Now You See Her, Now You Don't

Friends, my latest article is about Liz Cheney, or rather all the Cheney-ites who claim to be Republicans and conservatives and yet believe that deriding Donald Trump is more important than defeating the Left.  We call these people RINOs, and for good reason.  My article speculates that, although a Trump presidential candidacy in 2024 carries with it many potential risks, one huge upside would be the hasty exodus of virtually all RINOs from the Trumplican Party.  And sometimes a party, or a group, unencumbered of its "baggage", is better off, no?  Food for thought.

In other news, here's an interesting article that makes an analogy between the use of frontal lobotomies to treat mental illness and the use of "gender affirming care" to treat transgenderism.  Personally, I think the comparison is unfair -- to lobotomists.  Lobotomies were designed to improve people's mental health.  Transgender surgeries are designed to cater to, legitimize, ratify, and "celebrate" mental illness.  There's a big difference there!

In other news, the first round of Brazil's presidential election is now in the books, and incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro, of the infamous "far right", has greatly outperformed, compared to what polls were predicting.  Almost certainly there will be a runoff election at the end of October.  Bolsonaro could still lose, but, if he does, his hand has been strengthened, and he may well contest the results.  Of course, with this warning shot fired across its bow, the Brazilian "deep state" may swing into high gear to ensure that Bolsonaro is defeated.  Certainly October is bound to be a tense month in Latin America's number one powerhouse!

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: " Gender affirming care eh" The cited article asserted that "the end result of this promotion (would be) damaging tens of thousands. .. ". I think a far great danger looms. Such procedures give the far left powerful tools for social engineering and I fully expect them to propose them as means of enforcing "equity" ( which of course, being subjective, is anything the left says it is). Eg: " far too many males are being born; therefore the state directs you to begin transforming your male infant to female".Counterintuitive? Yes! Inhuman? Yes! Just the ticket for the far left? You bet! Needless to say such measures would be mandated. Why virtually any social" inequity" could be remedied, given the political will and the far left certainly does have its ways of mobilizing public will! Even the insane "transformations" already established by the left (in criminal law, in gun possession, in freedom of speech etc) bespeak truly bizarre possibilities Ihave no doubt this is on their list!

  2. Anything is possible, Jack! More likely than mandatory "gender affirming care" for males would be a strong cultural movement to convince men to stop being men, and boys to stop being boys. Some would say that's already a done deal.

  3. Dr.Waddy from Jack: "For do we must what force will have us do". I think that should the left acquire the power to do so, it will command all manner of "fundamental transformation ". I fully expect we would be classified in rank of political correctness and those found wanting would be forced to wear insignia thereof and to endure straitened civil and political rights and general pariahhood.

  5. Jack, it would not surprise me if, at some point, I am stripped of most of my civic and civil rights. I just hope I'm not stripped!
