ready to let bygones be bygones, as far as Jan. 6th goes, and he's prepared to support Trump in 2024, if he's the candidate of the GOP.  I guess that's progress.  The tortoise is retreating into its shell.

  1. Not to short change the college that you teach at in any way, but one of my top choices for a college to go to is Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia. The school motto is "For Christ and for Liberty." That should be enough to turn most, if not all, dedicated Leftists purple with rage, since they certainly hate Christ and Liberty. The President of the college is Jack Haye, and you might want to check out his message "Standing on the Rock".

It's refreshing to see a college where the students are not indoctrinated with the latest, and not so late, Left-wing bullshit. The college I got my undergraduate degree from out on "The Left Coast" used to be like this "back in the day" but is now totally "politically correct" in just about every way. It now has a "Bleed Club" to promote menstrual equity even for those who don't menstruate. When I attended that school if anyone suggested that you would have such a group they would probably have been called in for a suggested psychiatric evaluation. Anyway, it's nice to see a college like Patrick Henry where sanity still reigns.

  2. Dr. Nick

Speaking of what happened at Smith College, I was already familiar with that situation, and I am sure there are many more cases like it across the country.

With that said, and because of that incident, I really do feel the need to call your attention to Dr. Carol Miller Swain, a Black professor at Vanderbilt College who was forced to retire a few years ago because she spoke out loudly and boldly against things like Critical Race Theory, the BLM, and many other ongoing "politically correct" indoctrinations. She has her own blog now, and has written several books. Please check her out.

In my opinion, this is important because she is Black, and shows that not all Blacks are buying woke or cancel culture bullshit. A few years ago she told some Black students in relation to slavery reparations to "Get Over It."

Again, please check her out, and I think some of her articles are worth posting too. Thanks.

  3. Thanks, Ray. I wasn't familiar with Patrick Henry College. I applaud it, BUT my fear would be that such institutions may lose their accreditation in the years to come. Just as teachers can be fired, "rogue" institutions can be bullied, punished, and even obliterated by fiat.

I checked out Dr. Swain's website. Pretty slick! I see she's all over the news media. She's articulate, so that makes sense. On the other hand, I wouldn't imagine she'd be invited back at CNN or MSNBC. The last thing they want is to give airtime to those who encourage people of color to think for themselves...

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Official NY state continues its increasingly comprehensive capture of our state for the extreme left. The shameful encouragement of leftist tyranny in SUNY campuses, financially and unwillingly supported by all NY taxpayers, continues! It should be a key tactic of the 2022 GOP Gubernatorial candidate to emphasize this in his/her campaign. Its outrageous and completely predictive of Dem/Left intent for our already totalitarian polluted, Cuomo disgraced home.

  5. Oh my gosh! I know Owen!!! The student in question. Right on Owen! WOOHOO!! I can tell you, Owen can teach without projecting his personal feelings in a classroom. I am not all that surprised by my alma mater, sad to say...I am afraid, though, he will be subjected to some harsh treatment...so sad.

Wait, your for the beheading of the statue? What? Wait a minute, tell the aliens to send the real Dr. Waddy back, grin. Wait another minute, your a European Professor, heyyyyyyyyyy...what gives LOLOLOL. Just kidding with you (just chalk my cheekiness up to working and being up since 3:30 am, lol).

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Geneseo's Indoctrination (nee Education) Dep't should have its accreditation reconsidered for this shamefully unprofessional act! I'm going to call my legislators.

    1. Jack, I am seriously thinking of writing a letter to the school. I am deeply bothered/troubled by this. Considering their motto is, "To Learn, To Search, To Serve". Nowhere does it state to "cancel" ones viewpoint just because you want too or can. So sad...

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Perhaps the people who did the desecration of Her Majesty's likeness would prefer to have seen Canada as part of the North Ammerican SSR?

  8. Linda from Jack: It would be a good thing for "Genesco" (my family has lots of good Geneseo State connections, back in '65 they accepted me despite my abysmal high school record and it thrilled me! Plattsburgh accepted me later and I went there because I love the North Country. There are two Geneseo grads in my family.), any

  9. Linda from Jack: Sorry, this machina cut me off: . . . a goodthing for you to do that as an alumnus. My own experience as a New Paltz alumnus protesting their blatant leftist bias was that they patronized but took no appreciable heed. That's why when I have a concern about SUNY now I go to our legislators, who in our area are wt least with us. Cuomo and his Presidium are of course unapproachable.

  10. Yes, Jack: I would hope that the defense of free speech and freedom of conscience will be a very prominent part of ALL Republican campaigns in 2022.

Wow, Linda -- you've met the proscribed Owen? What are your impressions? Of course what SUNY Geneseo did to him was reprehensible, but I wonder if they're only applying a standard that would be commonplace in the public schools? Maybe any teacher who says "MAGA" on Facebook is fired? I dunno. If not, give it a year or two. I'm sure they're working up to it. I wonder, in addition, what poor Owen's future will be? Will he have to find a new major and career path? Would any school in America hire him? Would any school in NY allow him to complete his student teaching?

Jack is right that a college's accreditation should be dependent on its willingness to uphold free speech and democratic principles. The opposite is true: colleges are pressured by accrediting bodies to institute quotas, reimagine gender, "believe all women" -- I'm sorry "believe all 'women'" -- or else!

By all means, though, write angry letters and emails to SUNY Geneseo. That's the only thing that will keep these ivory tower leftists even slightly honest.

Of course, I don't REALLY advocate the decapitation of Queen Elizabeth II. In fact, I think she's a cool lady. I would have a beer with her...

  11. Dr. Waddy,

Owen is a true Patriot American. He loves God and country. What will become of him? I don' know. I highly doubt he will be allowed to finish Geneseo. The sad thing is, he is a good teacher and a good decent human being. This cancel culture has to stop. I have to say though, I am not surprised. I often had to keep my big mouth shut; the stuff they are teaching use to just get under my skin. Not all professors but some taught alternative history. I honestly believe Geneseo has gotten a bit out of touch of reality and full of themselves. Yes, they are a public school, but one of the elite schools in the state of New York. But if your going to just cater to the other side and not allow both/all sides, then I think that brings in trouble. It was just a matter of time before someone challenged the status quo.

The Queen; I knew your were joking and was I also joking around. I think she would be a good sport in having a beer or two. smiles

  12. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I think Owen should go to law. One would think he could make a very good case for this decision having unjustly and perhaps unconstitutionally done him a very substantial tort.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hmm. QE2 a "good sport"? Ha ha. I dunno. She seems to stand on ceremony. A tad stuffy?

I feel terrible for Owen. How sad that a patriotic conservative "need not apply" to teach in our public schools. I've said it before -- many a livelihood will be ruined before the lefties are done. And they love every minute of it!

Could Owen sue? You can always sue, but SUNY Geneseo can hide behind vague terms of service and morals clauses, like any big company or institution would. And they may be "in the right", in the sense that most public schools would view right-leaning social media posts as disqualifying!

    ReplyDelete
  14. But heck -- sue 'em anyway! Worth a shot.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Dr. Waddy et al from Jack: But are there not private colleges, perhaps Christian or Catholic, which would afford Owen completion, on time, of his credentials, so that he may seek employment as per his personal, fouryear, schedule?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Could be, Jack! I sure hope so. There may even be schools, private and/or religious, that would hire him... Speaking of which, I would expect an offensive by accrediting bodies soon against such rogue institutions, backed of course by governmental authorities. Controlling 90% of American education won't be enough for these totalitarians...but then I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know!
