What To Do With Liz Cheney

Friends, this week's Newsmaker Show is a must-listen for all true patriots.  In terms of current events, Brian and I discuss the flurry of Executive Orders from "President" Biden, the difficulties the Dems are already having in the House and Senate passing their agenda, the GameStop controversy, the dust-up over the fate of Liz Cheney (who voted to impeach President Trump and thus burned her bridges with her only allies on the right), and the "anti-hate" agenda (that means anti-conservative) of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

When we turn the page to "This Day in History", Brian and I talk about the Soviet lunar landing in 1966 and Soviet successes in the early stages of the Space Race, the "dual-use" functions of much of the technology used in space exploration, the future of "arms races", President Clinton's 1994 decision to resume trade with Vietnam, and the arrest of Klaus Fuchs in 1950 for espionage, which led to a wide-ranging search for Soviet spies in the U.S. nuclear program.

Don't miss it!

  1. And don't forget Julius and Ethel Rosenberg who were convicted of spying for the Soviet Union, and executed (by electrocution as I recall), at Sing Sing in 1953. Their last words should have been "Shoot The Juice To Me Bruce".

  2. Had the materials from the Venona files been available to the defense in the trial of the Rosenbergs, Ethel likely would not have been executed. Not a great day for the U.S. in that regard.

It is telling about the current Trump Party that Marjorie Taylor Greene gets an ovation from the party faithful yesterday, while Liz Cheney has to endure a vote to keep her leadership position for defending the Constitution against an insurrection. Pretty sad.

Fortunately, this is not your father's Democratic Party, and they are going to boot Greene's butt from committee assignments today.

  3. Regrettably, this is not my Dad's Democrat (not Democratic by the way) Party either. In fact, it should not even be called the Democrat Party, when in fact it is Socialist (Marxist) in orientation, and more so with every passing day. This began in the 1990s with the arrival of the Clinton's and then gathered steam with Obama. Old style Democrats were basically traditional Liberals and certainly anti-Communist. If the current Democrats were honest they would change the name of the party to what it is, Socialist. Quit being hypocrites! And don't forget that Eugene V. Debs ran five times on a Socialist ticket, so be honest and change the name of Democrats to Socialists. You people sure as hell are not the party of FDR, or Truman, or even LBJ, so quit being liars and identify your party for what it really is.

    1. Ray, personally neither party should be called Democrat or Republican. Shameful behavior on both sides. I agree, quit being liars and identify your party for what it really is. grin.

  4. At this point my question would be: What do the American People (including all those damn fools who voted for the current regime, and against their own best survival interests), going to get out of a bunch of well heeled Members of Congress stabbing each other in the back, and running around deciding what arrogant power addict is going to keep a fucking so called leadership position, or what asshole is going to be on what fucking committee assignment. What's in this for The American People? I'll bet every damn Member of Congress is warm and comfortable, and secure in every way, complete with nice bank accounts, and health care, and all the perks they have as Members of Congress. Even more so, those in the Executive and Judicial Branches, while millions and millions of Americans have to "suck the bag" while these DemoPublican elitists have a pissing contest.

  5. Rod, Greene has said some outrageous things, I agree, but if endorsing conspiracy theories and/or fantasizing about the execution of leading political figures is disqualifying for Congressional candidates, then half your caucus will need to pack it in. Just sayin'.

Also, note that the GOP kept Liz Cheney in her leadership role. How long would a Trump supporter last in YOUR party?

Ray, you forgot to mention that the Democratic Party opposes DEMOCRACY. A functioning democracy requires a free and adversarial press corps, open debate in all major platforms, and reliable, secure methods of vote tabulation that EXCLUDE those who are ineligible. Do we have these things in America? Do the Dems want them? Of course not.

True, Ray -- while Congress debates who to impeach, convict, expel, censure, investigate, etc., the American people have some pressing needs that being ignored.

  6. On the other hand, as I've said before, the more time wasted on impeachments and ethic investigations, the less time available for (malicious) legislating!

  7. Dr. Waddy, did you really just say 'Just sayin''? LOLOL--Oh my goodness, you are spending way to much time in the south, my friend. smiles

  8. Dr. And all else: Linda:In the Navy I learned how Southerners can encapsulate truth in short statements! I admire it! My general view of M. Greene: Until the left completely rejects the hate infused Squad, they have no moral authority orcredibility. This is fully to be expected, since they see themselves in the full bloom of ecstatic Cuomoesque dictTorship!

  9. Dr.From Jack: How do we win back youth? They are for the most part, encouraged in their contemporary upbringing , to value their individuality. Perhaps exposure to primal leftist collectivism with absolute intolerance of dissent would disabuse them of their dreams, their "convictions" Is this at hand in the present federal administration? Maybe. It could take some scalding experiences of leftist totalitarianism to"learn em", after all, they've been to college, to town!

  10. Dr.From Jack: In my view: Slick Silly is ever motivated by his dominant desire to get high, from familiar chemical or biological sources, from adulation, from deceptively achieved electoral success? Whatevah! In extending trade relations with Vietnam he sought first the sensual thrill of bollixing those who took him to task for his wartime support of plastic bag smotherers of those who opposed totalitarian subhumans invading from the North!

  11. Oops,I misspoke . Slick Silly did not side with the plastic bag guys per se.He was far too sensual and silly for that! But he had no convictions about engaging them! Ala Nixon? But Hi!lary took great pleasure in tasking Nixon yes? And they were a viscerally devoted couple as we all know.

  12. Linda, you can never spend too much time in Dixie. Okay, maybe Georgia. Avoid Georgia!

Jack, I've read some of the Greene comments that so infuriate the Dems, and as usual they exaggerate to an extent. A lot of the QAnon stuff is nonsense, of course, but no more nonsensical than the idea that Vladimir Putin is Donald Trump's puppet master. The comments about executing Nancy Pelosi may or may not be talking about judicial killings. That is, some may believe she's guilty of treason and merits the death penalty. Have any Dems had similar fantasies about Trump? I think the more apt question would be: have any Dems NOT had similar fantasies about Trump! I'm glad Greene disavowed some of her past statements. I personally oppose removing ANY Congressman (or woman) from committees. Last time I checked we let the voters choose their representatives in Congress, no?

Jack, you'd think that the youth, entrapped as they are in our neo-Marxist education system, would have ample experience with condescension and thought control. That should be more than enough to convince them to despise the Left...but somehow it doesn't work that way. Youngsters used to be "rebels". No more!

  13. Dr.From Jack: I had the displeasure today of hearing Joe Kerensky lamenting "A lot of Americans are 'hurtin'". Yeah, yeah they are since you wiped out their jobs with your terrible swift pen! But then, they were enablers of universally despised fossil fuels and evil orderly borders. I suppose after November (it wasn't October after all),when the Bolsheviks set you aside, we will look with longing on your nonetheless dictatorial executive spree!
