Friends, I'm sure we all wish nothing but the best for Iran's new "Supreme Leader", Mojtaba Khamenei! May his reign be as glorious as it is brief. All kidding aside, U.S. and Israeli strikes against Iran's leadership and high value military sites are going great, so much so that DJT claims that our "short-term excursion" there is nearly finished, but I must say what I haven't seen are mass demonstrations against the regime, OR any cities falling to the resistance, OR major elements of the security forces defecting to the opposition and pleding their fealty to the Shah, or Trump, or any figure of equivalent marvelousness. Long story short: the regime of the mullahs remains very much intact, and so the time for gloating has not yet come. President Trump, please take note!

We have good reason to dismiss criticism of this action from the far left/ Dems as simply reflexive, emotionally generated TDS and unrelenting determination to torpedo anything he does. Perception of consistent amoral bad will on their part is long since thoroughly demonstrated.

Dr. Waddy from Jack: Comrade Mamdani gave an apparently lukewarm proforma acknowledgement of the officers who reacted dutifully and almost instantly to the explosives incident outside his palatial mansion (which is paid for even by disdained Jewish and conservative NYC residents) but was vitriolically expressive about the "anti Muslim and 'racist' "demonstrators who were the apparent targets of the bomb throwers.

It has had so many "meanings", so many reflexively and mindlessly accusatory, intimidating and frankly, pretty obnoxiously presumptuous usages that it is bereft of creditable definition , though it does retain a derogatory cachet . So opposition to "Islamicization" is by definition "anti Muslim ", yes? Not!Though the demonstrators displayed a crudeness which , nevertheless ,far leftists deplore at their own hypocrisy (there is probably no obscene expression or offense that the far left would refrain or has refrained from using against elected President Trump, MAGA , the GOP, or America's essential Judaeo Christianity or America in its entirety) the anti Islamification advocateds are well justified in resisting an invasion of our culture by one which is of a far different cast from that which is at the very essence of American civilization. By invasion I mean attempted SUBJUGATION of our culture to one which is , simply, not ours.
One faction of Islam is very aggressive and atavistically intolerant of any with whom it is displeased. Its very displeased with Jews and Israel, even unto preaching and militantly advancing actual physical immolation of Jews and their noble land. Comrade Mamdani affords our still free country troublingly plausible suggestions of his affinity for that radical Islamist view. He recently hosted at the entire NYC public's Mayoral mansion , dinner guests of reported sympathy to Hamas and its inconsiderate treatment of Israeli babies. Uh , that does not bode well for NYC Jewish residents . How would minority residents have felt if George Wallace had been elected President?
Because America is America , most religions are welcome and freely practiced here. That almost universally hostile part of Islam which ,unlike the majority of that honored world religion which affords vital spiritual guidance and solace to hundreds of millions , instead seeks to do incipient parasitic subjugation and destruction of America, is most unwelcome and intense distrust of it and free expression of that is fully justified and undeserving of mindless automatic castigation. We cherish our culture and will not have it imposed upon or destroyed by a foreign invader. We are no different from any other country blessed with a constructive and positive view of civilization
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Comrade Mamdani apparently casually countenances the expression of viciously anti semitic views even in his all taxpayer paid for Kremlin. We know him to be a far leftist and he may well share the long time, well documented "united front" the "American " far left has with a radical Islam which despises it. If so he is completely lacking in moral authority to denounce the 'Islamicization " protestors especially in terms perhaps reflective of his own bigotry.

Its marxism is a catastrophically proven incalculable curse on any entity which affords it power. It sees the eventual subjugation of the U.S. as the key to its "inevitable" takeover of all humanity.

ReplyDeleteAnd the idea that no military action can be undertaken unless it's certain exactly how it will turn out, and when it will conclude, is patently absurd. All military ventures entail risk, and all of them produce their share of unpleasant surprises.
