Mad As Hell/Mad As A Hatter

Friends, the lefties were out in force today, demanding that Trump and Musk keep their "hands off"...pretty much everything.  The demonstrations had no thematic focus, except for TDS, but that's hardly a problem.  TDS has become the central organizing principle of so many people's lives these days.  I reckon most of them are Democratic Party activists and/or geriatric white liberals who watch CNN or MSNBC all day.  Assuming they remain the "face" of the Dems and the resistance to Trump, we have little to worry about.  On the off chance that the economy tanks, however, you better believe that these wackos will be joined by plenty of centrists and swing voters, at least in the short term.  We would be foolish to dismiss the political relevance of these protests altogether, therefore.  The Left can and will become a bonafide threat to the GOP/conservative/Trump agenda, if we aren't careful.  We had a chance to strangle the legacy media by denying it access to the president, and by starving it of advertising dollars based on our irresistible political/cultural momentum.  We didn't do either.  Thus, the Left has been able to suck in more than enough political oxygen to keep its hopes alive.  In the near term, of course, they have precious little ability to accomplish anything in D.C., except by judicial obstructionism.  What they may be able to do, however, by battering away at Trump and Musk's popularity, is scare enough GOP Senators and Congressmen into defecting from Trumpism that further progress on DJT's agenda becomes impossible.  The best way we can prevent this from happening is to 1) deliver the goods on the policy front and keep the economy strong, and 2) discredit the "resistance" as a bunch of violent cranks.  It remains to be seen whether we succeed on either point.

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: One of the articles quotes a current communard's sign as saying "you can't spell 'hatred' without 'red hat' ". Oh that's cute, that's priceless but alas, its insupportable. Why?

Because these very extensive demonstrations are clearly very well organized by political pros and financed by sinfully wealthy seeking to quiet their raging consciences by virtue signaling. And they ain't from the common sense side of our polity, folks. They are NYC lala landers; callow "students" who are far better at dissembling and reflexively castigating than they are at learning (some of them may grow up some day); presently or soon to be Federally defunded "community storefront 'Che' worshiping organizers" who now have now to find real jobs in a real economy; 75 year old still radical baby boomers gleefully reliving the days when they helped to send the Vietnamese boat people on their luxury cruises in the sultry South China Sea, the mindless anarchists and dissemblers who will always be with us but are since the '60s, exalted by the vocal far left rump- of course too, the grimly determined far left pros, the prospective Secret Police Heads and Commissars should their marxist "revolution " yet succeed.

Gee, young lady, young man, dessicated boomer or neo Stalinist pro : your reflexive retreat to your worn out old "hatred" saw don't have s- - t comin' any more. Your side has long since mastered virtuoso expression and demonstration of limitless HATE.

As Dr. Waddy said, keep on keeping on ,you proto totalitarians! When its in this vein, you do but do your "cause" immeasurable discreditation.

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Our side must of necessity be prepared for some people, even some of good will, to be swayed by this well organized and managed street expression and think it to be spontaneous reaction to profound injustices. One is reminded of 1905 in Russia, when the Marxist eventual mass murderers almost prevailed. Certainly nothing expressed in Paris or other politically nefarious settings need be influential . But no doubt some Americans will be moved by these neo Stalinist expressions of the will of the "broad masses" and among them might even be some who repaired to MAGA out of understandable disgust with a thoroughly far left captured dem party they had thought their advocate!

But I am confident that team Trump has prepared for setbacks. They are in this for the long run; this is the point of decision, where we must, if ever, "take back our country". If not NOW begun,we are finished.

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: No doubt some of these demonstrators who seek or are led by those who seek to reprise the very "mass action" which delivered S. Vietnam to communist tyranny and Vietnam veterans and their many Gold Star families to emotional devastation.

But gee , they are missing a key ingredient of their successful treason; that is a cadre of draft age youth who saw a convenient way to avoid fighting for freedom. It wasn't even a majority but the boomers were such a huge generation that even that faction's disloyalty had a telling effect. Whatcha gonna find this time you America hating dissemblers?!

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Now several Ivy League "universities" have been stripped of many millions in Federal largesse because of their purposeful support ( I think that is just what it is too!) for violent Jew haters on their once exalted campuses. Harvard is being hit for billions. GOOD!

Many of America's premier "universities" have shamed themselves beyond measure with their embrace of America hating far left totalitarians in their "student" bodies, faculties and administrations. They have forfeited their celebrated intellectual quality by substituting virulently intolerant radical political correctness for free academic dialogue and empirical soundness. Jew hatred is a customary totalitarian evil practiced enthusiastically by Nazis and Commies in the 20th century. To have shown it any measure of approval reduces these once venerated institutions to the status of indoctrination centers only and yet reflects incalculable discredit on the not entirely blameworthy American academy .

I celebrate our Administration's firm refusal to countenance this historically condemned HATEFUL offense on campuses which have heretofore haughtily presumed a "right" to taxpayer support without regard for the "universities' " antipathy to the America which pays these taxes.

  5. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Maybe it is a derivative of pure TDS however, which motivates these latter day Paris Communards. The Communard capitol , Paris, was invested by barbarian Prussians in 1871. Similarly in their myopic totalitarian mien, these present day dreamy utopians have seen their capitol, DC, occupied by political Philistines at the very behest of despised DJT. So, I would suggest, they derive much of their emotional energy from what he has wrought in his prolix administration of 2.5 months rather than from simple hatred of his very person.

But, as even flighty France rose to the occasion and denied the Paris Communards their Marxist goal, so also their American avatars stand to experience decisive repulse! Their America hating elements are obvious and America has finally grown weary beyond exhaustion of their presumptuous demands upon our polity. This ain't the '60s; we know these people now and we are, after all, not cowed by them!

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack" Well, Scotus has begun what one hopes will be a decisive series of law abiding setbacks for the lawless far left's prostitution of the Federal Trial level courts. I understand the ruling to say:that the 1789 act empowering the President to deport hostile aliens means what it says and what Scotus past precedent ruled and if Habeas Corpus is protested, it must start in state courts (I'm assuming State Habeas procedure exists in all states; I know it does in NY. ). Then again , maybe it means it must originate only in the Federal District Court having traditional and defined geographic jurisdiction eg. "Western District of NY" (?) Either way this can help to put the quietus to cynical leftist "jurisdiction shopping" , at least in this aspect of deportation. Of course we already know how NY's compromised judiciary would ultimately rule but how about Texas, Montana and the rest of common sense, law abiding America? AG Bondi said it best today" terrorists. you might as well self deport because we are going to get you".

Characteristically, Scotus's far left rump ruled, well, as far leftists do, in yet futile "Critical Legal Studies" ("legal" "whatevah, what do we 'feel' today" reasoning )dictated pontificating. Everyday the radicals recklessly trumpet their contempt for America to an ever increasingly repelled America.

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: "HANDS OFF!" ehhh? That's their call to arms ?Oh that is rich.

That, from the very people who for decades have been forcing ever more extensive, intrusive and expensive government on us deplorables. Oh I know all those young, evanescent idealists who swell the ranks and make such impressive mass pictures in this, this . . . "popular uprising" know little about what they are supporting. They think "politically correct" totalitarianism is just peachy, as long as they are not inconvenienced by it and it delivers their hearts' desires. But the hard core Marxists, the prospective Pol Pots, who goad, organize and finance the poor sheepish dears ,know full well what they themselves intend . "Hands off" indeed!!

Consider the latest proposals seriously considered in the Dem dominated Illinois legislature; if they pass, their thuggish Governor will certainly sign. They propose to mandate that home schoolers adhere precisely to comprehensive standards painfully conceived and mandated by that now lamentably far left corrupted state's cadre of 23 year old "university educated" sociology degree holders in government. And if ya don't, ya go ta da clink! (How can a blue collar town like Chicago, ravaged as it is by apologists for murderous criminals, tolerate such a state administration ?! But its just the latest example of the "American" far left's determination to have an elite, omnipotent , omniscient and unimpeachably just GOVERNMENT have its hands securely laid on EVERYTHING!

That is what these demonstrations are for. To the left, DJT's direct attack on their long presumed prerogatives, excoriations and their haughty presumptions are "the King's evil, St. Vitus's dance, the incurably scrofulous plague" of, gasp, despised common sense! They cannot bear it; they writhe under its "irrelevant" (the traditional, fundamental far left condemnation) its irreverent and its immaterial oppression.

  8. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Addition to my comment above on Scotus: Federal District Court decisions must be held to be mandatory legal authority ONLY in their geographical jurisdiction and I hope this ruling is a step in the reaffirmation of this traditional and common sense rejection of the corrupted reasoning which has manifested these absurd "universal injunctions" by very subordinate Federal District Court justices.

  9. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Re Illinois dictates to home schoolers: I'm sure they go far beyond procedural matters and are replete with DEI, sexual indoctrination, hatred for America and emphasis on the unacceptability of any but "correct" feelings.

But, freedom from far leftist oppression is just what motivates many home schoolers and it appears that Illinois is determined not to let them be. That is of course in keeping with traditional marxist disdain for parents and the family.

  10. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Re DJT's latest move today, showing regard to those willing to negotiate and denying China any slack. I think our President is a nervy , canny player and I think his latest riposte very well measured. I don't know if we've ever had as good a wheeler dealer as him. Maybe Lincoln, maybe FDR. But that he would be a real badass at it is not completely surprising perhaps, though his unprecedented expeditiousness perhaps could not have been predicted. He cut his deal making teeth in NYC real estate. That takes guts and grit. Poker played with him would be a kick. And what other President has ever publicly dropped "kiss my ass" just by the by!? The guy is an ace and we are lucky to have him.

And he is playing the psychological stock market game with skill, I think and not without compassion though it is painful to think of the anxiety suffered by those who depend on it. Past Presidents have had to take vital measures that have risked much anguish , eg. in the Cuban missile crisis

  11. Dr. Waddy from Jack: It may be amusing to see how the "hands off" crowd reacts to this latest development. Into what contrary cul de sac will their Marxist dictators direct them ? Well, it cannot be anything even hinting at the Stock Market's canny approval of the President's latest play of strength. Free enterprise is of course, unspeakable anathema to them.

The President's sophisticated competitive mien is incomprehensible to the far left. They know only dictation, excoriation and consequent application of force ( "legal" , subjective or rawly corporal)in advancement of their "unchallengable justice" . He is playing them like trout on a line although they do not deserve the sympathy owed an impaled fish.

  12. I agree, Jack. These protests are all "sound and fury" signifying very little. Granted, the Left has bestirred itself to grouse. I guess that technically counts as a sign of life...

Good point that the "resistance" is currently lacking in youthful dynamism. Oh, I suppose some professional rabble-rousers on college campuses might join the party, but I see no sign that the young are engaged in the anti-Trump movement in a broader sense. Trump seems more popular with the young than ever before, in fact. To me, the critical fact is that those who suffer from TDS are, as they always have been, fundamentally detached from reality. That's a good thing. As long as they're chasing their tails and howling at the moon, there's little danger that they'll accidentally overthrow the Republic. My big concern is not the protestors or the Democrats, therefore, but the capacity of Trump and Republicans in general to score "own goals" (and to turn on each other).

I was glad to see that SCOTUS upheld one of Trump's executive powers. What we need, though, is a more sweeping ruling that curtails the ability of district court judges to play president themselves.

Jack, home schooling and school choice will flourish in Trump's America, which is a narrative I would like to see the media explore more, but it may not be so in blue states, where the teachers' unions will demand that all competition be extirpated. Parents: take note and vote with your feet!

  13. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I would guess that a comprehensive Scotus proscription of unapologetically lawless far leftist presumption of absurd national authority on the part of some ineluctably partisan subordinate "judges" awaits but a test case so crafted as to generate such a ruling. We already know that three Scotus justices share analogous convictions and have expressed them publicly.

The "American" far left is fighting but a beleagured rear guard action now and it generates such outrage as to encourage hope that their misuse of the Federal Judiciary is approaching its end. And without that, what DO they have?!
