Friends, we witnessed a historic Oval Office press conference today, as Trump and Zelensky made nice for about half an hour, and then the wheels came off and the accusations flew. Trump and Vance took Zelensky to task for his reluctance to embrace a negotiated peace agreement with Russia, while Zelensky gave as good as he got, insinuating that the new administration is ignorant of conditions in Ukraine and of Russia's perfidy. Zelensky was apparently ejected from the White House after the meeting, no "minerals agreement" was signed, and Trump declared that Zelensky can only return when he's ready for "peace". My my! This certainly does mark a change from the Biden days, when Zelensky and Ukraine could do no wrong... My guess is that Ukraine will still accept whatever terms we agree with Russia, because it's hard to imagine what their Plan B could be. Depend on the Europeans to have their back? Ha!

In other news, if Trump has his way, English will finally become America's official language, after 250 years of dithering on the subject. Boy, what a difference a presidential election can make!

ReplyDeleteBefore Trump II they thought they had it bad just in the very presence of insolent doubt of their unimpeachable justice. Now its being ENACTED and their weltenschaung is well nigh unbearable and has brought them close to a critical mass of despair and thirst for vengeance.
Since the 60s they have strived to do Khrushchev one better and actually "bury" America. They deserve all the interminable discomfiture detested DJT's monumental repulse is working on them. They tried to destroy one of the most, on balance successful civilizations ever. "Oh, that's all?"
Yes, the lefties are despairing, but their extreme angst is still abetted by a vast media apparatus that thrives by stirring them up. The sooner a conservative billionaire comes along and buys CNN and MSNBC, not to mention most of the major newspapers, the sooner these poor, suffering neo-Bolsheviks can be put out of their misery...by which I don't mean killed. No! I mean, they can get on with their lives, enjoy their hobbies, hug their wives and children, and put their sick delusions behind them. Peace of mind is but one remote control away, progressives. Take heed.
