Friends, part of Donald Trump's mission is to Make America Thankful Again, and I must say it's working as far as I'm concerned. I'm thankful that we conservatives have a future in this country again...a bright future! I'm thankful that wokeness is in retreat, and that Republicans control the White House, both houses of Congress, the Supreme Court, and therefore most of the levers of political power. I'm thankful that our economy is expanding, our markets are soaring, and we are at the forefront of exciting new industries like artificial intelligence, robotics, and more. I'm thankful that our borders are finally secure, and that illegal immigrants are leaving America by the truckload. I'm even thankful that the mainstream media is occasionally facing accountability for its relentless campaign to derail the Trump Administration and the MAGA movement. Most of all, I'm thankful that America has its groove back, and that the Left's sophisticated efforts to abolish our competitive two-party system, via censorship, intimidation, and lawfare, failed miserably. Oh, I'm thankful, all right! And you should be too.
Here's one more thing to be thankful for: my latest article! It's an analysis of how buoyant the Trump economy has been, and how detached from reality the Left's economic pessimism has become.

We who have an interest in history know how unimaginably fortunate we were to have won the world's lottery by being born in this almost fantastically prosperous country and to the blessed well being it affords. We know that there are Americans who would destroy it but that we have realized a miraculous revival of faith in our imperfect, yes, country. Much of this inheres in the all unlooked for advent of a courageous and unapologetically America loving President who has fully engaged the ingrate, destructively perfectionist America haters.

Dr. Waddy from Jack: FDR's famous declaration is said to have consoled a country which was in the midst of VERY VERY real economic catastrophe which understandably generated enervating and paralysing FEAR. But did they submit to Marxist tyranny? Not!

What powerful nonsense they use their obsequious MSM to foment in their unrelenting effort to deliver us from the imperfection they so loathe. Their expectations are grounded in an unknowable "perfect"future which Marx told them to consider inevitable and for which murderous Lenin bade them wait no longer; "force it now!" he exclaimed. Benighted millions still follow them even in an America blessed with incalculable historical God fortune and well being.

I think only our idealistic country would tolerate in its national legislature a person who so castigates her host country. Our President is justified in noting that her native land is anarchic. So we give her haven from that , we even give her a well remunerated post in Congress and all she can do is dump on our country!

But if the Dems take the House she could end up with much influence and perhaps even executive power. Its all part of what my high school "Problems of Democracy " teacher termed "the democratic wager" and sometimes it can take a disturbing turn. I wonder if there is any chance of a loyal American unseating her in '26?

"The President has of course been the recipient of automatic far leftist castigation (using their tired old assumed automatic condemnations of "racism" - a term utterly discredited by their hypocritical overuse and misuse of it and their infinitely expandable lexicon of such "isms" for their customary solely emotionally propelled indictments) for his announced pause on admittance of third world emigres .
ReplyDeleteAmerica has belatedly produced a President who does not give a tinker's damn for the far left's characteristic demonstrated power to broadcast "moral" and incipiently totalitarian condemnation of anything and anyone which or who contradicts them. I'm his age and I can guess that part of his confidence derives from the fact that they cannot threaten him with long range discreditation. Lacking that concern our President may well see himself as free from consideration of the future sanctions the "American" far left promises to opponents of its inarguable justice! Besides, he's an hombre and his conduct under the detestable lawfare onslaught to which he was subjected in his interim, proves him a very gutsy guy. The far left everywhere thrives on intimidation and they just cannot get to this guy!
Jack, I would think the ONLY chance of unseating Ilhan Omar is if a Democrat challenges her in the primary. But if anyone does, I wouldn't like their chances. She's a highly accomplished Trump hater, and isn't that the only qualification that matters in a Democratic primary?
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: It is at the very least a necessary prerequisite for good standing in the far left/Dem party and its supporters. In some settings it prompts instantly reflexive and emotional castigation of anyone who dares to express a positive opinion on DJT or anything he does.
ReplyDeleteWe are a bitterly divided country and that may bode the dissolution of our country at some point. The solution is the discreditation and disempowerment of the America hating far left which has cuckooed the once loyal Dem party and the restoration of the prominence of common sense in our civilization and consequent gratitude for the fantastically good fortune of living here. Unjustified fundamental militant antipathy to American civilization became a major factor in our polity in the politically insane '60s . Though it has been dealt staggering setbacks by a President who knows them for the incipient Marxist totalitarians they are, their final defeat is still contested.

The far left /Dems , with their longtime devotion to the use of "any means necessary": uhh, actions DO have consequences and when you take on an hombre like DJT that maxim is affirmed. ReplyDeleteYes, the midterms are 11 long months distant but they will surely come upon us with the immediacy of a democratic country's stand against incipient totalitarianism.
What do we know in the blessed U.S. of the unimaginable evil of which our Marxist rump is capable should we ever foolishly and slothfully allow it to prevail? What do we know, aside from dry historical accounts we can dismiss as soon as we close a book or turn off the History Channel. We need to rise to this demanding occasion. These people mean us all harm!
"Surely those fanatics cannot invest America itself." Marx maintained that communism would prevail in highly developed Germany and Lenin urged, with Hitlerian murderousness, that the process be speeded up ("after all its inevitable, why wait?") and applied with inhuman dispatch, ANYWHERE it might succeed. The very U.S. , the bete noire of expansive world communism is , astonishingly, yet the object of its most sincere effort of subjugation.
We must put our faith in this reality; we must despite its fantastic aspect, its seemingly unreal reality. Our country actually harbors a very well motivated internal faction which has advanced since the '60s its intention of destroying all we hold dear, in order to impose its proven evil Marxist dreams on us all One of the possibly decisive adversarial meetings of this conflict looms in 11 months. The seminal Trump administration will be in office two years beyond this and we must be resolved to prevent it being hobbled by the murderous, nevertheless fanatic intent of our country's far left/Dem rump.
Jack, I think we have to ask ourselves: what would it take to permanently discredit and disempower the Democratic Party and/or the political Left as we know it? Unfortunately, my answer to the question has little to do with the objective reality of the threat that they pose. What matters instead is the perception of that threat, and how widespread the perception is. The slow turning of the media and social media to the right, and away from establishment verities, has breathed life into the GOP and MAGA, but it hasn't even come close to finishing off the Left, for the very simple reason that a vast and resourceful media, social media, entertainment, and educational apparatus still supports it. I feel, therefore, that the only way to lastingly disrupt the Left's sway is to do severe damage to that apparatus. We are making some inroads in all the relevant institutions, but those inroads could be temporary, and social, political, and economic leaders could revert to (leftist) type very quickly, if they felt that Trumpism was on longer in the ascendent (which they may feel already). So, unless Trump and his minions can find a way to deliver a long series of gut punches to these subversive institutions, I fear permanent victory will remain a pipe dream.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Maybe permanent resolution of this bitter division will in the long run be unattainable and we will persist indefinitely in mutually antagonistic dialectic, maybe until some unanticipated development like the rise of DJT seals the deal for one side or the other.
ReplyDeleteBut if there is a way to end the still astonishing hold this proven inhuman doctrine has in, of all places, America, you have described it. They will continue to subvert as long as they have the means to do so and taking back the institutions they have so deeply compromised probably will be a long haul, with no assurance of success.
America has made exciting and largely unlooked for advances in President Trump's present term; perhaps more encouraging surprises are in store. Perhaps we can bring the far left/dem monstrosity to a critical mass of frantic outrage and cause it to fatally overreach . The detestable action of the seditious six may herald an increasing tendency in that direction for a fanatic mob which is tormented by frustrated emotion.
