About Time!

Friends, for whatever reason DJT seems to have decided that he's unwilling to bomb Iran ever again...but Israel has no such scruples.  The IDF has retaliated against Iran directly and forcefully today, and I applaud their decision to do so.  I've been reading that Iran's economy is already suffering mightily from our blockade (plus sanctions).  Iran's leadership also needs to understand just how militarily vulnerable they are.  And sometimes, as we all know, only a kinetic reminder does the trick.  Fear not, friends -- we will prevail over the mullahs.  Time is on our side!

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I think Israel is a noble nation blessed with a resolute leader. They ably defend their high civilization against a world largely indifferent to their ordeal or even wishing, even purposing their very annihilation. They are so often judged by a terribly enduring ancient evil which shames the world with its yet widely countenanced , incalculable malevolence.

After more than two millennia of conquest, diaspora and the most direct attempt by any power to eradicate an entire ethnic group, the Holocaust, they remain faithful to their religion and their homeland and unconquerably constant now in their resolve to defend themselves with all necessary force. Someday the slavering jackals who surround them will have to accede to the reality that Israel will never give up. This latest reaction by Israel against their unapologetically medieval Iranian would be executioners is fully characteristic of the unshakeable determination of Israel to LIVE and someday enjoy a well deserved peace.

Strongly suggest you get on Devin Sper's official website and read his latest article. Read his biog. first, and then his most current comment on events in the Middle East. He knows what he is talking about.

Another suggestion, is: rid the theater of your mind from the myth that peace is obtainable in the Middle East! Never going to happen, not ever. The area will remain a war zone until the end of time, and the world as we know it.

Rethink the idea that any Islamic nation is a real friend or ally of the U.S. at any time. Deep down, Muslims hate Jews and Christians. Also, Europe is the birthplace of AntiSemitism. That's where the Holocaust was planned and carried out, all over Europe, by the Nazis and their collaborators, ALL OVER EUROPE!

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: In vicious dictatorships like Iran's , the leaders usually assure their own comforts even when the population is suffering from economic dysfunction and acute deprivation. Never saw any pictures of an emaciated Mao when he was starving 20 million Chinese in his absurd "Great Leap Forward". Stalin always looked content even when Ukrainians were openly selling human torsos for food (I've seen a picture of that and the horror is beyond description).

Destitution is typically a product of a grievously wounded economy so how long can the well fed mullahs and their IGRC cadre hold out against 90 millions facing compelling want?

Hard to say if the fanatics who still have the say so in Iran fear the personal physical destruction we and especially the Israelis could visit on them any time. As you say, decisive kinetic response leaving them no say so is probably the only way to deal with them.

  3. Ray from Jack : I think your comments above are highly plausible.

My understanding is that medieval Christianity regarded Jews as "Christ killers". But what about their conviction that Christ's death on the cross ensured Divine forgiveness of their sins!?

Again, my perception from my reading is that the high Muslim civilizations of our so named Middle Ages(eg. the Baghdad and Damascus Caliphates and Iberian Islam), tolerated Jews in their midst for their obvious intellectual competence and their necessarily practiced economic prowess in their diaspora , but ONLY if they did not get "uppity""

I don't know how much control the Ottomans exercised over the various ethnic groups who they commanded in their empire. Was it centralized or did they establish their own system of semi independent "Princely States" like the Brits imposed on South Asia? If their rule was distant , it is possible that many age old vicious ethnic rivalries and other murderous resentments festered within their empire?

If so, why is it that the animus against the offenses , yes, some of which very possibly committed by 19th and 20th century Jewish immigrants, excite such dominant and murderous antipathy among formerly Ottoman subordinates like Arabs and among Iranians? The deciding factor is, I think, the age old specter of Jew hatred, long since degraded into murderous, reflexive , essentially emotional hatred.

So is the rift between incensed Islam and post Holocaust Judaism irreparable? It may well be. . . . But perhaps it can only be resolved by the finally , gudgingly acceded realization by Middle East Islam that Israel is here to stay and eventually, the undeniable reality of the well being produced by Israeli expertise and example.

Also, I suggest reading up on what Martin Luther had to say about Jews. Must have stuck in German minds right up to and beyond The Holocaust. Martin Luther, of all people!

  5. Ray from Jack: I read a book titled Ideology of Death (can't remember author's name) which was a history of the German antisemitism the author holds to have been rampant well before the Nazi era. Yes, he cited Luther as an intense Jew condemner and we all are aware of Luther's influence on German civilization.

  7. Ray from Jack: Thank you for telling me about Devin Sper. I will be reading his comments frequently.

I am intrigued by his essay on the the "American" left's (my punctuation) recently reaffirmed - with ghoulish viciousness after Oct. 7 - alliance with militant Islam. In it he commented that Marxism is often advanced as one reason for this bizarre cooperative. But he holds that Marxism is a carefully constructed doctrine beyond the ken of most in today's far left and therefore not applicable to today's neo Nazi (my opinion) America Academy Jew hating savages He concludes that the present reasons for this counterintuitive link are: hatred of America and of Jews.

There has been extensive examination of Marx's views on Judaism. The majority view of those cited in the survey I read was that Marx, as in his work On the Jewish Question, wrote , as Middle East history scholar Bernard Lewis opined, "a classic of antisemitic propaganda". I've believed for a long time that Marxism is inherently antisemitic. ( I know that the Nazis professed antimarxism but I hold they are totalitarian bedfellows with it). There has been frequent expression in the journal Commentary about Jews who nonetheless embrace Marxism and /or its actions.

But perhaps we of the fully aroused American anti far left need not be overly scrupulous in our use of the term Marxism in describing today's "American "far left. They freely bandy the term "fascist" to portray us and I'm sure most of them can't define it. Nor are they competent to explain Marxism but they "feel" it and that's enough for those worker ants.

I'm sure you will remember how the courageous David Horowitz wrote about this in his book Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left after the first attack on the World Trade Center. For the most part he expressed views now reiterated in Sper's essay .

I think today's post Oct. 7 "from the river to the sea" automatons are the spawn of Marxists.

  8. Ray, I'd say you're rather pessimistic about the prospects for "peace" in the Middle East. Peace is relative, in my view. No region is ever 100% quiescent, but no region is completely given over to bloodshed either. Things can get a lot more peaceable in the Middle East, and defanging Iran would be a big step in that direction.

True, Martin Luther and plenty of his contemporaries were vicious anti-Semites, but, on balance, I don't think there's any evidence that anti-Semitism flourished in Germany more so than any other European country before 1933, and arguably it was a lot less prevalent there than in Russia and most of Eastern Europe. There's a reason why the Nazis moderated their anti-Semitism in polite company...

Is Marxism anti-Semitic? I wouldn't say so. Marxism professed a doctrine that transcended race and culture, and that was one of the reasons why so many Jews flocked (and still flock) to its banner. Of course, individual Marxists, like Stalin, might have seen it differently...
