Friends, I'm happy to report that the war of words between DJT and Elon Musk seems to be dying down. Both men are taking a breather and stepping back from the brink of a complete rupture. That's sensible, because they still have, as Victor Davis Hanson suggests, a lot of common interests. Moreover, they can do one another considerable harm, but the only obvious beneficiaries of such infighting would be...their common enemies. I would hope that their closest advisors are telling them as much. Let's not forget how powerful and how ruthless are the forces arrayed against these conservative nationalist populists... The establishment can and will crush us all underfoot, unless we stay united and dedicated to a higher purpose. For their own sakes, and for the nation's sake, and for the the sake of truth, justice, the American way, and liberty itself, I implore Trump and Musk to act with magnanimity and maturity henceforth. I see some early signs that this will come to pass.

Dr. Waddy from Jack : Building on some points made in the articles and by yourself: DJT is engaged in some very sensitive international matters and cannot to be seen as being seen by ruthless leaders he must deal with , as weak; or, actually, by his domestic opponents, who are just as dangerous. To be intimidated even by the world's richest man could make him appear that way. Our country's vital interests make it imperative then that Musk yet again do what is best for his country and be the conciliatory party in this blow up. His patriotism has been well proven especially over the last 6 months and we need him!
ReplyDeleteVP Vance is right; the Trump administration is saving America. It has brought the totalitarian intended antiamerican far left to bay in a very possibly final showdown. It needs Musk on board.
Can we rely on Russia to transport our astronauts ? Musk graces himself in apparently being now willing to save us that onerous choice.

ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Hooray for DJT for sending the National Guard into riotous LA. Lots of innocent people, some of whom may , yes, disagree with what ICE is doing but are unwilling to resort to violence (insurrection maybe?) are threatened by this radical directed mayhem. That he is doing this against the will of Kalifornia's pathetic Governor, I hope, presages more use of Federal power (including but not limited defunding) against states and localities which flout Immigration and Constitutional law, should they not take warning from this present action. In doing so President Trump is enforcing the rule of law, as he should.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: The Dems are beginning to acknowledge that they have a problem with men. Well bless me for a fool but who woulda thought they do!? They have even commissioned a 20 million dollar study of ,well, men. This could of course be conveniently shelved by that faction of feminists which conveniently chooses to excoriate all men and intimidates the Dems , should it not satisfy their views.
ReplyDeleteFox had an intelligent young man on today who said: "Its simple: they have to stop condemning all of us if they want to get us back" . That radical feminists use their hate as a basis for policy meant to disadvantage all men has been amply demonstrated (eg. affirmative action and mandatory " sexual harassment" training with presupposes all men inclined to this offense). If the dems continue to champion such counterintuitive humbug they will continue to lose.
Above" . . . limited to defunding . . ." Jack
ReplyDeleteTrue, Trump can't afford to be "weak", but I think he could afford to be the "bigger man" and let bygones be bygones. Anyway, Musk has spared him the burden of taking the initiative. Either Musk came to his senses, or his intimates explained to him the immense risk he was taking. Either way, I'm glad that we've put this silliness behind us!
ReplyDeleteYes, the howls of protest from the Dems were predictable, but the strong federal action to quell these riots was needed and just. By all means, if the lefties want to incite more violence, and then take the side of the insurgents, let them. Sure, the inhabitants of blue cities will pay a price, but so will the Dems themselves. I can live with that.
Quite right: it's hard to win over any segment of the population when you don't fundamentally respect those who belong to it. Truth be told, the Dems don't even respect women. They can't figure out what they are, and they excoriate them when they dare to think for themselves. As for men, well, their contempt for us is downright blistering!
