Friends, nailing any Democrat to the wall, legally speaking, is about as easy as beating him or her to death with a wet spaghetti noodle. DJT's, and the DOJ's, attempts at "retribution" against the Left have so far been a big disappointment, as we all know. Having said that, our old pal Bill Clinton just handed us a gift. He ignored a Congressional subpoena to testify about his association with Jeffrey Epstein. What that means is that he's in contempt of Congress, and he's essentially daring the DOJ to prosecute him. And why not??? The dastardly Dems did the exact same thing to Steve Bannon. Who wants to see Slick Willy behind bars? Now's your chance...
In other news, President Trump is assuring the long-suffering people of Iran that "help is on the way", but help of what kind??? A little lethal force, judiciously applied, might be enough in this situation to bring Iran's theocratic regime crashing down. The key might well be to make fruitful contacts in the Iranian military and police, and thereby to facilitate a coup d'etat. Are there cooler heads inside the government to whom we can appeal, and who realize that the time has come to rethink their allegiances? I hope so. Otherwise, the only way to transform Iran will be via a bloody, and possibly protracted, revolution.

Dr. Waddy from Jack: Well we certainly have had experienced of Clintonian "testimony". In a sense it would be amusing to see what casual subterfuges he would most assuredly use. And it would be a useful reminder to the country of the kind of "President" the Dems embrace.
ReplyDeleteContempt is an attitude which Slick Willy assumes his privilege. That is: contempt for the rules, contempt for the "chumps" who honor the rules and most of all rollicking contempt for a country which would allow itself to be flim flammed by a carnival huckster like him.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Whoever said the Middle East, aside from Israel, is a "sea of barbarity "was right. What terrible misfortune it is , for so many, to have been born there. The punishing climate and geography are only some of the burdens life there imposes on so many. Cynical dictators whose depraved lives have convinced them that POWER is ever all and who seek only personal voluptuary well being, along with doctrinal fanatics who offer ersatz hope to the virtually hopeless endlessly curse the region. Too, its history as a crossroads of empires has manifested cataclysm.
ReplyDeleteThe prospect of the region being graced by cooperation with Israel and an Iran delivered from futile neo medieval antipathy does offer hope for prosperity and modern civilization. It took force to reform Germany and if it is required to deliver Iran from its ongoing hellishness then we may well be best equipped to render it with precision and relative restraint.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: The snitful far left/Dems are shocked, SHOCKED at the prospect of a former President being brought as low as to have to do the bidding of a tribunal of his inferiors. That is, as long as he's their President. Of course a President who has treated them with less than the reverence they are owed is fair game for lawfare and unending personal savaging.
ReplyDeleteA particular concern the far left/Dems may have with Slick Willy is that his return to the public eye may reveal even more of the sordidness which is his custom. Now, they are trying to change their image to being right living "just folks" so they can flim flam their way to prevalence in the midterms and they fear having this profoundly dishonest fellow getting another public forum just now and showing them up for the spineless "chumps" he has used them for.
Oh yes many far left/Dems know this for the hypocrisy it is but its politics as usual for them. But some of them actually believe it is just to direct unrelenting castigation and legal hazard at ANYONE with the gall to oppose their irrefutable virtue. Slick Willy is thoroughly forgiveable; Trump was comprehensively evil and deserving of ruin; that's all there is to it. But gee, I'm sure they will be a lot nicer if they achieve the limitless rule they seek.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: A commentator on Fox today cited Civil War as a possible consequence of local officials ordering their police or National Guard to resist ICE. I don't think he is exaggerating , though I do not see in this touchy feely far left polluted horde the grim determination displayed by the Confederacy.
ReplyDeleteThe Minnesota National Guard can be brought under the President's command by his declaration of insurrection; Governor Walz had to have known this when he recklessly proposed using "his" National Guard to prevent ICE from , well, doing its job.
It is obvious that Gov. Walz and the Minneapolis Mayor are, ehh, emotionally venturesome types. And like many who give way to their so very personal urges, they may be realizing now what a risk they take. In openly encouraging the far left organized and dictated anarchists who are physically resisting ICE, an agency of our popularly, electively endorsed Federal Executive branch commanded, even unto use of serious force, by none other than the President, and supportable at his discretion by a nationalized Minnesota National Guard and even the regulars, they are on exceptionally thin ice. Gee, maybe those two are getting a little weak in the knees?
According to some legal opinion they are chancing extremely serious Federal criminal charges - FELONIES - such, perhaps, as sedition or worse. That may account for an obviously grudging offer today from Gov. Walz of mutual restraint in this confrontation. Oh how very conciliatory of him; not a hint of disingenuous fronting in this, oh no!
Deny it him , Mr. President deny him and any other Minnesota official who seconds him! They may just be playing for time in hopes that serendipity will yield them more volatile events calling for denunciation of our law enforcers, even up to the President. But then, Gov. Walz and the obviously ambitious Minneapolis Mayor may just be scared that they have foolishly tested the resolve of an extraordinary President for whom and for what their reflexive far left hatred has blinded them .
Our President should and I trust WILL, take all measures, including if necessary the arrest of bad willed and unrepentant Minnesota government executives, to ensure the continued, unhampered and lawful execution of our Federal Immigration Law in that misled state (which I cannot but think has many very loyal Americans in its rugged North Country setting). The timorous and disingenuous suggestions of equal responsibility for the present anarchy in Minnesota and their national manifestations ( all easily perceived as cynical Sophistry)is
powerful nonsense and should be disdained as such by the Administration. It is solely the product of antiAmerican far left determination to incipiently destroy our country and to leave it for them to "redeem". Our President is that detestable doctrine's worst nightmare.
Jack, I think we can safely assume that both Clintons would plead the fifth if they were to testify about Epstein, and that kind of public humiliation is the reason they refuse, despite the obvious legal peril. They may also be bargaining that Pam Bondi just doesn't have the "stones" to take them on. Maybe she doesn't?
ReplyDeleteJack, I personally don't agree that geography and climate are at the root of the Middle East's woes. Sure, they have challenges to overcome in that regard, but so does...the UK, Japan, Canada, Australia. I could go on. The Middle East was fortunate enough to be the cradle of civilization. If it's gone off the rails since, it ain't God's fault. It's human error.
Jack, it sure would be fascinating to see federal agents arrest a high-profile sitting Democrat mayor or governor... One wonders how quickly the federal courts would "spring" the arrestee. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times: we Republicans/conservatives have yet to prove that we know how to prosecute AND convict our adversaries...
