Bad news, meatbags! You're officially obsolete. Not only is your intelligence, such as it is, easily outclassed by A.I., but now your speed and dexterity have been left in the dust by robots, as this story from China proves. Robots, in short, can now run faster, for longer, than humans. What can humans do better? Not much. We might still win a pie-eating contest, but that's about it. My advice: eat more pie and abandon all hope!!!

Dr. Waddy from Jack : I dunno; robots are ok by me. I mean, we have one roaming Mars and three outside the Solar System. But if some hideous thing like that one you showed comes clacking up to my door with my Amazon order I'll pitch a bucket of water on it and watch it discombobulate. Luddites of the world unite!
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Too, I'm forgetting about all the worker ant robots who swarm in these "No Kings" events. They have instincts , free of reason, which always drive them to certain actions. Those instincts respond to irresistable quasi electric stimuli and once triggered swing into irrevocable response. For the "No KIngs" critters it is no more than declaration of the despised of despised "trump". Of course this phenomenon is quite familiar in them, derived as it is from Marxist doctrine which much predates the present conflict. That is: all traditionally counterintuitive concepts are now become irrefutable truth. Once esconsed, this view confers a new kind of "freedom" - release from uncertainty, ambiguity and vexatious objectivity. Once so delivered one need never reason again but respond only to the feelings rewarded by unwavering allegiance to doctrine and its unimpeachable prophets; robotic behavior indeed!
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Woe for Virginia. Its occupation by far leftist northern carpetbaggers has turned it into a proto "Peoples' Republic". The no votes for far left/Dem redistricting were ahead until the counties subjugated by non Virginians were counted. With Comrade Spanberger now enthroned as Dear Leader , Virginia has become a model for how it would be for America should we ever recklessly put the now far left/Dems in charge. They must NEVER be trusted to do anything other than "fundamental transformation" of an America the traditions of which they bear only withering contempt and hatred.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet West Virginians are glad they bolted Virginia in 1861. Yes, history does matter.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: We in the extensive common sense regions of the People's Republic of NY state are "used"to the far left baloney imposed on us constantly by our one party state government. A telling example of this is the endless progressions of senseless regulations they force on lawful gun owners because, well, they KNOW its the law abiding who do all the "gun crime ".(eg. "oh sure, we'll 'allow' you to exercise your indisputable Second Amendment right to be armed but we'll also reduce the number of PLACES you can be armed to an absolute minimum") I'm sure people in our farming, construction, rural education and energy industries experience similar presumptuous dictation.
ReplyDeleteBut NY state is home to us and some of us are not going to let these NY City lala's drive us out! In the more rural areas this is a beautiful and liveable state except for the NYC radicals jerking us around; its alot like northern Pennsylvania just south of us. In saying this I'm not at all faulting those who quit this state for more American settings. For many its the only way to preserve their American values as long as they take c are to respectfully assimilate to local values in the places to which they move.
My point is to say to people who live in states where American values are still incorporated into state government: TAKE HEED! Look what just happened to Virginia! They elected a Governor who lied to them about her far left intentions. Now they may have forced upon them Congressional representation which is inimical to their culture. Perhaps their close proximity to DC and the far leftist subjugated East Coast megalopolis made their present dolorous situation close to inevitable. But what a terrible regime has been forced upon traditional, common sense, patriotic Virginians by these haughty outsiders and by the supposedly "moderate" but actually far left Governor the carpetbaggers forced on them.
In the great American interior, viscerally opposite to the America hating elites who subjugate the seacoasts; beware of the kind of people who have ruined Virginia and intend to impose themselves even on you. Colorado, Montana , even Wyoming , have felt the scourge of those who flee far leftist hellholes like California but often do not shed their inculcated far leftist values and presume to force them on the communities they invade.
Its still a free country and anyone can move where they want. But in areas which have attracted the gaze of weary potential exiles from suffocatingly crowded and politically oppressive states it is time for people for which these havens are home to politically organize and mobilize. Prevent such newcomers from forcing their ways on life on you! Prevent those among them who arrogantly seek to comprehensively IMPOSE their values from doing so.Believe me, for free people like yourselves , should you be subjected to the incipiently totalitarian governance we endure in places like NY , California and the seacoasts it will be a profound shock to you. Take democratic action to defend yourselves ! Make it clear to such newcomers that they are welcome but ARE NOT welcome to try to take over. Many people from liberal settings have been acculturated to think their ways are irrefutably superior.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: As a NY state subject I think that in common sense American states that two resolutions would , if followed , go well in keeping the America hating far left from taking over your state. First: vote, every time. Second: never vote for any "Democrat" at any level no matter how local; they are all beholden to the radical incipient totalitarians who have cuckooed the once loyal now far left/Dem party. Its entirely possible to be reduced to a subject, not a citizen, in America itself. In states already subjugated so, radical state governments , increasingly adherent to the Marxist "Democratic"Socialists of America, honor the Constitution only as much as they "feel " like it and they routinely and openly violate federal immigration law. They would gladly do this and infinitely more presumptous "fundamental transformation" to your state and to the whole country if we don't see them and politically oppose them for the threats they are to ALL we cherish. Right now they are on the march in our country; once again they think their complete dictatorial takeover is inevitable. Look at NYC, Seattle , Chicago, CA, NY, MIchigan and the especially shocking dominance and immediate far left transformation which has overtaken Virginia. The proof is all there and its still mostly just a hint of what they intend for an America they loathe.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Well I see Comrade Governor Spanberger has received a right old setback in Virginian state court hard upon her landslide 3% triumph in the vote to redistrict her state's Congressional delegation to her ,ehh. preference. ; her precocious game to reward the nation with a rubber stamp far left Virginia U.S. House delegation has been declared unConstitutional in an apparently still Virginian state court. Now that's important to Comrade Spanberger, she may well need them in Nov. '28; might be a close call against JD. She's going to have a hard time repeating the amoral flim flam she did on Virginians, in BSing them about being a "moderate" . The nation will be thoroughly reminded of it and of her summary renunciation of it upon her Gubernatorial inauguration.
ReplyDeleteVirginia state appellate judges at both the initial and final levels are elected by the General Assembly of their legislature. I understand that Comrade Spanberger has a potentially obsequious state legislature at her command but perhaps it has not yet had time to reduce the state's appellate courts to far left rubber stamp status. So she may face the most painful of offenses for a far leftist: insolent denial of her whim!
A former Virginia Attorney General opined today on Fox that the case for certifying the redistricting vote is riddled with presumptions violating Virginia's Constitution. "Oh, what Constitution ?" That is the customary far left riposte attitude. "Oh? So sue us!" That is their time honored follow thru.
Then there is that pesky U.S. Constitution , which the "American" far left "respects" only on compulsion., but which would land the Virginia radicals before a disagreeably lawful Scotus. The radicals' emotionally dominated psyches fairly slaver at the prospect of someday replacing that "outdated and unjustly originated " document. They sneer at the fact that it is probably the most brilliantly conceived and proven compact in in the history of democracy. But it would avail them nothing to assert this before the presently sitting Scotus .
Jack, it may still be an obsolete and puny human walking up to your front door to deliver your packages, but all the REAL work of manufacturing their contents, boxing them, shipping them, sorting them, etc. was done by machines, lest ye forget... Take that, lousy mortal!
ReplyDeleteJack, it's disappointing that Virginia approved the Dems' dastardly referendum, but actually the anti-gerrymandering crowd, which in this case was the red crowd, did surprisingly well. It's probably the best showing for Republicans in any election so far this year, given that Virginia is now mostly blue. This could give us a ray of hope for November...
Good point that a lot of currently blue states only got that way because of domestic migration. Alas, that doesn't make them any less blue. A lot of these migrants, moreover, are quite affluent, which strikes me as significant, because affluence is now a risk factor for progressivism. If only Virginia had stayed impoverished and inextricably SOUTHERN, it's redness would be beyond question. Oh well.
For what it's worth, you shouldn't write off Michigan. That's still a decidedly purple state. Not only did DJT carry it, but we control the lower house of the legislature, and most of the state's Congressional representatives are R rather than D. Michigan is fairly analogous to PA, I'd say.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: MIchigan; the opinion of an astute and articulate commentator like you is worth much, I stand thankfully corrected on that state.
