Friends, Democrats and leftists have become increasingly obsessed with the "Epstein files", and increasingly bold in their claims that Donald Trump is a pedophile who is covering up his (deep) involvement in the Epstein scandal. Well, I believe that's 100% hogwash. I've never been remotely interested in the Epstein business, and I've never believed there were "lists" or "tapes" that would conclusively prove anyone's culpability, and especially not Trump's! As usual, this is pure wish fulfilment on leftists' part, and it is getting increasingly pathetic and deranged, if you ask me. On the other hand, we have to accept and deal with the fact that the truthfulness of an allegation does not necessarily determine its impact and its influence. How Trump and the Trump Administration have "played" the Epstein issue has not always been optimal, and it may have had the unfortunate effect of giving Democrats and loony leftists ammunition to use against DJT. The second article here argues that Trump should address Epstein's accusers with more sensitivity. Maybe that's true, but the other approach is to ignore this ridiculous sideshow and/or to redirect the attention of the public to other, more plausible, victimizers. All I know is that every minute we spend talking about Epstein is one minute we're NOT spending addressing issues of substance...but perhaps that's why the Dems are gravitating in this direction in the first place.

In other news, the Supreme Court is backing up President Trump on the issue of ICE raids, and I, for one, thank SCOTUS for keeping its eye on the ball.

Finally, the Trump Administration is taking action to ensure that no conservative is ever again "debanked" simply because he or she refuses to bend the knee to the left-leaning establishment. This is very welcome, indeed! We conservatives must have access to the "public square", especially in the form of social media, and we must have, well, jobs and money, or else we starve on the streets. Thanks, DJT!!!
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Some of the main targets of Pres. Trump's assault on crime are sexual predators such as traffickers and every one of them consequently confronted is testimony to his compassion for the victims of this abomination.
ReplyDeleteThe MSM openly demonstrates its prime objective in taking advantage of this story; it hopes to destroy President Trump. Justice for Epstein and Maxwell's victims is incidental to them and their far left clients.
These are the same people who went to the wall defending the most obscene man ever to disgrace our White House, Slick Willy. He admitted his guilt after trying to lie and intimidate his way out. His justified impeachment trial was termed "ridiculous" by Charles Schumer.
They are also the folks who created and forced "Russiagate"on the nation and grossly misused our legality to try to lawfare DJT to political death. The creditable organizers of the effort to bring comfort and deserved vindication to the victims should publicly renounce any connection with the Dem party and its far left dictators. They are being cynically misused by the "by any means necessary" horde. Should they do so they might well find Pres. Trump a sympathetic champion.
I should have said above: "Should they do so they might well enable Pres. Trump to openly champion them." Jack
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Thanx to DJT and Mitch McConnell( and Hillary I suppose for her "deplorables" faux pas which made her attitude to common sense America crystal clear and consequently torpedoed her long suffering ambition to turn Scotus into a rubber stamp for her hatred ), thanx again; we have a lawful Scotus to back up a Presidency devoted to opposing the curse of the unlawful and disloyal "American" far left! Its salubrious effect on our political life manifests almost incredible good fortune for America.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Its indicative of the increasing bizarreness of the NYC Mayoral race that Cuomo, CUOMO for the luvva, may well be the only possible savior of NYC from communist dictatorship. I'm prompted to say this by President Trump's executive attack on the far left presumption that they can misuse such vital institutions as banking to serve their totalitarian intentions. Cuomo, as NY Governor ,sought to use his intimidating executive power to block as much financial support as he could from institutions and advocates supporting Constitutionally enshrined private gun owners , for whom he harbors such withering contempt ; "they are just a vocal minarhitty" is his characteristic expectoration. Imagine, a virtue signaling far left shill like him being viewed as NYC's "savior"?! Gads!
ReplyDeleteAnd imagine a knee jerk far left advocate like Cuomo daring any criticism of a minority! Jack
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: I commend to you a review of a book: "Butler : the untold story of the near assassination of Donald Trump and the fight for America's heartland" by Salena Zito, on Real Clear Politics ,9/8/25.
ReplyDeleteThe author of the book compares the near miss and the gutsy reaction that DJT experienced and demonstrated to the very close call Washington had in his long trek to Virginia's capitol of Williamsburg after discerning French fortification of the very strategically important future Pittsburgh area in the mid 1750s . Had he been killed , the effect on U.S. history would have been profound, as he was the ideal commander of the Continental Army, a brilliant choice for President of the Constitutional Convention and a first U.S. President who displayed a restraint from seizing dictatorial power which astounded George III.
Her implicit comparison of DJT as a seminal figure she supports by presenting Butler as a pivotal event in advancing a burgeoning and extremely important cultural and political realignment in the U.S. She says that Butler "hardened " it. The reviewer expresses reservations about "Trump hagiography" but opined that the author makes a reservedly plausible case for it.
I know when I saw the news of Butler I thought "he's just been elected!" I have a good friend from Western Pennsylvania's mountain country ( a land self described and justly so as " God's Country) who succinctly and eloquently summed up the appeal so very much magnified by Trump's miraculous deliverance: " he says what I want to say" .
I cannot here adequately reprise the author's support of her position on the importance of this event as a bellwhether of a high tide of long building reaction to far leftist presumptuousness and contempt for established American verities. The article does so but let me quote from it: "Butler's way of life will likely remain distant and probably misunderstood by the national media. In our politics misunderstood places are powerful. They are where voters test whether parties respect them enough to listen and in 2024 Republicans gave the distinct impression that they were better listeners." I think that stands in sharp contrast to such as Hillary's disingenuous "listening tours" which anyone familiar with her very much decided views could see for their dishonesty and contempt.
BTW, I see the Mayor of Detroit, a city corrupted beyond measure by Dem rule, has departed the Dem party.
Implicit in the author's argument is the view that common sense America has always been in the majority but has not had the confidence to fully engage the grimly purposeful incipiently totalitarian "American" far left. Now it has it and the rise and symbolic reaffirmation of DJT at Butler may have been the catalyst.
Jack, I read a long analysis today explaining why the Epstein business will be Trump's undoing (and which admitted, in passing, that there's no proof he did anything wrong). What a load of bunkum!
ReplyDeleteWell, you know my view on the proposition that "common sense America" is in the "majority". I see very little evidence of that. The generic ballot polls for 2026 would seem to suggest otherwise... The genuine, unapologetic, populist right, however, is probably as strong now as it has ever been. That's great, but it doesn't mean we have a reliable, solid majority for much of anything.
Butler changed a lot! Very possibly DJT wouldn't have won without it. Very possibly, had the shooter succeeded, we would be in the trenches right now fighting Civil War 2.0. Then again, maybe we'd be toasting President Vance. Hopefully, someda,y we'll be doing that anyway.
