Be Like Florida, Dummy!

Friends, I highly recommend this article to you.  It's a comparison of the relative success of New York and Florida, and Gov. Cuomo and Gov. DeSantis, in meeting the challenge of the coronavirus.  Oddly enough, the state with the worst record in terms of mortality is held up by the media as the gold standard!  It defies belief.

  1. Regrettably, my computer system has denied me access to this article. Anyway, I bet New York is held up as the gold standard, right? Of course, your Governor, Comrade Commissar Cuomo is one of the golden buys of the leftist cartel. Therefore it is absolutely believable. If the heavens opened up and a host of angels proclaimed Florida as the winner, the leftist trash media would still stick with Cuomo.

  2. No matter what, the worst virus is yet to come! The Marxist Mob (how do you like that label?) who control the DemoSocialist Party now, with Comrade Commissar Biden as their puppet candidate, have only six more months to prevent Trump from being reelected. They are desperate, no doubt about it. Get ready for a major political S***Storm before November 2020. This election will decide whether we will continue as a Constitutional Republic for a few more years, or have more Socialist pig slop forced upon us. Do not think that rigging the elections with foreign assistance is beyond them. Let's see now, could that foreign power be somewhere West of The Date Line? Seriously folks, the worst is yet to come!

  3. In the wake of the virus, and with November 2020 not all that far away, I was looking at a list of Comrade Commissar Biden's possible picks for his VP. Just for the record, my choice would be Aunt Jemima. I just wanted you guys to know that.

  4. Planning ahead, and just in case the Demoviks win in November 2020, where would be the best places for our American Gulag System? I'm certainly looking at The Dakotas as a really good choice. Also, when the right wingers are rounded up and sent there, the government could start a system (just like the Soviets and Nazis did) where common criminals are placed over political prisoners as supervisors. Sorry to be so grim, but we have to plan for ahead, just in case. Cheers!

  5. What's wrong with me! The answer for our reeducation centers for counter-revolutionaries, should the Demoviks win on November 2020, would be Florida. That's right, no pun intended. Comrade Biden has promised to restart Obama era relations with Cuba. There you go. So why not simply let Florida become part of Cuba? Give Florida to Cuba. This means lots of political prisoners cutting sugar cane. Listen, this is better than freezing to death in the Dakotas, is it not?

  6. Yes, my comments on Dr. Waddy's original article led to the subject of the Presidential elections in November, so in that regard, they were "off track" and "not off track" simultaneously, if that makes sense? No? Yes? Maybe?

No matter what, think of the next six months as a duel to the death for the soul of our Constitutional Republic. Think of it as a duel between a Mongoose (the right) and a deadly reptile, say a Cobra (the left). Keep in mind that the Mongoose does not always win. Our country is in serious trouble!

  7. Finally (and I have probably made too many comments already), isn't there always the possibility (however remote, Ha! Ha!), that some people in our country cooked this virus business up with some people in another country for political and related reasons? Scary isn't it? However, it would certainly not be the first time in history that something along those lines has not happened. Yes Virginia, conspiracy happens.

    1. Ray, you could never have enough comments. I happen to agree with your thoughts on this topic. Indeed, conspiracy happens.

  8. Well...if it wasn't for the fact that Florida is so hot and humid, we would entertain moving back--no thanks...as for Cuomo, I'd like to send him a personal message, "OPEN UP THE FRIGGING BLASTED BEAUTY SALONS!" I'm going to be a long gray haired hippie girl sooner than later. No that he truly cares for us non essential folks, mind you. He said so himself.

Thanks Ray for your delightful comments. Apologies for not being around much, I'm typing up my final research paper.

  9. Linda,

Thank you. And I still say that there is a hell of a lot more to this virus chaos than we will probably ever know, regrettably.

My other concern of course, is that somehow, the "Democrats" (in name only) will try to rig the upcoming elections in November 2020. They are going to do everything they possibly can (illegally if necessary) to sabotage Trump's reelection chances.

    1. Indeed, Ray. I also think the Republicans will do their own sabotaging as well...watching Lou Dobbs right now. I never thought I would live to see the day concerning so much hate for one person. Which gives me hope that the President is doing the right thing. wink

  10. Ray, your mind does wander...but it usually wanders somewhere pretty darn insightful!

You're right -- we've only seen the first wave of Democratic/leftist attacks on President Trump. It always puzzled me why the Trump haters had accused him of everything EXCEPT murder. Well, they've now checked that off their list. Trump is personally responsible for every COVID-19 death, we're told. These people are nothing if not creative! I shudder to think what they will be throwing at the President in October, say... Yikes!

Linda, Florida has a lot to recommend it, and I personally don't mind the humidity. I'd rather be hot than cold. Having said that, demographically Florida is standing on a knife's edge. Remember, it came within a whisker of electing Gillum!

  11. Dr. Waddy Linda and Ray: I very much dislike Southern heat and humidity but I do not in any way discount its acceptability to Southerners for which it is a way of life. And their cultural disdain for Yankee presumptuousness: I embrace it!

The incipient confrontation between the real America (based in the South and the Mountain West) is yet to be fully joined; but it may be this year in November.! Those who cherish our country as it is: be AWARE!

  12. Dr. Waddy: Thanx for posting a "50's image of Florida, aimed at Northerners. Cha, cha, cha! But Florida in the summertime? Wheewww! I lived in an affluent Northern suburb and lots of my friends went to Florida in the spring at least.

I think Florida is a fascinating blend of cultures. North Florida, the Pan Handle ? Dixie! But "Moyammie" and its environs? New Yawk in exile and of course, justifiably antileftist Cubans. But the present political soundness of Florida suggests that the South and the New York expatriates see eye to eye. The New Yorkers may well be refugees from New Yawk insanity. All of this may well explain disdainful Cuomo's reflexive antipathy to Florida and its unforgiveably elected officials. I hope it motivates the real America's revulsion for Cuomo should he run!

  13. Jack, it's true: the cultural gulf between the South and the Northeast can seem vast at times. Or maybe we should say between the coasts and the interior? The decisive battleground of American politics and culture may well be the Midwest: if the Whitmers of this world can have their way with Michiganders and their ilk, we're in deep trouble.

I agree: Florida is a fascinating and complicated state (not unlike our own). I read the Tim Dorsey "Serge Storms" novels, which are funny and more than a little unhinged, but also contain neat nuggets of Florida history and culture. I worry, though, that the Left could capture Florida like it did California, which would be a tragedy on an immense scale.

  14. Dr.Waddy: I shall pay attention to your observations. Florida IS a consummate battleground, between the left and the right!
