Never a Kind Word

Friends, as President Trump tours the Middle East, collecting trillions of dollars in new investment to boost the American economy and create hundreds of thousands of jobs, the lefties and their media allies give him zero credit, as usual, but, even worse, they've manufactured another "scandal" out of nothing.  Qatar has offered to donate to the U.S. government a luxury 747 for our use as Air Force One.  Trump haters are aghast, as always.  They say the plane is a "bribe", and that Qatar is icky.  Well, the plane is going to the American people, not Trump personally.  And Qatar may be guilty of all sorts of sins, but who isn't, and what do we have to lose by accepting their big, beautiful jet?  Nothing.  Trump's one mistake, if you ask me, was announcing that the plane would go his presidential library at the end of his term.  Realistically, that isn't his decision to make.  It would be up to his successor.  Assuming his successor is a Democrat, presumably the plane will be set on fire out of pure spite.  Assuming J.D. Vance takes his rightful place as Trump's heir and our beloved overlord, then Trump's wishes may be respected.  In any event, countries give things to the U.S. all the time, and we give much more to them, so why the kerfuffle?  Well, it's obvious: TDS.

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: TDS grows more absurd by the day. You would think that a movement in which common sense has some (?) role would have concluded by now that the stance is a BIG loser! It just makes MAGA more ornery. The "American" far left is in thrall to their emotions and its propelling them ever faster down the slippery slope. It blinds them to the fact that DJT is a canny street wise guy who knows how to play a frantic opponent like a trout on a line. Oh where is Slick Willy when he's needed to guide them in the preemption and disingenuousness which is their only hope?

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: One thing we can count on: DJT has his reasons for accepting this and we would do well to trust him on them. He has come through for us innumerable times.

This is definitely a bribe, not a gift, and Trump should not have accepted the plane. This would never have happened under the Clinton and Obama administrations.

  4. Dr. Waddy and Ray from Jack: Yes, but how did the Obamas , who never experienced the world of remunerative enterprise, get those costly dwellings, the means to save their daughters from the exalted DC school system and no doubt many other material benefits which obviously and venally cooled their "revolutionary " ardor? I understand they were transported to their frequent vacations in grand style too and to settings like Martha's Vineyard which later proved heretically and "shamefully" "inequitable" ; who , pray, paid for all that?

As for Slick Willy, he gladly accepted corporal "gifts" now didn't he, even while casually conducting national business (!)and then lied about it.TDS motivated supporters of such exemplars of "questionable" moral conduct have no credibility in tasking DJT for this ceremonial and open transaction. Do they comprend what constructive diplomatic purpose it may have served? The misgivings of MAGA supporters thereof deserve serious attention, though and ,I trust, will get it.

Oh my, Charles Schumer yet fecklessly manifests the imperious contempt which has guided him in power and out (as he now is to an extent most painful to him, since he is one of its causes). He thinks this incident a justification for stalling DJT"s judicial nominations and yes, he may raise some hob. But he is a dessicated husk of the dissembling far leftist he has been for ever so long it seems and his choice of this hill to fight on is a redeeming herald of his political debasement now. Why, he is under his own customary brand of sneering excoriation from the PUNKS in "his" party and this bizarre and pitiful segue, which should gain him nada, may be the beginning of his welcome departure from baleful influence in our polity.

  5. Dr. Waddy and Ray et Al from Jack: What possible benefit other than gangsterish "protection" can the materially prosperous monarchs of the UAE hope to gain from rendering militant Islam any support? Their realms display widespread wealth and comfort gained by "obscenely" capitalist enterprise. They have to know that if such as marxist allied putatively Muslim terrorists were to prevail their well coiffured heads would grotesquely roll.

If the U. S. offers them better prospects and credible guarantees against the murderousness of radical Islam, they may well seize on them, with customary gestures of amity such as what we are seeing now. Due to the spinelessness of past U.S. administrations, they have good reason to be wary of such American assurances but the very perceptive among them may recognize that they are dealing now with a very much unprecedentedly objective American leader.

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack: DJT returns from the Middle East with very tangible benefits for America in hand.Oh how very offended the neomarxist American left is that these benefits are in the form of capitalist monetary gain and from assertion of U.S. power against those who thought past U.S. guilt ridden pusillanimity was a given of which to take full, amoral, cynical and murderous advantage (eg. Hamas blackmail of fabulously wealthy Emirates which it would annihilate did it not require their wealth)).Conservative hero David Horowitz presciently wrote of this bizarrely united front some time ago in his book Unholy Alliance: Militant Islam and the "American" Left (my quotation marks). If he hasn't read it, still, our hombre President displays great understanding of its conclusions.

That 747 needs to go to Pope Leo.

  9. Dr. Waddy from Jack: "Seashells in the sand" how very poetic! My , my but the far left is reduced to laughable degrees of desperation now.

Let us assume that that image was deliberately broadcast. Surely Comey could not have been as ignorant as he doth protest(!?)What purpose could he or it have had? Is it a clarion call to the faithful to rise in indefatigable and final revolt against the unbearable? Why was it posted by a person as significant as the former head of the FBI? Does he suffer from undeniable OTC impulses? Did they drive him to torpedo Hillary's drive to totalitarian vindication in 2016? Does this grotesque gesture serve some pitiful far left tactic to slow down our dynamic President as per their brain roasted hatred for him? Is Comey but their factotum? "86/ 47"! Good gravy, what profundity!

Oh, who but the "Central Committee" knows? For us it offers a redeeming view of their tortured thinking just now and suggests further hyperbolic hugger mugger on their parts.

  10. Jack, I couldn't agree more: the Left's steady alienation from reality is the sharpest and swiftest arrow that we "right-wing nutjobs" have in our quiver. The sheer absurdity of so many anti-Trump narratives discredits even the narratives that are true, as, by pure accident, some of them are.

Ray, all gifts are given with some expectation of reciprocation, at least at the levels we're talking about. Did France think we might be grateful for the Statue of Liberty, that we might do them a good turn in response? No doubt. So what? Gifts don't obligate the recipient. They're gifts!

Ray, good point that a Pontiff needs an aerial conveyance that befits his nearness to God. As I understand it, in reality, past Popes have flown in chartered jets and didn't even own their own plane. Pure Bolshevism!!! Leo XIV needs to start making friends in Qatar.
