Friends, I've speculated that things could get very interesting with Pam Bondi as our new Attorney General, because, for once, the prosecutorial powers of the federal government could be turned against our erstwhile overlords, i.e. Democratic and establishment politicians. Well, voila! Today we learned that Letitia James, the New York State Attorney General and a prominent tormentor of DJT, may be prosecuted for mortgage fraud. Ha! I say again: ha! Is this pure political parback? Maybe it is, and maybe it isn't, but I'm pretty sure it's just the tip of a very large iceberg. Oh my! The next four years could be great fun...

In other news, Sleepy Joe came out of hiding long enough to chastise the Trump Administration incoherently. His most interesting remark was a cryptic reference to how Trump supporters are just "30%" of the population, and of course we/they "have no heart". Well, moral judgements aside, it's a good sign that the Dems think they have us on the ropes, and America has turned against us, because what it shows is that they, the Democrats, are complacent and learned nothing from their defeat in November. Of course, that isn't exactly news. Self-satisfaction is a leftist specialty, as is contempt for other ways of thinking. These foibles have led "progressives" down many a blind alley, and, I'm happy to report, they're still as blind as ever!
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Mega ditto on James. She is a blatant and unapologetic practitioner of the use of government office to make partisan "legal"attack on those with whom she bears political animus. That millions of her constituents wish her no success of this is of no moment to her aside from public sneering. Let her be hoisted on her own petard , for completely creditable and honorable reasons prompted by her freely enacted malfeasance .
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: What she did to DJT was execrable but it only made him stronger. Now her political ambitions are "for it" and may well be headed for the dump into which she tried to drive DJT.
ReplyDeleteBut in related news: Chris Churchill, a creditable objective commentator out of the state capitol of Albany opined today on Elise Stefanik. She represents NY's (yes) God's country in our rugged Northern reaches , in the House and his offering on her is that her future is dramatically promising She was slated for the U.N. Ambassadorship and, surprisingly , was glad to be so bound. That nest of tinhorns would seem a degrading place for one of her qualities and promise but she knows best what she is about. But because of concerns about our thin margin in the House and the onerous possibility of the Dems running a do or die Clintonesque phony in that common sense area, she was bade retain her seat.
She's a soldier; she proved that by going all out for DJT after her initial misgivings. So she's done her duty in this situation and is gathering IOUs . She's only forty and she's already a power in the House, a welcome counter to AOC. Those two may have a date with history down the line. Stefanik, Bondi, Noem and maybe Gabbard ;I gladly reprise my erstwhile (sometimes much tried) prediction that the first woman President will be GOP and qualified, rather than "politically correct". Well yeah, Hillary is nominally qualified but her offputting and vindictive imperiousness and her obvious man hatred make her a still unpromising candidate.
Meanwhile, I hope Stefanik goes for Governor. Hochul is a disgrace and I would to like see her try to match the very well spoken Stefanik in debate. Rep. Stefanik made the apparently august but actually out of her league President of Harvard no less, look like the intellectual sophomore she is. Stefanik's Congressional examination of Madame President and her equally disingenuous colleagues from other once exalted "universities" for their countenancing and sometimes enablement of vicious neo Nazi demonstrators on their campuses was unrelentingly objective and devastating to those prevaricating apologists. Multiple resignations justly ensued. In doing this Stefanik gave DJT's now full scale onslaught on haughty and presumptuous academic far leftists an early fillip. It's going to be redeeming , I think, to watch her progress. A new generation of young and unapologetic stalwarts for our new GOP manifests unlimited promise for America in its determination to end the Marxist near destruction of our civilization.
Well said, Jack! I think Stefanik would be a wonderful GOP gubernatorial candidate. Hochul would be a terrible Democratic candidate, so I hope they keep her, and it looks like they will. That gives Stefanik a chance, but history would suggest that 2026 will be a very challenging year for Republicans. I had hoped that more damage would have been done to the legacy media and the purse strings of the Left by now, but, since it hasn't, nothing will come easy in '26.
