Vindication

Friends, to all of you who have hoped and prayed for a Trump victory in 2024, and who may have expected that it would come "the hard way" in a squeaker...well!  The American people had different ideas, didn't they?  It now looks as though Trump will win the electoral college AND the popular vote AND a popular vote majority AND the Senate majority AND the House majority.  Wow!  What we're looking at is the best case scenario for Trump, for Trump supporters, for Republicans, for conservatives, and -- let's face it -- the American people.  It's a clear, unambiguous, incontestable victory, and as close to a "mandate" or a "landslide" as a modern American presidential candidate is likely to obtain.  We don't know what this will mean in terms of policy in the next four years, but we do know what it means for Democrats: abject defeat, humiliation, and a long process of introspection and some very hard decisions to make about future strategy.  For America's sake, I hope the Democrats, at least in their current, neo-Marxist form, have reached a dead end and that they will never again assume power in this country.  That remains to be seen, but this is a very good start!

  1. Dr.Waddy from Jack: THANK GOD! NIce call Doc Waddy; your reasoning was vindicated too.

Bottom line I think: the dem party has swung way too far to the left and the majority of Americans are sick of it!

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: This is a fantastic day for America! I'm very happy for DJT; what a wonderful redemption it affords him. He has worked so hard for it and us.What a relief this is.

One drawback for NYers; this epic deliverance and that "Equal Rights" (except for conservatives) amendment will greatly intensify NY state government's siege mentality. We can expect a deluge of test cases, legislation and executive orders the purpose of which will be to transform NY state into a bastion of unapologetic far left presumptuousness, dictatorial imposition of wokeness and contempt for the Constitution. I fully expect a declaration to that effect at any moment from our Governor.

We have already seen such intention in abortion and gunrights measures enacted in NY. Much, much more is on the way. Again, at some point it may be appropriate for the Feds to treat NY state as several southern states were in the '50s and '60s for flouting the Constitutional rights of their citizens. Direct Federal administration of some aspects of NY state law and administration may become unavoidable. ("So sue us. . . !")

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: That an observer as careful to avoid speculative hyperbole as you are to propose the possibility that this repulse might put the neo Marxist America haters on the slippery slope is very encouraging. Our country was saved yesterday, perhaps for the long run.

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Already the dems "bleat bitter" and reprise the old saw they use whenever they lose: "we just didn't get our message out!" Naw, it was read loud and clear: " you (deplorables) need to trust us; we know better than you what's what".

  5. Dr. Waddy from Jack: A commentator today said this is a "victory for common sense". Well and truly said! The neomarxism of the radical left everywhere is a conscious rejection of the common sense which informs the putatively"deplorable" rabble in their pedestrian , every day lives bereft of intellectual enlightenment.

Another opined that DJT has forged a new, permanent, dominating political coalition. Maybe, maybe. Could be, with VP JD and other rising stars like Vivek Ramaswamy at hand.

This is a time for intense celebration as we witness this staggering setback for the antiamerican left. Today some of them lamented that (horrors) they may have to review their strategy. No! They must reconsider their very doctrine itself and in so doing the justification for the continuance of their vicious, presumptuous incipient totalitarianism. Their amoral expeditiousness (eg. lawfare and personal destruction) proves them to be capable of any thing which advances their goal of complete, incidentally and arbitrarily guided , unchallenged power. But they will not be as honestly introspective or responsible. They are fanatics. They must be permanently marginalized with overwhelming political force reflecting the views of the common sense majority.

If enough of the loyal American Dem party remains to do so, they must jettison the radicals to sojourne in grimy atavistic corners of far left redoubts like (I hate to say it) NY and California. That the dems may well be compelled to do, should they conclude that their continued existence as a viable and contest worthy force in our national polity, is worth working for.

Our well deserved euphoria at the miraculous success of our endurance and well rewarded faith in the astonishing advent of this remarkable, tough, tough and good man, may for a time induce in us giddy prospects. No harm there; hard reality will soon settle in. Let's enjoy it now, secure in the knowledge that the future of our country has taken on a far more favorable aspect.

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Those who fully recognized the vital need to keep the heat turned up until the penultimate moment, to never presume, have been upheld. Things started looking good for DJT a few weeks ago but his supporters never relented.

Now, an even more difficult task looms and it will require similar relentless attention and faith in both the probability and the virtue of the object. That is: the final destruction of the bizarre, counterintuitive existential threat to America posed by the now 60 year campaign of a (yes, in our very country) , counterintuitive, historically condemned , always ultimately murderous movement: the devotion to the actual unimaginablely tragic marxist siren call which savaged so much of the world itself in the 20th century.

What fostered it in the US? The unprecedented well being afforded by the prosperity of the post war period in the US, gave some of us (notably the naive children of the severely tested Greatest Generation of Depression and WWII survivors, together with cynical old line commie profs who welcomed us to the campuses we flocked to in the '60s), perceived leave to indulge in smoky flights of ingratitude about the incredibly good fortune our place of birth afforded us.

The time may well now be at hand for the final reckoning over this terrible misapprehension.

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: People like Georgia DA Fani Willis and her overly remunerated paramour, Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, NY state AG James and "prosecutor" ( medieval inquisitor)Jack Smith - jackals all - who sought to feast on the political remains of DJT - , today are shown up for the moral microbes and disgraces to their yet creditable profession that they are!

  9. Wahoo! Yes, it was quite a night. I figured the Atlas Intel polls probably had it about right, since they did last time. Of course, I had my doubts! Who didn't...

Good point that what happens in deep blue states like ours may be a lot less salutary than what happens nationally. We could see a reaction that involves extremism and even persecution. I'm encouraged by lefties' initial reactions to the results, though. No violence and a lot of grudging acceptance. A few may suddenly realize that they don't live in the leftmost of all possible worlds... They live in the real world, and they might want to take a good, hard look at it.

How will the Dems react to this reversal? That will be fascinating to behold! Quite a few will imagine that only tactical changes, or different front men, are needed. They may be right. There is clearly, oh, five percent of the electorate that is persuadable, and Dems are perfectly capable of persuading them. On the other hand, the Dems would be wise to consider the possibility that their ideology and their indifference to the public's doubts about it led them to make some policy choices -- like opening the border -- that were self-destructive. I never understood why they did that. The only explanation could be that they figured America -- those racist swine -- would sit there and take its medicine. Well, actions have consequences, after all!

Let's not forget that Fani Willis was reelected handily on Tuesday, so she won't be smarting from that... The campaign of "vengeance" mounted by DJT, if there is one, could have many objects, but I'd like to suggest that there are none better than the very prosecutors who set out to torment him.

Jack, it might be a great time to expand the federal court system, as a matter of fact, like Carter did. Let's flood the land with Trump judges!

  10. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Re the border: I think the far left which controls pore 'ol Joe Biden saw the opportunity in 2021 to present a recalcitrant America with a fait accompli and it took it, cynically and expeditiously. In doing so they have worked almost incalculable disorder and damage; much of the incoming administration's energy will of necessity be devoted simply to countering it.

  11. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Very much political capital will have to be risked by DJT in mitigating this onerous situation, especially in carrying out the deportations which will be reflexively portrayed by the antiamerican left as the very worst of totalitarian oppression rather than the rule of law established by a democratic process which gave full audience to the concerns of those who understandably wish to enjoy our country's well being.

  12. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I would suggest that much of DJT's deserved vindication consists already in the now obvious failure of the all out onslaught on him by antiamerica since 2015. Where he sees continued injustice of this sort, he will no doubt be specially sensitive to it and determined to defeat it with the just power he has earned .

  13. Jack, to your point, while the lefties may back off on prosecuting Trump, I suspect they will eagerly intensify their persecution of other targets -- Musk foremost among them.
