Nothing to Hide

Friends, kudos to DHS, which has decided to require all ICE and Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis to wear body cams.  This will make it far easier to catch street thugs red-handed!

And kudos to President Trump as well, for playing nice with Colombia's President Gustavo Petro.  I mean, let's topple one leftist dictator at a time...  We've still got work to do in Venezuela, clearly!

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Ok , if law enforcement is enhanced and the officers not thereby subjected to the vicious personal savaging which of course characterizes the perfectionist far left's demands and tactics. Schumer's absurd call for officers to be readily personally identifiable is typical of the far left's presumptuousness and bad will.

But we'll have to expect not a wit of cooperation from the far left in return. Their doctrine has always been defined by unrelenting "struggle by any means necessary" for comprehensive surrender from the by definition evil real world and its abysmally ignorant common sense inhabitants.

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack : It is laughably ironic that the far left now finds itself constrained to defend the lawful (sorta)carry of handgun by a citizen. They are the people who would enthusiastically abrogate a right enshrined in the Bill of Rights to disarm all law abiding common sense Americans and leave them largely defenseless against the criminals these radicals excuse and exalt. By the way, I wonder how all the criminal lovers feel about this unspeakable crime continuing in Arizona . Surprise, surprise to them: THIS IS WHAT CRIMINALS DO - THEY VICTIMIZE HOWEVER THEY WISH!!

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: For those who "demand" (fur the luvva) that our Immigration Law enforcement human beings display full and obvious personal identification (including their very faces) to the good graces of demonstrators who openly advocate and sometimes demonstrate intent to work physical deterrence on them, let me suggest more redeeming causes: the better to signal your undoubtable virtue and your indefatigable determination to ,well, enforce it (if I might hazard the use of that "icky" word) why don't you launch a pseudo Crusade ( but do pardon my reference to the cross) to send our military into action without weapons! Why , how compassionate and equitable this would be and so very congruent with the uhh, "reasoning" which imbues your outlook on current issues, yes. You could also "demand" that our military post their names, addresses and those of their relatives unto the fifth degree of propinquity, on the most extensive possible modern media. It is only fair that if we dare to engage in combat with others, no matter their deserving, that we ensure even odds. Equity you know, demands such artifice.

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Say what we will about Marxism, it does seem to excel at establishing in its persuadees and converts a permanent emotional and mesmerizing hold.

In considering our gutsy NYC street player President's conference with a "Marxist revolutionary" , I am reminded of the "United Front " formed between the Chinese Nationalists and their Maoist opposites. It was cynical from the start and was predictably violated many times, culminating in the 1949 declaration of the "People's Republic of China " much against the will of the hapless Nationalists.

I fully trust our canny President to be fully cognizant of the counterintuitive nature of such negotiation and his realism in evaluating the limited product of this process. I'm sure our President was wisely guarded in his suggestions to this advocate of the proven most inhuman doctrine ever forced on human beings of what might try his patience and of what our reaction to it might consist.

You are right, we need to concentrate on Venezuela but if this undoubtedly tyrannical dictator with whom our President sat has any even animal sense , he may realize that he could be next , in good time, to be deservedly deposed by "the flag that sets you free'.

  5. Dr. Waddy from Jack: FDR and Churchill sat down with hellhound Stalin. Pres. Nixon shook hands with multitudes murderer Mao. They did what they had to do for their countries in this hard, hard world.

I disagree with you about Pres. Nixon shaking hands with Mao. Recognizing that mass murderer was the handiwork of the late Henry Kissinger. I won't belabor the subject here, but the U.S. should never have recognized the PRC. Never! This is just my opinion of course, but what has recognizing the PRC gained us?

  6. Ray from Jack: You may well be right on that but it appeared to Nixon and Kissinger, I think ,at the time ,that it was to our benefit. It had to have seemed bizarre to men who knew as much about monstrous Mao as they surely did. Nixon had a reputation as a shrewd diplomat but he may have deferred to Kissinger on this.

Churchill loathed and feared hellish Soviet communism , its inevitable threat to Western civilization and its dead hearted leaders but he was willing to do anything to save his country. He also realized that a reckoning with Japan was imminent and hoped that the Soviet Union's Eastern reaches might bear the brunt of Japan's outburst. From June '41 to Dec.7, Russia was Britain and the Commonwealth's only "ally". "Three in the morning courage " is as you know a maxim describing people who are willing to face danger under the most discouraging of conditions. Something similar but on a far grander scale was perhaps inherent in those who allied us with Stalinist Russia. Could we have won if they hadn't made that "expeditious" bargain with Satan's minion? Would the arms race have reached even more insane proportions, even war, if NIxon had not promoted "detente "? Its fascinating, isn't it, to have lived through history?

Speaking of Churchill, I know you will enjoy reading about him in John Lukacs book "1945: Year Zero" I mentioned the other day. I'm sure you have read much about him already, but I like the way Lukacs sums him up in thirty pages in a chapter titled "Churchill: The Chill of Old Age". Clearly I have always been enthusiastic about this book, and I hope you will like it too.

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Hey folks, want a laugh, I mean a real howler!? Consider the grotesque irony of the Clintons taking the oath should they actually show up at the public deposition they may graciously grant on well, whatever, (its all rock 'n roll to them) . I'd hate to be the one administering the oath; knowing the contempt this habitually deceitful couple have demonstrated ad infinitum for this "gesture" ,it would be an onerous role for a decent person. What would the subject be to which they would deign to testify? Oh yes , it has something to do with sexual peccadillos. Imagine that! Being that they casually disgraced our White House beyond measure by introducing that once tastefully considered subject into the nightly news about our "Co-Presidents, its par for their course. It will be grimly amusing to behold the imaginative subterfuges they will use while being presumptuously tasked in their imperious dotage. And undoubtedly there will follow Hillary's reputational hitlist of any who dare to contradict their hallowed testimony!

  8. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I just read an article titled The Problem With Making Every Election an Existential Threat by one David A. Drucker. He makes what appears to be a good willed argument saying that both sides do it and that its never true. He urges moderation on both sides but unconvincingly so, I think.

Let's consider 2024: for four years the"ruling" far left/Dems had purposefully unleashed a biblical scale exodus of completely unexamined illegal immigrants into the U.S. ,the better to advance their complete takeover. It would certainly have continued in the present term as they confidently followed up on their advantage.(Amoral expedition being their ever time honored tactic). Being that it was unlimited in actual operation it is reasonable to think they had no numerical limit to this invasion in mind. 30, 40, fifty million ? Whatevah!

Then there was the Dems apparently never satisfied ever dominating imposition of common sense offending woke dictation in as many cultural , societal and legal institutions as possible. They turned the administration of public education into a commissariat for the assurance of far left thinking in our youth. They forced our dutiful armed forces to be lab rats for looney far left social experimentation. They even invaded the restroom and the locker room with their absurdly counterintuitive demands for far left allegiance even in these sensitive locations. They encouraged and enabled vicious , sometimes lethal opposition to our police, border law enforcers and correction officers and put them in fear of their jobs should they violate one note of the contemptuous strictures mandated by radical administrators. As far leftists always do they tested our country's tolerance beyond endurance but they helped to manifest the astonishing rebirth of the most unlikely of all U.S. Presidencies.

Given their objective, empirically supported record , especially their frantically vindictive onslaught on any opposition , it is reasonable and probably vital that we fully recognize in them an ultimate goal of totalitarian domination ; yes , past and maybe intended future President Obama, "fundamental transformation" of a U.S. which neither deserves nor wants such comprehensive change.

The blame for the present bitter division in our country lies squarely on the America hating far left "revolutionary" mob which has since the mid '60s pursued a cynical ,forceful and unabated policy of changing our country into a totalitarian dictatorship in which an "enlightened " elite keeps an "ignorant "populace in forcefully deterrent thrall. They had already established such a swamp of bigotry and bad will in the American university until President Trump took them on and directed continuing righteous correction on them.

Moderation in the face of such proven incipient oppression is a guarantee of an eventual "Peoples' Republic of the Central Western Hemisphere" . Concerted and unrelenting opposition, certainly possible within the rule of law, must be devoted to disempowering , marginalizing and consigning these malevolent dreamers to the gutter. Until that is assured , every election could mark an irredeemable tip to the eventual triumph of the far left /Dem extremists in our country.

BTW, on the extreme right are the Nazis, a pitiful powerless and rightfully despised fringe group. But the extreme left has taken over one of our two most powerful parties and at least two of its believers have resided in our White House. No its not "same-same" on both sides of our warring polity. A fundamental gulf mandates a clear choice: a reinvigoration of common sense American verities OR a catastrophic journey into an utterly counterintuitive , murderous carnival

  9. Dr. Waddy from Jack: As soon as it was embraced as inarguable truth by the far left ,"human caused global warming" became yet another of their justifications for forced compliance by the unwashed. In NY state consequently, the one party far left/Dem dictatorship has banned drilling for the relatively clean burning natural gas which our state as much as floats upon. Continuing scientific doubt of the reality of their view is held by them to be abysmally ignorant, reprehensible and deserving of castigation and eventually, should the unelect not relent, legal hazard. They intend this oppression for the entire U.S. This is vintage far left stuff and its yet another unmistakeable warning of how extreme they intend to be "when" they take over. How much more proof do we need?!

American democracy and our prosperous economy are the antithises of the Marxist hooey so recklessly advanced by the "American" radical left which owns the Dem party. Our resolute support for those who defend these indescribably fortunate blessings are our guarantee of continued enjoyment of our beyond precious freedoms. Should we fail in this, regret would come too late. All over the world, the far left has demonstrated the murderous enthusiasm with which it secures its totalitarian rule. And remember , this time there would be no free America providing hope and support. These Stalins, Maos and Pol Pots know America is their, yes, EXISTENTIAL opponent , and their final barrier in their fanatic , lifelong "struggle" for world wide rule.

  11. Jack, I would second Drucker's analysis. By that I don't mean to dismiss the very real threats to American democracy and the constitutional order, BUT it's true that no one election could break the system. Eventually, there may be one election that truly is the last free and fair one, but that doesn't mean that that single election determined the fate of the country. The fate of the country is governed instead by our CULTURE, and that culture has been growing corrupt and toxic for years, decades, even generations. Elections are mere symptoms, from this vantage point. Ergo, I agree that we should not fixate on elections and election cycles, but rather play the "long game" of trying to alter the cultural landscape. In that arena, we're arguably way behind the Left, and that sends shivers down my spine.

  12. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Good points on your part. As I recall, Drucker did not address the possible alleviation of the grievous degradation of American culture.I think his main theme was "lets all just get along, we are all equally responsible for the current bitter division". I still disagree with that but your observation that we need to devote ourselves to redeeming our culture from the cynical coarsening of it - that works for me. I understand Turning Point USA presented at the Super Bowl halftime show (which I have boycotted for a long time ). That's a big change from the sneering low lifes who have been featured before and obsequiously allowed to debauch our beloved game before the world.

  13. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I stand corrected on TP USA's show , which was broadcast separately from the Super Bowl carnival, which was reportedly typically tasteless.
