No Dialogue, Please -- We're Leftists

Friends, the liberals' rush to insanity continues apace.  Now they're asking us to "defund the police", and keep in mind that they're doing this mainly in areas where Democrats and "woke" Marxist ideologues already control governments and police forces.  Yikes!  Maybe they think we should deputize Antifa to keep order in our cities, and put the policemen in chains?  That sounds about right.

The New York Times is caving on the issue of whether, in effect, Republicans and conservatives should be listened to.  Check it out:

In other news, the economy is recovering a lot faster than anyone anticipated, and the job market is falling in line.  That's good news, right?  No!  It could help Trump win in November.  Horrors!  CNN, MSNBC -- more video of policemen behaving "badly", please!

  1. That's absolutely correct. The Left would love to put Antifa in charge as a type of People's Militia. That's what happened in Europe after World War I when Communist groups similar to Antifa attempted to take over large areas of Europe in the wake of the Russian Revolution. The Communists made grabs for power especially in Germany and Hungary, and people had to fight for their lives, and they had to fight with weapons and kill Communists. There is a very thin line between what happened in Europe 100 years ago and what is happening in The United States of America now. Our radical left has grabbed a hold of the so called Democrats and is working towards the exact same goals Communists have always worked for, which is to impose a Marxist Dictatorship in every country they gain power in. Antifa is nothing more than the militant arm of the radical left in this country. I advise Americans on the right of the political spectrum to stay armed just in case our police forces become nonexistent. Then we will have to fight for our lives the same way Europeans did. It would be another civil war and it would be far worse than our first one. Trump is absolutely correct in declaring Antifa a terrorist organization, because that is exactly what they are.

  2. Dr. Waddy and Ray: Your post has not yet appeared on my Email and I am denied access to the Fox article until it does. My comments will be made on your above alone until I get it on my Email.

A very timely title; we discussed liberal dialectic bigotry in a recent post; in informal dialogue it is aggravating but when one encounters it in government, as we do routinely in the NY SSR, it is UNJUST. That is of course to be expected from leftists in power; they never let us down in that.

Why of course the shamefully discredited NYTimes sees an opportunity here to be completely honest with its militant, consummate leftist bias in incipiently endorsing suppression of conservative expression. It means to symbolically consign the principles of the despised real America to that cellar reserved for flat earthers. It has moved too fast!

First: A significant factor in this present dynamic is the gutsiness of our police. Dang! To stand up and do your duty against the undeserved and murderous calumny you all have faced recently is to be celebrated. We are lucky to have ones of your mettle and metal protecting us from the onslaught of barbarians. I'm retired from twenty years of experience in law enforcement and I cannot but defer to your courage and devotion. I'm confident you will not fold, no, against slander most false! Thank you times infinitum.

  3. Dr. Waddy: And today, stats showing that 2 million new jobs (or perhaps restorations, yes) were established in May, were broadcast and unemployment,at a disappointing only 13%, so much LESS than the 19% so hoped for by the left. Why this is hard news for the left, oh yes. Can it be that that President Trump's brilliant and expectedly knowledgeable interplay with the economy over his Presidency continues to yield us benefits objectified in such stats and in the Dow Jones? Oh gee, could it advance his reelection? Oh God forbid that such empirical support be presented against emotionally asserted dreamy leftist principles?

  4. Dr. Waddy: Yeah, let us bring Antifa into law enforcement. Consider: when Hell's Angels were invited to Altamont in '69,

We can be sure they first made thorough study of Criminal Procedure and Penal Laws and that the academic depth of their members guaranteed creditable consideration of the same in their, well, decisive measures therein? Yess...?

  5. Dr. Waddy: For what its worth noting: Shakespeare provided a telling example of the dynamic at work today in Marc Antony's cynical and disingenuously reserved eulogy for Caesar. After the having incensed the Roman mob to mindless mayhem he mutters "now let it work!". The totalitarian left does the same today as did Mao in unleashing his insane Cultural Revolution of the '60's . Get the credible and the pliable to actually believe our police are consummately brutal; yeah, that's the ticket. What a laugh the prospective young Berias and Heydrichs in today's American left are enjoying. "They think these chump police are bad? Wait 'til they see what we have in store for them especially, when we take over.It won't be 20 million executions and camps in the Southwest just for conservatives, oh no, but for these "useful idiots" too!

  6. Dr. Waddy: Another manifestation of the rapidly developing crack down on "politically incorrect" expression manifests itself daily and gives yet another, ad infinitum, warning of leftist intent if the left seizes the key to complete power, which it now expects to do in November.

That is the withering condemnation concentrated by the MSM for its own political ends on any who suggest any doubt of the motives of those now excoriating the police even in the most indirect ways. Since the fundamentally leftist MSM embraces the absurd concept of the perfidy of "microaggression" (how "micro"? Down to what microlevel, huh?)then even the slightest insinuation is arrogated unassailable credibility and undoubted obligation, upon accusation, of cringing restitution and self abasement on the part of the at best misguided perpetrators. Drew Brees is the latest target of this totalitarian nonsense. But he has a career and a reputation to protect and he did what he had to do, given the onerous reality of the power of leftist bigotry.

Today, the left has very intimidating sanctions at hand to ruin those who defy its decrees. Imagine what it will be like if they gain governmental and legal power to do so, as they have in advanced countries like Canada. But really, we do not have to imagine do we? We know what is in store and in times and places when and where it thinks it has the power, the left gives us clear warning of how it would be if they prevail. We can stop them this November; its as simple as that.

  7. Ray, you're right the Antifa is the "armed wing" of the American Left, in a sense, but I wonder how establishment Democrats feel about it... They may find it useful, insofar as it, combined with BLM and other groups, can intimidate conservatives into silence, but on the other hand violent left-wing radicals are often an embarrassment to Dems running for office. I suspect CNN and MSNBC give Antifa almost no coverage. They would prefer to pretend that it doesn't exist. In fact, quite a few lefties honestly believe that the riots are a false flag operation run by white supremacists. Their faith in the good ole KKK is virtually infinite!!!

Jack, I second your thanks to the police, who are on the "front lines" as never before. The protests appear to be mushrooming. The riots, I hope and pray, will slowly wither.

Jack, your reference to microaggressions reminds me of the fact that my own institution recently condemned some hurtful words uttered online by an accepted student -- and they were hurtful and dumb -- but what of the countless outrageous, bigoted, and inflammatory statements made by liberals? Nary a condemnation or retraction is needed. The double standards multiply daily, it seems.

    1. I certainly would not call them Democrats. The entire party as it once was, has been taken over by left-wing radicals. This is no longer the party of FDR, JFK, or LBJ, who were social liberals but anticommunists. The old Democrats are "gone with the wind".

  8. What day is this of the protests/riots? Going on what 10-11 days now? Now, I read that Mark Esper has ordered the National Guard not to be armed...something real evil is going on (sad to say or think this).

  9. Dr. Waddy et al: It IS ominous but we are not fully subjected to it YET! We can strike it a perhaps decisive blow in November if we have the will to defend our America. If we prevail then, the totalitarian American left may well implode into an emotionally driven maelstrom of self righteous self destruction. Our way is clear and it is an eminently reachable goal. We have the strength to defeat these thugs; God forbid we should not use it!

  10. Dr. Waddy et al: You have to give the left credit for seizing the initiative when rewarded with a fortuitous crisis, as crisis producing Rahm Emanuel bade them.

The conviction that endemic and pervasive police brutality obtains, a certainty doubted by only the most base and discredited, is all the "rage" now isn't it. Close behind it:"microaggression" and "unconscious (but still reprehensible) bias".

Now a verbal inflection, a fleeting gesture, a furrowed brow, a frivolous allusion free of fell intent: all this and prospectively an unlimited range of expression is liable to Inquisition by the presumptive thought police and their ubiquitous commissars. Accusation is a guarantee of condemnation, automatic intellectual and dialectic discreditation and often ruinous professional sanctions. No mercy for Heresy eh, as Drew Brees was given to understand. He knew where his bread was buttered and he did what he had to do to protect a painfully won career.

But why is such Maoist outrage becoming ever more evident and approximate?

  11. Dr. Waddy et al: Yes, there are people of good will who, for arguable reasons, believe they are doing justice by prosecuting these controversial concepts. But there are also many for whom civil rights grievance and redress are a way of life, livelihood, deference and power and they appear to be alarmed at the very obvious progress of minorities (eg. a black President elected and reelected in the privacy of the voting booth - no 98% majorities here). The assertion of ever more minute and we WILL see, trivial points of uneasiness between peoples with a long and lamentable, always subject to human foible, history of racial injustice, in both directions though more toward minorities, is a means of perpetuating an absurdly false impression of unassuaged comprehensive legal and societal inequity. The tactical advantage to the Sharptons of our polity is obvious, is as he!

Next topic in the accelerated leftist advance into unalloyed madness: "hey, lets abolish the police, yeah!" Now there is a real winner, yesiree Bob, especially at the voting booth.

  12. Dr. Waddy et al: Am I dreaming or did I read today the Minneapolis City Council majority supports dismantling their Police Force?! I think I did and yet, its not a bad idea is it? Why sure, a "community based" ehh, arbitration go between effort because after all, in crime as in all human "relations" there is always two sides (at least) to the "disagreement". Predators and victims? Same same! Why a little compassion and kumbayaa and all the boo boos can be soothed yes? Like John Lennon said, all criminals need is love, that was until he was ended by a criminal.

This will be a big boost to the "Work (or don't) for a Better City" effort. "Minneapolis - open for crime! If you've done time you're prime! Deep discounts on hotels, brothels and well, anything your little heart desires! Drug deals aplenty. If you like it here and your rap sheet is up to it, you can go to work for the city; we'll give you retirement credit for all the state time you've done in any state or for the Feds, we don't discriminate, no, no!"Well it does make a kind of sense and we ought to stand by and watch. Maybe they'll draw criminals from across the nation and out of our unappreciative real America settings. Then again there will be those Minneapolis refugees. Well, they just weren't with it ya know. Ilhan Omar's office offers exit counseling.

  13. Dr. Waddy et al: Yet once again and again the left gives us clear warning of how they would rule. I feel so sorry for regular people in Minneapolis to know that they are misrepresented by such reckless radical leftist prostituted dreamers! The American left often scoffs at our predictions that they are the harbingers of the same murderous insanity which seared hundreds of millions in the 20th century. And yet they are always pushing, always trying the limits and when resisted, temporarily and disingenuously recoiling."Why, we are progressive, they sniff and your comparison of us to those who misapplied our convictions then is all unworthy. So one hundred million lives were sacrificed to their experiments in the reconstruction of human nature. AHH, to make an omelet you must crack eggs; to convince the recalcitrant you must do randomly selected multitudes to death. Machts nichts!" How much warning do we need?. We are witnessing a spectacular and unrestrained demonstration of their chutzpah and grim totalitarian determination right now, NOW, in 2020 and there is alot more to come. They are on a roll. We can and must stop them in November if not before, lest we all become Minneapolis.

  14. Ray, agreed. The "Democrats" no longer merit the name. For one thing, a belief in "democracy" would imply that they accept the results of elections. Ha!

Linda, the persistence of the current disorder is distressing and somewhat baffling, I agree. Usually these things burn themselves out. Sooner or later you would think that Middle America would perceive that the BLM folks are pushing their luck...but remember that the media is doing its best to portray the police as the aggressors!

Jack, you're right that we have a golden opportunity to subject the Left to a humiliating defeat AND a vicious civil war between "moderates" and radicals. It would be an immense tragedy if we blew this golden opportunity. Then again, the undoing of the Democratic Party might actually be accelerated by a victory in November! Stranger things have happened.

You make a good point that many people make a living leveling accusations of racism and/or monetizing white guilt. It's more than just a cottage industry these days. Thousands of jobs and billions of dollars are at issue.

Jack, I have no idea what "abolishing the police" would look like. Probably in practice it would mean that county sheriffs and state police would have to take over law enforcement functions in big cities...and then THEY would get the brunt of the locals' abuse!
