Friends, much like the lucky passengers on board the Poseidon, it behooves us to make merry and raise a glass...in this case, so we can toast 200,000 page views at WaddyIsRight!!! Hooray! How many of those views were from bots isn't important. Bots are people, too! I wish to express my sincere thanks to all of you who have paid attention to my ramblings, and especially to those of you who have actually rambled back from time to time. Here's to 200,000 more views, and to the veritable oceans of additional digital ink that we will spill -- together -- in pursuit of Truth, Justice, and the American Way!
Dr. Waddy from Jack:May your efforts be rewarded far beyond this remarkable point as you carry on in expressing intellectual objectivity and integrity gainsaying those who promote mindless, emotionally captured disingenuity. But. . . but: Poseidon was a vessel fated for disaster. . . . Do you suggest an analogy to our times?

ReplyDeleteYou need to consider going into politics.
RAY TO DR. WADDY
ReplyDeleteYou need to start posting some really important things, such as: "Sylvester Stallone accused of creating 'toxic environment' on 'Tulsa King' set. " Let's get with the program Nick.
The only other thing I could ask for is a photo of you in the uniform of a Nationalist (Franco) Army Officer during The Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939. Also, something with you dressed up as a member of the clergy would be nice. I always liked what Fr. Guido Sarducci wore.

ReplyDeletePlease consider this, as more and more Spanish-speaking peoples visit and decide to reside in GringoLand: All of your posts should have a Spanish translation of whatever you say. How about it?
RAY TO DR. WADDY
ReplyDeleteWhen you get time, would you consider a few words of praise for the late Spiro Agnew, and post a few of his quotes?
RAY TO DR. WADDY
ReplyDeleteWould you consider doing a "Waddy Study Bible"? Also, think about a career in acting.

ReplyDeleteAll of my corny (if you can call it that) "humor aside", the "Waddy is Right" site is certainly not boring, and I applaud you for your articles and kind responses (often undeserved) for some of my comments. Keep your views coming.
I'm not sure I understand why it is that more people are not posting comments on your site. My guess is that a whole lot of people are
more interested in other things. That's hardly a brilliant statement, but I suspect that (generally speaking), people are probably busy watching movies, playing games, and gambling on their smart phones, for starters. Maybe opinions on the state of the nation are depressing, and people need to be cheered up.
Thanks again for your blog.
With that said, thanks for the insights you provide on a variety of subjects.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: DJT could be in the main motivated by ego but it's hard to think of any personal compulsion which could carry most people through the "Sturm UND drang" (the inappropriate capitalization is not mine, it is that of this presumptuous device) his stand has brought him, especially at his time of life. I think it probable that he will manifest a grim determination to deal justice for himself, his family and Maga America for the vicious calumny and the extralegal "legal" onslaught done him by his characteristically totalitarian opponents on the antiamerican left. It is well taken of them to "feel" an abject fear of him and despair at the thought of his redemption.
ReplyDeleteWhat's that you say, Jack? The "Poseidon Adventure" ended badly for most passengers? See, this is why I need to watch further than the first ten minutes...
ReplyDeleteAsk and ye shall receive, Ray: https://www.bing.com/images/create/a-thin-handsome-blond-man-dressed-simultaneously-a/1-66173ccd8dc44abca299cba07152a550?id=UbW9Ne%2bYjTLlvV6hlfjc8w%3d%3d&view=detailv2&idpp=genimg&thId=OIG1.bUSjn_vM.OXSF_QqKe1V&FORM=GCRIDP&mode=overlay
Yes, he's not as handsome as me, but he's in the ballpark.
Ray, I promise I will very soon act in a one-man show delivering inspirational quotations from Spiro Agnew in Spanish. I want to thank you for the suggestion! I've already quit my day job in anticipation of the MASSIVE success I will enjoy...
Ray, I wish more people would comment too, but then again we should be careful what we wish for. Have you seen the comments on most news websites? There's a reason so many of them have disabled comments... We're very fortunate to have an all-star squad of thoughtful/witty commenters, as opposed to...the dregs of the internet.
Jack, I'd say you lack imagination of the sheer strength that egoism can assume! So do I, for that matter. We're not egomaniacs. That's probably why. I'm sure Trump wants "justice", and redemption, and revenge, and he may even be able to tell the difference between the three, but whether his reelection would effectuate any of them I'm not sure. Last time DJT won the presidency, the liberals...kept on being liberals, and patted themselves on the back for it even more vehemently. Why should this time be any different?

ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me about the perils of too many people posting on your site, or any site. You are absolutely correct. At the close of the day, the less people commenting is probably a blessing. Quality first.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: I think a far wiser DJT, chastened by bitter trial, would in restored power seek for personal vindication in the imposition of American common sense, much in the affirmative way Gov. DeSantis is doing it, on the viciously dreamy antiamerican left (eg. in the assurance of a long term lawful Scotus ). If he has that effect, whether or not outsized ego propels it is perhaps of no moment (?)
ReplyDeleteOh, I couldn't agree more -- DJT can be as egotistical and as personally flawed as he likes, IF he delivers the goods...
