Friends, it ain't easy being a limousine liberal. I mean, once in a while, you might have to put gas in your limousine, and there's a small possibility that your gold card will be declined... Speaking of which, the Fourth Estate is INCENSED because some elite journalists at the Washington Post just got pink slips. I mean, imagine the temerity: Jeff Bezos thinks he can FIRE the stuffed shirts who make it their business to lead the "resistance" to Orange-Man-Bad day in and day out??? Outrageous! Like Stephen Colbert, these so-called reporters believe that their jobs are sacrosanct, because any refusal to employ them would be "censorship". They have, in other words, a God-given right (or it is goddess-given?) to fulminate at Trump, MAGA, "white supremacists", ICE, capitalism, etc etc. Well, I've got news for them: Jeff Bezos has every right to demand that his newspaper be a going concern, and he has every right to fire journalists who don't produce anything other than erudite propaganda. Having said all that, I'm sure most of these effete Trump haters will land on their feet, because the TDS machine tends to take care of its own. Pity, because I'd love to have seen some of these WaPo professional agitators working the checkout line at the Piggly Wiggly. A man can dream!

Dr. Waddy from Jack: Its a great day when the incipiently totalitarian anti American far left/Dems sustain such a body blow. Journalism(as it were these days)may not necessarily die in wokeness but this development gives great hope that the by definition viciously bigoted and vindictive woke have worn out their welcome and are seen by enough Americans for the commie dissemblers they are to warrant this stunning setback. Lets hope there will be many more for their detestable doctrine in this FREE country! They could teach the history of Marxism because perhaps that it is only what it will be in the foreseeable future.
ReplyDeleteOh some of these uberidealists actually think they are doing good but the radical cause they serve is thoroughly destructive, antidemocracy and anti sensibly regulated free enterprise and even the blessed prosperity it affords. They need to find a new line of work! Perhaps they could teach the history of Marxism because perhaps within a foreseeable future, that is all it will be!
Dr. Waddy from Jack: A few years ago a rather stereotypical far left /Dem Congressional candidate in our rural area reflexively directed the (she thought) automatically condemning accusation of "being part of the war on women" on to her opponent. She answered his measured and courteous denial " well, I know when I see a man throwing a tantrum".
ReplyDeleteShe picked the wrong setting for this presumptuous humbug. She was roundly hooted by the common sense audience in our down to earth area. She lost the election too; she could never have faithfully "represented" our area . We are thoroughly conservative in this area and we don't take to haughty leftists seeking to reeducate us.
I mention this because of your no doubt accurate prediction of fired far left journalists bleating censorship (ah,CENSORSHIP). That term is one of the many drafted into the radical lexicon of terms radicals have long since recruited to the sole service of their cause: eg. "discrimination", the nonsense I described above and the seemingly unlimited wealth of words appended by "ism" which they use unapologetically , freely and with presumption of automatic condemnation of any heretic enough to be accused thus ( until now. that is). But maybe, as in the example I described above , their imperious self righteousness now increasingly garners for them the scorn it has always deserved. They have overreached , way overreached and it may redound now to their final defeat.
So many good people have been misled into believing that far left dictates are imbued with fearfully unassailable truth. Close to three post war generations have been grievously compromised with this ideological, incipiently totalitarian filth. Yes FILTH: in books like Stalin: Breaker of Nations and Lenin's Tomb ,are recorded profoundly sickening physical details of the demonstrated onerous reality of the Marxist rule our "American" radicals have the unmitigated gall to offer this most, on balance (the only true measure), just and prosperous nation!
