Oh most wicked cosmic offense to all natural law and well worthy of stentorian protest. But gee, the Dems got a real prize anyway in their nominee for the august heights of the Senate, who should be all their hearts' yearn for, yes? He is obviously privy to Promethean enlightenment, for he asserts there are at least 6 sexes in humanity. Let him be acclaimed summarily as winner presumptive of the Nobel Prize for Political Correctness. And to this windfall they reflexively object?!
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Re the Newsmaker broadcast: Much Ditto; Iranians free to speak such heresy have assured us that the exhaustively regimented Iranian people are expecting us to help them break free. We have denounced the regime and encouraged the people to rise up. They did recently and 30,000 of them were "terminated'. They probably know that we are hoping for them to rise again and they pray for that to be backed by us by fulfilling our commenced onslaught on all of the regime's organized organs of coercion. We must not do them wrong and I think our President is of ironclad determination to do them right and of course do the MIddle East historic redemption from a doctrine of atavisitic hate and in doing so enhance our security too. They yearn for us to be once again "the flag that sets you free". They may rightfully discern in us our demonstrated ability to get along fine with Islam, domestically and in the world, since most of it apparently does not subscribe to the limitless antipathy shown by that faction which murderously rules Iran, fanatically seeks our demise and makes cynical and temporary common cause with "American" marxists.

But their prime tactic is to throw monkey wrenches into the gears and hope the flying metal shards hit something they want to hit. And consequent "aid and and comfort "to the enemy? Meanwhile in their deep, deep havens the latter day Persian mullahs explicate to this effect"Why these American heretics actually allow traitors to operate unhampered and suffer their press to celebrate it! Dr. Waddy from Jack: Newsmaker again: The Germans in WWII made terrifying use of monster tanks which rendered ours to veritable tinder boxes. But the danged things could only go 70 miles on a gas fill up. And they could be blown all to hell by the allies' dreaded fighter-bombers which freely roamed a mostly gas deprived Luftwaffe free sky. In the way they fuel starved the always terribly formidable Boche , our fuel facility wrecking bombers did pay an indispensable role in the victory over a truly fearsome enemy.
ReplyDeleteAlso, WWII bombers did not have the precisely aimed capabilities ours do today. Sadly, they probably unavoidably caused much civilian suffering in battle. I just learned that our troops in Normandy often encountered marked resentment and visible hostility from French who had been grievously violated by that bombing considered necessary to drive the Boche out of previously largely unscathed North Western France. That had to be morale damaging for the allies and the countries they eventually redeemed from German oppression. And maybe the hellish pounding the German population took from allied air hardened their resolve(?) But fear of their own SS and of the Red horde might also have compelled them to resist.
The very exemplar of a dominantly successful air campaign I think has to be the allied effort in Desert Storm. It reduced Saddam's ground forces to understandably debilitating viscerally paralysing terror. General Schwarzkopf's brilliant ground offensive then carried the campaign to victory. ( I think General Schwartzkopf has not received the credit he deserves for his consummate professional skill in this; for a Vietnam veteran like him it must have been a poignant reminder of what we would have accomplished there had the America doubters and haters and the Administration whiz kids not bungled it from above. )
