The Dynamic Duo

Friends, I'm not sure exactly what's going in Venezuela, but I do know what just happened in Florida!  Donald Trump and Elon Musk sat down to dinner together!!!  Oh my.  The estrangement between the two 21st century titans was very big news in 2025, and it's thus very heartening to see them burying the hatchet at the start of 2026.  The combination of the world's most powerful and dynamic politician, and its richest and most innovative private citizen, is well nigh unbeatable, if you ask me.  Possibly it was always a bad idea to involve Musk in the day-to-day management of government affairs, but there ought to be a place for him at the collective helm of modern conservatism, if you ask me, as his role in promoting liberty, American exceptionalism, and technological progress is second to none.  Welcome back to the fold, Elon!  Lefties, you can have Margorie Taylor Greene.  Enjoy her apostasy tour to your heart's content!  We've got Trump and Elon, and good luck keeping your heads above water against that dynamic duo...

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Ditto and ditto again. Our public and private leadership has hardly ever been this good. (Think FDR and Henry Kaiser during WWII.)

How ironic: we empower Musk and the once creditable Dems esconse a Marxist exemplar over a world class city, all in the same week. It presents a good analogy of our polity: one side for freedom, the other for "collectivism" (as if after the 20th century the latter can be considered anything other than a smugly amoral and and catastrophic violation of human nature ! ).

  2. Jack, it strikes me that the Left embodies both "collectivism" and soaring egoism and entitlement these days. What a strange brew! The only consistency here is that, always and in everything, THEY get to decide who the good guys and bad guys are, and who will give and who will receive...because they are the chosen ones!

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Your description of what the left embodies pretty much sums up what Maduro is about. Maybe that is why the "American" far left so laments his dolorous present prospects. Their championship of him is truly sickening and eloquently affirms their appalling inhumanity.

Take my word as a retired prison staffer: jail is a crashing bore! Nuthin' like his precious palace. A commentator today speculated that he might have thought he was about to be incarcerated under the onerous conditions he casually mandated for those who vexed him back home. He is probably certain to find a just legality an astonishing experience.

One thing that particularly disgusts me about victimizers , aside from their viciousness, is their presumptuousness! He probably thinks himself entitled to his customary creature comforts and the intoxication of power. There have been so many of his monstrous ilk who have not had to face the reckoning which is surely to be his lot. I am so glad for those Venezuelans who have the blessed security in the U.S. to publicly celebrate his humbling and I admire the courage of those in that tormented country who have nonetheless gathered to express their joy at being freed of his consummate evil.

Let the sight of their gladness be a chastening experience for anyone who, yes, presumptuously ,maintains that Marxism in any form should ever again reign. Its outcome is invariably catastrophic; since history conclusively and with appalling repetitiveness confirms this conclusion it follows that anyone who now lauds or attempts to empower this inhuman doctrine, even if they are naive or truly ignorant, should experience civilization's intense disapproval and opposition.
