Hannity Obsolete?
Friends, now that the airwaves are saturated with the honeyed murmurings of Waddy, is it possible that all other conservative commentary is...redundant and unnecessary? A fine question, to be sure, but we'll reserve judgement for now. All we know for certain is that the link below will take you to my latest appearance on WLEA's Newsmaker program.

Apologies, as before, for the imperfect audio. We're still working on a way to improve it.

Dr. Waddy: I'll try again. My adversarial computer wiped out my first attempt. I listened to your interview. Its encouraging to live in an area where conservative opinions are truly listened to, as they are by WLEA and the Olean Times Herald. I was glad to hear you propose a more objective consideration of Russian-American relations. Leftists will believe the worst of Russia because it rejected Marxism, nonetheless after a monstrous trial. It certainly is important that we get along with that rugged nation which wants us, simply, not to invade their backyard - Ukraine. If they tried to influence our election to bring about the election of a man they thought would be more likely to work with them pragmatically (they knew Hillary would make them the villains in order to distract attention from her radical domestic crusade)we should read our Russian history and think of 1962. Hannity: I know you were poking fun but Hannity is often used by leftists as an example of right wing vindictiveness. I've bade younger communicants consider: if you could have seen the broadcast media in the '70's and '80's you would understand why we tolerate the aggressiveness that such as Hannity and Rush project. Conservatives had NO SAY in those times. On the Stormy Daniels thing: Clinton was credibly accused of forcible rape and his accusers were subjected to harrowing threats very possibly orchestrated by Hillary. Paula Jones, through her lawyers, attempted in her civil suit against "Bill", for a crude advance he thought assured by his august office and his irresistable "charm" to establish a pattern on his part of unrestrained sexual aggression. The Lewinsky relationship was a key part of the effort to establish that pattern, a customary tactic in civil actions where a majority vote of the jury is sufficient to establish culpability. He lied about it and in doing so, perjured himself and betrayed his duty as the supervisor of the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the U.S. He was charged for doing this, admitted his guilt and was convicted of the felony of perjury. Leftists would ever have had us think that the investigation was for offenses against societal sanctions for sexual profligacy. It was not and they know it. Stormy Daniels, a woman publicly unrestrained in her sex life, is not yet a credible witness even to President Trump's "cooperation" with her. It is of course completely predictable that CBS would attempt to lend this story yet undeserved credibility in an attempt at revenge for "Bill" Clinton's deserved travails.
ReplyDeleteNaturally, I was only joshing about Hannity. I've always found him a bit canned and hyperbolic, but I wish him nothing but the best... And I fully agree that the case against Bill Clinton was all about perjury and the rule of law. Democrats tried to make it about sex, and to some extent they succeeded. Strange that they now wish to torpedo Trump with accusations of an "affair" twelve years ago. Everything but the kitchen sink -- that's the operative phrase here.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy: They'd throw the deep sink and the woodburning water heater too. I think they are desperate. Best way to combat them now is to focus unrelenting criticism on them, as you have been doing. Perhaps before long some major leftist outlet will go down and 1989 will be at hand again.
ReplyDeleteWhat would be interesting (and possibly fatal to the outlet in question) is if someone did a sting operation and exposed the MSM for knowingly spreading lies about President Trump. That would open up avenues of legal redress AND it would be devastating for their credibility. I have to believe many leftist journalists know that their conspiracy theories are bunkum, and they probably admit it privately...
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy; DITTO. By the way, in speaking of "younger communicants" I was not speaking of you. I should have said "communicants new to politics". I'm sure you've experienced the obnoxiousness of snooty leftists and understand why conservatives reacted with vigor.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, Jack. I WISH someone would allege that I was young... I'd take it as a compliment.
ReplyDeleteMy comment went poof into thin air...congratulations Dr. Waddy, that was a nice interview, my son and husband now know what you sound like.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big Hannity fan, I certainty don't wish him ill will, he just likes to drone on. As for the MSM, they sure are pushing the anti gun/Parkland young man David Hogg. That young man needs a talking too and perhaps his mouth washed out.I do think, though, that subject is wearing thin and people are seeing it for it is. I do believe CNN and Media Matters won't get much more out of this subject, at least one can hope, right?
For the record, Dr. Waddy, you are young. Much younger than I.
Music to my ears, Linda! Thank you, and I'm very flattered that you and your family listened to the interview.
ReplyDeleteI must admit, I've never heard David Hogg speak. That's the upside of paying no attention to cable news. I gather he swears a lot, and I gather the media thinks that anyone who criticizes him is engaging in child abuse, whereas he and his ilk can eviscerate whomever they please. But I suspect you're right: they can't go back to that well forever. To that I would add that angering/mobilizing the NRA crowd has always been a bad idea!
Perhaps, Dr. Waddy, Google David Hogg or get on Breitbart, Townhall and Fox News to get the real truth...yes, he curses, he started off being eloquent, and now, well, foul mouth, misguided youth (he is 17). I agree, not a good idea to anger the NRA, as a matter of fact, I do believe their stock is way up.
ReplyDeleteYou have to hand it to him -- he's squeezing all he can out of his "15 minutes of fame"... He's also got some major advertizers marching to his tune. Nonetheless, my life seems complete without David Hogg in it, so I think I'll keep it that way. :)
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, Dr. Waddy, smiles.
