Well, Trump has done it again! He's inked another trade deal, this time with South Korea, that will expand U.S. access to a valuable foreign market as well as earn billions in additional revenue for the Treasury. Bravo! In recognition of Trump's awesomeness, South Korea's President Lee presented him with the nation's highest award, the Grand Order of Mugunghwa, which comes with a nifty necklace and a golden crown! Ergo, if kingship doesn't work out for DJT in America (perish the thought!), he can presumably lord it over the Koreans whenever he wishes. It's good to have a Plan B!

In other news, the Fed has lowered interest rates once again, which is helpful, but the economy and especially the job market remain troubled, or so at least the MSM would have us believe. My guess is that, for citizens and legal immigrants, as opposed to illegals, the job market is humming along just fine, which is impressive given that AI and robots will soon make all of us obsolete.

ReplyDeleteWell, it ain't happening! Matter of fact, the economy has benefitted by President Trump's policies (notice I didn't say "management "). As a canny businessman he knows the best thing a President can do is step aside, open doors and let a relatively free economy propelled by (oh heavens forbid) human acquisitive nature,hold forth. Yes, he is responsible for foreign relations, including tariffs and he is bringing home the bacon in favorable consequences for his "America first" stance in that regard.
We all know, because history, especially the laboratory of the 20th century, more than affirmed that completely government run economies are catastrophic failures. We know that the "American" far left is blind to this murderously proven fact: "oh they just didn't do it right; give us another chance and we'll get it right this time. Oh , those 100 million dead, myriads by starvation? Well, that's how it goes you know. And in Amerika, if the economy is not working for you, its solely because of "fundamental transformation" vulnerable injustice."
Yes, in the early 20th century we took truly democratic (not vindictively punishing "democratic " socialist measures ) to curb the rougher edges of capitalism but we refrained from the wrong headed "fundamental transformation" still intended by the Marxist rump generously tolerated in our still politically free country.
Our canny President, unencumbered by Doctorates granted by those "universities" which have shamefully surrendered to far left totalitarian dictate: he has acquired in his extraordinary career a visceral understanding of this truth and an unapologetic resolve to act upon it for the benefit of an America for which his ascension is a historically and incalculably fortunate happening.

He is enmired in the Dantesque "slough of despond" over our country's descent into measureless Trumpian degradation. If this goes on , he prophesizes, "we won't have a fair election , we'll have a Putin election "(at least that's what it sounded like in his lugubrious hugger mugger).
