The Incredible Shrinking Impeachment Movement

Friends, you've already seen how polling on impeachment is going south, from the Democrats' perspective.  Well, lefties aren't dumb.  They know a loser when they see one.  Now, liberals are searching for the exits, and the obvious alternative to impeachment is censure.  It's been embraced already by one Democratic Congresswoman, and now the Chicago Tribune is pushing the idea.  When the mainstream media starts balking at impeachment, and even Adam Schiff starts getting shifty about it, you know the Dems have a problem!  Stay tuned.

  1. Dr. Waddy: OK. I read it. First, credible evidence was presented that William Clinton forcibly raped at the very least one woman and plausibly many more (those of us in the corrections profession know the type). He apparently tried as Governor of a state to force a governmental underling of that state who he held in leering, slavering and disdainful momentary desire, to perform an act which is by definition submissive and productive of shame, nausea and everlasting disgust on the part of a victim - someone not an enthusiastic participant. Then he lied under oath about it; he: the supreme law enforcer in the whole danged country. He denied a U.S. citizen a meaningful day in court, to seek redress for his grievous offenses on her, with his baldfaced, self seeking lies.An examination of his previous life reveal this as a pattern in his behavior and it was the object of Paula Jones' attorneys to establish this. And ANYONE, but, ANYONE thinks he was unjustly impeached of further tenure in the PRESIDENCY!? That speaks for itself and all who supported W. Clinton (Schumer etc) stand completely condemned and their histrionic and completely disingenuous displays in 1998 and any favorable reference to them condemn and completely discredit those who cite them in this present hurly burly.

The real America WILL take note of this as it reinforces a long since confirmed commitment to the view that the American left will employ ANY tactic it thinks promising, to destroy our country.

  2. Jack, you would know better than I -- does any evidence of Bill Clinton's guilt of rape/sexual assault exist besides the claims of alleged victims? Naive though I may be, I give Slick Willy the benefit of the doubt. That he lied under oath, however, is amply clear. I wonder why he was never prosecuted for that after leaving office?

  3. Dr. Waddy: Your misgivings are plausible. Clinton was convicted of perjury for his testimony on Paula Jones' charges and received slaps on the wrist.

No doubt, his victims were pursued with a tenacity motivated and enabled by the Clinton machine. Its director? Without any doubt, Hillary. Bill was, as always, consummately consumed by sensuous conquests.

Does any evidence exist other than that of his putative victims? I know of none but I do know that in civil cases attorneys for the plaintiff seek to establish a pattern of behavior analogous to that being actioned. In Slick Willie's case, this was abundantly available.

  4. Hmm. I'm still skeptical. We know Bill likes women. We know he's been unfaithful. That's a far cry from rape, however. Don't get me wrong -- I don't know him to be innocent. I just don't know him to be guilty either. Also, I have to beg to differ with you on the perjury conviction. He was found in contempt of court, paid a fine, and lost his license to practice law. He was never charged with, or convicted of, perjury. It's a fine distinction, perhaps, because everyone knows he lied in court.

  5. Dr. Waddy: Its not a fine distinction, in my opinion, and thank you for pointing out my error, which resulted from my failure to do thorough research. I'm sure he is an unrepentant liar in all settings but that is beside the point.

Being unfaithful from such as Hillary is understandable but his still insufferable self righteousness still excites my dislike of him. But most of all, I execrate his lifelong demonstrated belief that he is above all the rules because he is something special. I do still think it very possible that he is a forcible rapist but think your misgivings on that opinion to creditable and plausible.

  6. Fair enough, Jack. In my view, what really makes the Left's defense of Bill Clinton unendurable is the fact that his actions -- perjury and obstruction of justice -- were designed to frustrate the enforcement of the very same federal anti-harassment laws that he and his ilk championed. That he could look any feminist, or any woman, straight in the eye from that point on is a testament to his utter shamelessness.

  7. Dr. Waddy: Well, the radical feminist would say: "he stood for our values on a national scale and that's all we care about". Now they and their leftist comrades task a President Trump they deem intolerable because of personal faults. DENY them thereby their hypocritically expressed objectives!
