The Empire Strikes Backward

Friends, today we got some surprising news for New York State Republicans like Yours Truly.  We were anticipating a battle royal between our sitting Governor Kathy Hochul and GOP Congresswoman Elise Stefanik.  Now it seems Stefanik won't run for Governor, and she won't even run for reelection to the House!  Instead, she plans to "spend more time with her family", which is the sort of thing one says when concealing an ulterior motive, but perhaps in this case it happens to be the truth?  The psychic costs of serving as a public official are shockingly high, so maybe the pressure simply got to Stefanik in the end...  Here's hoping the NYS Republican Party can find a new champion to lead the charge against Hochul, because our state sure could use new leadership.

In other news, DJT has waved his magic wand and lowered the price of prescription drugs!  Good for him.  He's also bringing more pharmaceutical manfacturing back to the USA.  Sounds like a win-win to me!

We now know who the shooter at Brown University was, and it turns out he was an immigrant admitted under the "diversity visa" program, whereby we pick new Americans by lottery.  Sounds like a terrific idea, right?  Why waste any brain cells on the topic of immigration when we can let the wheel of fate decide for us?  Well, if you can't detect my sarcasm, you're just not trying very hard.  This program was always a terrible idea, and hopefully this tragic incident is the wake-up call we needed in order to end it once and for all.

Lastly, the DOJ has begun peppering us with "Epstein files", as per the law that was passed by Congress weeks ago, and I'm sure this avalanche of documentation will put the matter to rest...NOT!  The Dems will keep beating this drum for as long as their core supporters continue to lap up Epstein conspiracy theories, which in my estimation is several more years, at least!

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: That's unfortunate news; had she won Stefanik would have become a prospect for national office. She's young; perhaps she sees NY as a hopeless setting for a conservative stalwart and . . . ? What now and who now? Even our redoubtable President had to get out of this far left dictatorship, which may well become even worse with Soviet NYC as an even more degrading burden.

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: My my, how very much evidence this sordid man generated in his misspent life! Then again, maybe some of this monumental documentation was not generated by Epstein or his detestable pastimes. We can be confident that DOJ is run by persons not seeking to discredit President Trump and Maga "by any means necessary" as the far left/dem Russiagate prevaricators did. But at the mid levels of the DOJ, people of ill intent may yet be at work. And Obama and Hillary may still be vindictively intent on ruining their Nemesis and exercising their amoral and sour influence to do so.

Every possible detail of Epstein infamy will come to light; lets hope it finally guarantees that there will never be an airport named after Slick Willy. Let the far left/dems thrash in the ultimately futile antipathy they have demonstrated since their darling lost in 2016! I think America knows them now for the agonizingly frustrated but still dangerous incipiently totalitarian low lifes they are and will turn a disdainful back on their characteristically vicious Epstein campaign.

Can the radicals work this carnival to their advantage in 2026? Not if they futz around like they have been and esconse themselves ever further in effluent of their own flatulent making! Oh of course they will try; they are what they are after all.

  3. I don't blame Stefanik for passing on the Governor's race. I never liked her chances. But retiring from the House? That sounds a lot like surrender to me.

It's an open question how much purchase the Left will gain against DJT in its Epstein crusade. None of the current attacks against Trump are all that compelling in themselves, if you ask me, but they don't have to be if they are repeated often enough and with enough venom. Look at Russiagate. It was all pure fantasy, but it took a genuine toll. I don't discount the possibility that the same could happen here. And how can Trump prevent it? Why, by proving a negative, of course! Not so easy, that.

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Strikes me that Biden's enabled invasion by illegal immigrants amounted to a massive "diversity program" Since we are ending this why not also end a redundant superfluity which has a comparable purpose?
I'd say we have plenty of defacto evolved"diversity" already except in the halls of the American academy.

Wow, have we ever had a master wheeler dealer President like DJT before!? I think it opens the door for more successful and good willed business leaders to go for the White House.

  5. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Re my above: I mean , try being a Christian in NIgeria ! And we need to be imperiously corrected by our know it all far left/Dems on "diversity"?!

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Russiagate - Yes it cost our country dearly in the possibility that it enabled Biden and his foggy enabled invasion of illegals to win in 2020. That gross far left/Dem overreach may well have redounded though to the return of a far more grimly determined and tempered DJT to the power he has exercised so well over the last year! Then it may be said in the end to have to have done them no gain and additional repulse in the astonishing advances and benefits afforded us by this Administration and what it promises in the next 3 years.

  7. Dr,Waddy from Jack; Let we of conservative persuasion be resolved that our continued assault upon the far left/Dems is of absolute importance and deserving of unrelenting national support and devotion! But we must not fault those who share our views but are very much involved in the positive and constructive lives the majority of Americans pursue with the full assurance that their efforts endorse their views. Yes , they most certainly do so!
