Friends, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is suggesting that President Trump's imminent (?) deployment of the National Guard to Chicago, ostensibly to tackle crime, is actually a sign that he intends to militarize and manipulate U.S. elections. This may seem like tortured reasoning to you and me, but it's an article of faith on the Left: Trump is an aspiring dictator who will end American democracy as we know it. Never mind the fact that the opposition to Trump is just as active and outspoken as ever. Now, exactly how the National Guard could be used to steal an election is an interesting question. At any rate, Democratic Governors regularly deploy the National Guard in domestic situations, and they never usurp power that isn't rightfully theirs... I personally see little downside to Trump sending in the National Guard. If the Dems want to go down fighting for the rights of criminals and illegal aliens, so be it.
In other news, the MSM is in a tizzy about the fact that a Hyundai plant was raided in Georgia, and hundreds of South Korean nationals were arrested. Well, that's too bad, but South Koreans are bound to uphold our immigration laws just as much as Mexicans or Guatemalans are. We welcome foreign investment in this country, but we give quarter to no one, and no country, and no multinational corporation, when it comes to respecting our sovereignty and the rule of law, period!

Dr. Waddy from Jack: I completely agree with what you said above about Gov.B. J. Pretzles' humbug expectorations. He conveniently ignored the fact that the Pres. Trump only got a chance to pardon or commute the draconian sentences of Jan.6 demonstrators until after they had served considerable time . Did the good Gov. ever criticize the plainly illegal personal lawfare DJT was subjected to or speculate about the long range consequences for us all had it succeeded?

Gov. Pretzles should, however, fully expect Pres. Trump will react with the same determined action he has shown so far in his tenure on so many issues should he see the Dems working their characteristic dishonesty in future elections. And should the far left deploy their anarchic storm troopers to disrupt future elections he may well use the military to defeat them.

That the "American" far left , including those obsequious "moderate Dems" who prefer incipient totalitarianism to the product of democracy would, if they had the power, be fully as forcefully oppressive as their ilk has always been, we need not doubt ; history proves it!They have already shown in America their presumptuous and arbitrary authoritarian nature in the those fields in which they already exercise considerable power (at least for the time being): eg. the law, the American academy, (including "scientific" research), elementary and secondary public education, (New Jersey proposes a law to force homeschoolers to comply with state education dep't woke standards - to get shut of that vicious nonsense is why so many of those conscientious parents took on such a demanding task anyway - these hopeful radical dictators never relent, do they), the news media, corporate boardrooms, entertainment and even to some extent the military , police and the prisons.

Dr. Waddy from Jack: Re: the rule of law as it applies to the administration' s assault on illegal immigration and the continued presence in our country of those who have broken this law. Again, our Immigration Laws are products of our democratic legislative process which was enabled only by Constitutionally guaranteed free debate and consequent compromise among elected representatives on the very issues now so anarchically used by the "American" far left to work direct resistance to these laws in the name of "justice". Ooops!

Ray, maybe "democracy as we know it" NEEDS to go, since pretty much everyone agrees it's been broken, and thoroughly compromised by corruption, for some time. Ah, but what will replace it?
