Friends, I know a lot of you are focused on the SAVE Act, which you presume might somehow "save" America. That's pretty unlikely, since the chances of its passage are very low, and in any case no "election integrity" measures passed to date in any purple state have made it any less, or any more, purple. Be that as it may, what might findamentally alter the landscape of American politics is today's Supreme Court decision, which will make it much harder to gerrymander on the basis of race. Up to now, Supreme Court decisions have essentially mandated such gerrymandering in favor of racial minorities, who have had what amounts to a "right" to be represented by someone of their own ethnicity. This is a tremendous boon to Democrats, needless to say, who want as many black and brown Congressmen as possible, and who view these minority Congresspeople as their most reliable servants -- almost as their personal property, as it were! Well, allowing districts to be drawn based on political rather than racial considerations will mean, basically, far fewer minority-majority districts, especially in the South and in major urban areas. The mid-cycle redistricting that we've seen in recent months could pale in comparison to what we'll see in the weeks and months to come, therefore! Republicans could conceivably net dozens of seats from this change. Now, as usual, it isn't quite clear how far SCOTUS is prepared to go in ridding us of racial gerrymandering, but this decision is a VERY hopeful sign! I'd say the chances of a Republican-controlled House of Representatives after January 2027 just went way, way up!

Dr. Waddy from Jack:I gotta blat about this first ; its outrageous: Reportedly many school districts are celebrating May Day and granting students leave to engage in civic activism on this traditional day for far left "revolutionaries" to strut, goose step and pontificate. Apparently some unionized teachers are demanding time off to do obeisance to exalted Marxist virtues.
ReplyDeleteI presume (maybe too presumptuously) that such activities are not mandated at some "progressive" "public schools but , taking this reckless "correction" of our children into account it might not be surprising if they soon are.
Bless me for a fool but I seem to recall pictures and accounts of brutally regimented Soviet, Chinese and North Korean masses turning out for , well, massive public demonstrations of reverence for those who have reduced them to serfdom, on May Day. And of course they were and are treated to the redeeming sight of endless ranks of the goose stepping forces which ensure their allegiance to their Dear Leaders. Oh and please ,detached "American" apologists for Marxist totalitarian monsters, don't tell us that May Day is the day for exaltation of the "workers of the world " . Marxist thugs have been nothing but a curse to blue collar people.
So what impositions might we soon expect from those educators who embrace the garbage they were fed in those of our teachers' colleges which have surrendered to radicals? Schoolwide broadcasts of the "Internationale" or "The East is Red" at these joyful May Day commemorations ? Perhaps readings from Mao's little red book? "Encouraged" donning of the red scarfs of the Soviet "Young Pioneers" or the Chinese "Red Guard". How about eventual regular first period "struggle sessions" to identify and confront the defining evils of America and savage anyone who disagrees?!
Too much ?People of common sense know May Day to be the world commie festival of festivals. Within recent memory, who could have imagined any American public educators foisting it on kids?! Its happening and what more does it portend if we countenance it? It has nothing to do with the free speech the far left so disingenuously cites when it is challenged ; marxists abominate freedom of expression because it reveals the truth of their fundamental dictatorship. If this were 1917, people of good will might reasonably consider marxism's stated intents as worthwhile. But we have had 109 years of its hellish reality in power paraded before us. And some American nominal educators (actually indoctrinators), yet persist in championing it in the classroom ,the school auditorium and even the community!!! If your district is doing it , its time to go to your school board and raise hell! These far leftists are just like the criminals they exalt; they will do ANYTHING they can get away with and without being confronted they will do their best to make of our kids obsequious commie automatons! Its been happening in our "universities" for decades and it now has established an expanding beach head in our very elementary and secondary public schools. Let these May Day celebrations stand as unmistakeable proof of this.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Back in 1964 Hubert Humphrey breathily assured America that "this Civil Rights Act will not give rise to quotas and mandated measures requiring equality of results". We now know this to have been an unfulfilled promise from a man of good intent. Affirmative Action , which denies equal opportunity to hapless members of "unprotected' classes who may not bear individual responsibility for racial oppression , we now know was inevitable. The plethora of case law construing the statutes codified out of that act is a prime example.
ReplyDeleteWhat is also inevitable was that an America which has painfully, ever since 300,000 Union troops died in the Civil War , yes in fits and starts, progressed toward racial justice. The conviction that nobody should suffer plainly stated official barriers to access to the benefits of American citizenship and residence is almost universally embraced in America. But extension of these protections to guarantee equality or superiority of outcome, inconsiderate of the rewards available to most
who live positive and constructive lives in our dynamic economy and our , yes, proven "diverse" society, are decisively unpopular. And the reaction to the persistence of this injustice has led inevitably to the election of Presidents who appoint Supreme Court Justices such as those who are in the majority now.
America IS NOT going back to the days of officially countenanced or enacted racial injustices. Being wronged because of one's race is a legally honored reason for seeking legal relief . But it is also affirmed now as a factor which may not be considered in official policy making such as Congressional districting. Let personal MERIT be the main determining factor in one's access to the myriad benefits available in this dynamic democracy and miraculous economy. And let those heavily invested in perpetuating an apparently limitless perception of victimhood be discredited.
". . . nobody should suffer plainly stated official barriers to access to the benefits of American citizenship and residence, excepting those convicted of crime, . . . ." Jack
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: So: the harbingers of the "worker's paradise" in the People's Republic of America swarmed today , like the worker ants so many of them are , in myriad locations. Fox reports that that approx. two billion was spent on organizing this "spontaneous"rising of oppressed America on this May Day. Why, Lenin would have approved.
ReplyDeleteApparently those grimly determined America haters who led this urged national abstinence from work, school and shopping. Gee, I think this was once called a "general strike" and was used to bring down governments and "fundamentally transform " lands.
Why, by jinko its been a long time coming , I ain't BSing! I saw why first hand today when I sampled the abundance in our town's supermarket, saw all the privately owned late model cars and trucks in the parking lot and drove past all the privately owned residences in our "palatial "burg. Yessir, can't get much worse than it is in this U.S.!
But gee, I see these ardent demonstrators today openly supporting , well, far left groups like the "Democratic" Socialists of Amerika , "Answer ", Code Pink and others who bear our country only the worst of intentions. They think that reimposition of the most inhuman doctrine ever to plague humanity, this time in our very country, is the essence of justice. I'm sorry our country doesn't meet their exacting standards and expectations for what they think is reachable human perfection; maybe they would feel better if they took a pill now and again.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Why, redoubtable MSNBC reports today that the glorious May Day expectorations today were outgrowths of the "No Kings" movement.
ReplyDeleteHmm: I believe the No Kings brains and their brainless worker ant armies are expressing revulsion at the authoritarian convictions often manifested by royalty and which they "see" reprised under "trump!" But, ehh, it seems the extreme authoritarianism historically guaranteed by the Marxists who organized them and who have since expanded their movement to that of one attempting a typically "revolutionary" general strike: well that 's just peachy with them.
Of course Marxists have a long history of preempting existing American organizations and phenomena like labor and especially public employee unions, the American academy, our largely debauched entertainment industry( though not its improvement; its way too useful in fomenting degrading disorder), the once "mainstream" news media, some unelected state and federal bureaucracies , big time sports, elementary and secondary public education, some corporate boardrooms , the legal profession now unto even senior judgeships ,even our military and law enforcement and within the last thirty some years , our White House and one of our two most important political parties . Why naturally they motivated and then mobilized the most vicious castigation of a President ever, to their now 60 year fanatic effort to destroy the America they hate .
