Blast His Carcass Into Space?

Friends, the title of this post might have alarmed you.  Well, it should!  The pettiness of Trump hatred knows no bounds, apparently, because now some Dems are proposing -- with a straight face -- that "twice impeached" presidents be banned from being interred at Arlington National Cemetery, along with a long list of other potential honors.  Keep in mind that impeachment is tantamount to indictment.  Donald Trump has merely been accused of crimes.  He's never been convicted.  Not even of jaywalking or speeding.  Nonetheless, the Dems feel his horrific crimes against leftism justify shunning him not only in life, but also in death.  But hey, at least the lefties are consistent: they don't much care for George Washington and Abraham Lincoln either.  They haven't dug up their bodies to be spat upon yet, but give it time.  They'll get around to it.

Keep a close eye on this story.  The Dems are getting excited about the possibility of slavery reparations.  I mean, why not?  Trillions for "COVID Relief", for infrastructure, for health care, for green energy.  We might as well throw a few more at black America, right?  The moral and practical problems with slavery reparations are too numerous to mention here, but politically this issue could play out in a very interesting way.  Black Democrats will be expecting a big cash payout, and frankly they're unlikely to get it.  This looks to me like a classic no-win issue for Democrats.  Note that the relevant bill has many sponsors, but quite a few Congressional Dems are steering clear of it.  Any controversy that splits the Democrats is a win for the good guys.

Trump skeptics in the Republican Party, like Mitch McConnell and Nikki Haley, must be sweating bullets, because they thought they had DJT on the run, and now he's set to come roaring back.  Can Nikki and Donald kiss and make up?  We'll see.

This is a great article.  It makes the point that our public discourse is dominated by entrenched narratives.  How do they get entrenched?  Well, it's the mainstream media that does the digging, so to speak -- and then we conservatives are stuck trying to climb out of the hole.  The flowering of alternative media sources is part of the answer, but we conservatives and patriots need to be bolder in rejecting MSM narratives at the moment of their formation.  All this nonsense about an "insurrection", for instance, should have been laughable at the start.  By piously shaking our heads and lamenting the "uprising", we were arguably doing the Left's work for it.  Call a riot what it is: a riot.  Our democracy was never in any danger, except from those who would manipulate its laws and deny democratic rights, including free speech, to those who disagree with them.  I think you see where I'm going with this...

Keep a close eye on the border and on developments in immigration policy.  The Biden administration has a tough balancing act to perform.  It wants to implement a kinder, gentler policy with respect to "asylum seekers", but it doesn't want to foster a human stampede at the border, which could easily happen if the poor people of planet Earth decide that America is "open for business".  Immigration too is an issue that could split the Democratic Party wide open.

Lastly, while things here on Earth seem to be pretty crappy, it's all sunshine and lollipops on Mars.  Congrats to NASA on landing its Perseverance rover on the Red Planet.  It's going to be a long time before you can buy a ski chalet on the Martian slopes, but every year we get just a little bit closer...

  1. I never could stand Donal Trump, Jr. I used to see and hear him when he made appearances on Fox News, and all this egotistical kid did was yap and yap, and tell us how great he was. Presidents need to keep their families out of politics, at least while they are in office.

On that note, those of us on the right of the political spectrum (whatever the hell that means these dull days) need to start getting over Trump. I know there is someone out there that can carry on the policies Trump initiated while he was president. Whoever that is, might not even be in sight yet, but he/she is out there. Trump addiction can be just as addictive as Trump hating.

Better yet, we need a president who is "party free" and does things for the country that are beneficial for all Americans. Yes, I know, that would be Trump, right? Wrong! But then, the question is always What Is Beneficial for The Country and All Americans?

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Let's see: Ramses II has been displayed for all to see; Brit soldiers used the head of the Mahdi of Khartoum in polo matches; Cromwell was exhumed, hanged and thrown in the Thames; the American left will have be creative in its desecration of the remains of the founding fathers (among whom I count Lincoln)! Then again, their colleagues, the Khmer Rouge, ISIS and the Taliban afford them recent examples of totalitarian cancel culture.

  3. Dr.Waddy from Jack: I think we need always keep in mind the fundamental purpose of the American left in enabling unlimited immigration: the provision of a perhaps decisive bloc of voters unused to U.S. politics and convinced that they were admitted to this humane and prosperous land only through the good offices of the Dem/Left. They will be expected to support the intended totalitarian takeover with their votes, after which they will no longer be of use. Not exactly a new story and pore 'ol befuddled Joe Kerensky is all for it, yessir!

  4. The article by Jesse Kelly is right on the mark. Lots of articles on right-wing blogs all over the place, plus a few more that are floating around out there somewhere in cyberspace. The main message is always that right thinking Americans must wake up and realize that The Left is out to take them over. Problem is, the Left has been taking over for decades now, and very successfully, and now they have control of the government, at least for the time being. When I say "successfully" I am talking about the almost complete control of the media (film included) and the academic world, and just about any aspect of U.S. culture you can think of.

Think of the right as holding up at Fort Apache. My point is: The Right has no real control over the "organs of control", and unless they gain control over those "organs" they will be continually surrounded by all those hostile tribes at Fort Apache.

Sure, get some more seats in Congress, and blah blah blah, but the real control is mostly elsewhere, again in the media, and most dangerously in the education system. So think of it, as The Right is "safe" in a castle. but there are always crocodiles and alligators in the moat.

In summary, getting control of the government again through elections and so on is great, but there is simply no real control unless The Right gains control of the media and the education system. That's where the problem is, and The Left started taking control of those organs 100 years ago.

  5. Dr.Waddy from Jack: There is a President the eventual burial of, were it to be in that sacred ground, would desecrate it beyond all measure- Slick Willy of course. He ought to be banned from the grounds even now! In a similarly infamous vein; I do pray your indulgence for my presumptuous introduction of a new subject but I must needs hold forth:

  6. Dr.Waddy from Jack: I sufferer through My Lord Cuomo's lugubrious version of a meaculpa at his daily princely audience on Friday. It takes crust to talk down to an entire state and beyond but he pulled it off, he did ! It was vintage Cuomo but carried to a level of presumptuous contempt for his subjects rarely equaled even by him. It was pedantic, histrionic and suffused with aristocratic impatience at having to justify decisions derived from his unassailable wisdom in all temporal matters.

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Milord Andrew deigned to admit fault in that he had pursued the "liars" who have cast doubt upon his rule with less than adequate zeal. Doubly condemned are they, he holds because in addition to their malicious dishonesty, they are savagely cruel in manipulating the grief felt by those who have lost loved ones in nursing homes under, well, questionable circumstances. Therefore, he decrees, he will pursue them with the wrath of the harpies, "I grant my people this my princely largess and I promise wholesale reform of the nursing homes which, to gain my favor, made far too faithful honor to my, ehh,
suggestions on the admission of Covid patients".

  8. Ray, I don't watch the news, so I'm not familiar with Don, Jr.'s merits and demerits as a talking head, but I do know that he gives a pretty good speech in person, for what that's worth. If DJT tries to anoint Don, Jr. as his successor, we'll have to take that "high" recommendation seriously, but I agree with you that it would be best for the country and the movement to move on from Trump and his brood. Having said that, if the choices are: re-nominate Trump, or tear the conservative movement and the GOP in twain, I opt for Trump.

Jack, good point that there's a rich history of the desecration of illustrious corpses for the Left to draw inspiration from... We shouldn't give them ideas. The presence of the un-enlightened in our more upscale cemeteries probably does irk them. Or, if not, it soon will. No stone left unturned.

True, the Left expects to rule unchallenged thanks to the slavish support of immigrants, and the children and grandchildren of immigrants. That's why our outreach to Hispanics and Asians is so important, and that's why the Dems should be petrified by the idea that we may expand on the gains that Trump made in 2020. On paper, there are lots of reasons why these groups ought to lean right. Let's make sure that they do from now on.

Ray is so right: elections are a sideshow, and it's control of the culture that conveys control of the future. We've lost the education system, Hollywood, the media, etc., which is bad enough, but now our last toehold in corporate America seems to be slipping away too. You can't concede defeat on so many fronts and expect to keep getting second chances in the political kingdom. We better figure out a way to claw back some influence in these cultural and economic venues soon, or it's curtains for us.

Jack, I can't say I care where they put Slick Willy in the ground. Death is the great leveler, right? At least once he's dead he won't have to listen to him anymore or watch that insipid quivering upper lip of his. I say bury people wherever they please, but above all LEAVE THEM PUT once they're in the ground, and if someone sees fit to build a statue or a memorial to them, leave that be too. There's a time to let bygones be bygones, surely.

Jack, it seems as though Cuomo's imperiousness is wearing thin even among his fellow Democrats. I always expected that, to be honest. His brief COVID celebrity felt like an aberration, in that most of the press corps has always disliked him, and for all the obvious reasons. Maybe there's a wider lesson here: success only heightens the lefties' arrogance, and their arrogance leads them, invariably, to overplay their hands and make unforced errors. The best case scenario remains that Cuomo is so weakened that a strong GOP candidate can unseat him in 2022. I hope so!

  9. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Cuomo's political exit in disgrace appears close at hand. Fox is giving it max coverage and that gives the Cuomo despised real America in NY a voice at last!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Your best case is well taken: it might be best for a thoroughly discredited Cuomo to carry on awhile. Good goin Dems, your last two elected Governors have been real doozies!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Jack, Cuomo is feeling the heat now, but he's a patient, cold-blooded fellow. I would guess he'll stick it out, and his enemies will find it tough to marshal the votes to remove him. Who knows, though. If the Dems decide he's a liability, they might line up accordingly. The other possibility, of course, is that he limps along in office, but the Dems nominate someone else for 2022...

    ReplyDelete
  12. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Inquisitor General Letitia James is of course the Dem heir apparent in NY. Her revelation of Cuomo's misconduct was done , if not motivated, with or by her political gain in mind. Its hard to imagine the Dems renominating him. Tom Reed would have a fighting chance against him and maybe against James.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Interesting theory, Jack. We do have a history of turmoil at the top... Letitia James could easily see herself as our next Governor. Why not? If she gets Trump in her crosshairs, her stock would rise even higher!

  14. This article brings some of my own thoughts.
When the election was over I thought; "why bother voting if your vote doesn't matter?" I am 61 years old & in my entire lifetime I never dreamed it even remotely possible that I would fear my own government, until now. Your proposal isn't that far fetched when you consider that we now face tyranny.

  15. Dr.Waddy and Texcatz4: Ditto, ditto! The still resolved far left government of New York has conirmed its prejudice anew by
assigning secondary priority to the politically incorrect rural areas of thestate in the distribution of the vaccine. Leftist totalitarian dictatorship advances apace in our state, for all to see. Take heed, still free America! Take heed!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Texcatz4, welcome! Believe me, I share your concerns about election integrity. If the Dems are going to cheat, and the media and the courts and even the GOP will let them get away with it, then why bother, right? All hope is lost. What I keep telling myself is that it's not that simple. Elections aren't a binary matter of "tainted" or "not tainted". They WILL cheat, for sure, but that doesn't mean they will win. They very nearly lost this time, on every level, despite their cheating. We have to win in 2022 and 2024, and by a big enough margin that cheating won't save their bacon. That's our only hope, as I see it.

Jack, yes, the politicization and racialization of vaccine distribution is pretty repugnant. There's a distribution center very near me that I can't make use of, because my residency isn't in the right zip code. Wanna guess how those zip codes were chosen?

  17. When I say "why bother" I mean my immediate reaction to our election. Dr Waddy is right. We MUST redouble (or triple) our efforts on voter turnout. We lost 2 senate seats in Georgia because Republican turnout was anemic. They felt defeated after what they witnessed across the country so they skipped voting. In order to overcome the cheating we know WILL happen we MUST turnout a "YUGE" conservative vote. This country began with people facing overwhelming odds. They refused to be subjected to tyranny. We MUST do the same!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hear hear, Tami! And welcome. :) I agree re: turnout. The problem is that our message is a little contradictory: we can't say, "Our elections are completely fraudulent and phony...but please turn up anyway. I mean, what's the harm?" It's hard to generate turnout when there's such deep suspicion about the authenticity of the process and the results. I actually think our turnout in Georgia was pretty good, under the circumstances, but the Dems' was better. In 2022, I think we can get a lot of conservatives to the polls. The key question is: will Dem enthusiasm still be in overdrive? Frankly, I doubt it. Two years of Biden has GOT to be an anti-climax, right?
