Friends, in the wake of a despicable, murderous attack on National Guard troops patroling Washington, D.C., President Trump is promising some sweeping changes to our immigration system. The perpetrator was an Afghan asylum seeker, you see -- a former CIA employee who was admitted into the U.S. under the auspices of the Biden Administration. Trump has declared that all green card holders from 19 countries will be put under review, that no more asylum requests will be processed until proper vetting can be guaranteed, and, most importantly, we will have a "permanent pause" on all migration from "Third world countries". Can the President of the United States really do all these things? Well, we're about to find out. Of course, the flow of legal and illegal migrants to the U.S. has already shrunk remarkably since Trump took office, so further diminishing these numbers would certainly seem like a job in Trump's wheelhouse. All this comes at a rather propitious time as well, since a slackening job market means we have little immediate need for more foreign labor.

In other news, Trump has announced that he has "terminated" all of Joe Biden's executive actions signed by autopen. Would this include the long list of pardons issued by Biden in the waning days of his presidency? Now THAT would be interesting...
Finally, this week's Newsmakers interview is, as you would expect, a doozy, covering a wide range of topics, including the Epstein morass, the decline and fall of MTG, the scandalous sedition recently espoused by six members of Congress, the evolving relationship between DJT and Zohran Mamdani, the dismissal of the charges against James Comey and Letitia James, what can be done about rogue judges, the resilience of the U.S. economy, the railroading of Jair Bolsonaro, and more!

Dr. Waddy from Jack: Re the latest Newsmaker broadcast: I completely agree with you that the video urging service members to disobey orders was "profoundly wrong". President Trump's abrupt verbal overenthusiasm at times is one of the imperfections we must endure (not without criticism) in this great President. He did mitigate the most extreme part of his initial comments on this very disturbing act.
ReplyDeleteI think the perpetrators of this infamy should face serious DOJ and Military investigation and consideration of the charge of sedition and/or relevant military crimes. Their's was an egregious offense and aside from legal hazard they also deserve intense public castigation. They chose the wrong President against whom to direct such disloyalty, one who can be counted upon for unapologetic direct action. There are legitimate means short of such fatuous overreach to disagree with as significant an effort as our President's widely welcomed onslaught on criminals. Under the apologetic leadership to which we have been subjected in the past they might skated on this but not with this hombre at the head of the , after all, Executive Branch!
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Newsmaker continued: I agree with your assessment of the President Trump - Comrade Mandami meeting. They both will of course keep on keeping on and that promises much conflict. So be it! Marxist oppression of our largest city must be fully resisted and who better to lead it than our America loving President against these very reasonably termed incipient totalitarians who have the crust to actually attempt to invest our very nation! Marxism, the plainly obvious doctrinal motivation of the "Democratic " Socialists of America, which flaunts a democracy for which they bear only the most withering contempt, is absolutely condemned by world history and deserves NO reprise, none ever, for the sake of humanity! How terrible it is that there are Americans who actually intend to impose it on our free nation and how very justified America is to resist it with vital resolve!
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Newsmaker continued: I do not advocate anything other than legitimate legal authority (which includes solid evidence) to be used in the indictment of our ridiculous ,shameful and childishly vindictive NY state Attorney General. That being very apparent in her indictment, which probably has only been delayed awhile, I think it very just and redeeming that she be subjected to the legal hazard she so casually and fatuously misused her office to visit upon our now redeemed President. Let it impose the worry and disgrace which attends such dishonor upon her and others who worked cynical and detestable lawfare on a man the American electorate subsequently decisively elected to our highest office.
ReplyDeleteRe: rogue Judges who casually and presumptuously , with dominant political and doctrinal prejudice , rule in contradiction of the elemental principles of the American legality which empowered them: I understand that the sanction of consequent legal discreditation of their rulings is of much concern to most Judges. It can focus permanently documented disgrace on them, especially in the deservedly respected legal profession.
So if as you noted , the percentage of thus unprincipled law making appellate Judges is reduced by redeeming American Presidents and Congresses, then the chance of these far left "Critical Legal Studies" inspired types being shamefully rebuffed is increased.
Statutes aimed at removing Judges who obviously disdain our gradually time honored evolving (so because our system enables it)political and legal traditions, could be misused by a future far left Administration and/or Congress . Let us resolve that such subjugation will never be our lot!
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Newsmaker continued: This Epstein humbug (from the party which has never condemned amoral Slick Willy) is in some ways comparable to Russiagate and the far left appears unable to conceive any tactic far from it. Let them foolishly persist in proving themselves unendurable to an America perhaps far more sturdy than that they have in the past presumed.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: I know very little about economics; I simply rely on the Dow to show me how its going and its in the stratosphere.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, Brazil is a banana Republic and it provides us a sobering example of how unfettered lawfare can be used for political oppression. That example helps to discredit those who maintain that President Trump is engaged in lawfare against those who thereby oppressed him during his interim. "Fascist" my eye! Brazil is showing how real fascism works.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Here is where I meant to make this comment (in reply to your comment on the autopen circus): This President is an hombre and the "by any means necessary "far left/Dems have no call to complain. Those who illegally and viciously tasked him during the interim have good reason to dread his consequent justice.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: I had occasion recently to converse at length with an emigre from Ukraine who is nearing the attainment of his U.S. citizenship.
ReplyDeleteI asked him what had attracted him and what did he actually find redeeming about the U.S. He replied: "freedom!" That says so much!
Our Constitutionally guaranteed political well being in America is an incalculably blessed good fortune and people like my conversant appreciate that in a manner we may not be able to reprise. But we cannot go wrong if we accept his opinion at face value.
Its very moving to think of the heartfelt gratitude such as he manifest at being afforded such political and economic well being.
Because of this , I regret seeing restrictions on LEGAL immigration which may dash (temporarily I wish) the hopes of worthy people seeking the refuge of our blessed country. But I trust this Administration, one which combines its Head's wisely measured compassion with practical considerations sensibly conceived to meet with unavoidable circumstances (eg. the proven presence among the unvetted millions of persons very probably purposely admitted by the previous Administration, those with thoroughly destructive intent against our country!) Sorry far lefties, this is the fruit of your tragically manifested presumptuous wrong headedness.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: The incalculable disruption suffered by many by being brought to law for illegal entry into our country is directly attributable to a heartless "American" far left and its reckless and cynical misuse of so many of them. It was probably easy to convince people from countries where law enforcement is an amoral mockery that U.S. immigration law could be ignored. What knowledge did they have of our political system and the democratic changes it can bring ?
ReplyDeleteThe illegals cannot be excused; our laws must be enforced or properly amended. The far left which controlled hapless Biden saw in an unresisted invasion of illegals much political benefit for itself and , with manifest evil , unforgivably encouraged some very desperate people to flaunt our law. Not only do they refuse to countenance any condemnation of their grossly irresponsible conduct in bringing about this tragedy, they protest its justice and clearly indicate that they would do it again if they had the power. It gives further proof of their imperious belief in their own unchallengeable righteousness and gives further fair warning of what totalitarian oppression would be ours under their "rule". Like all Marxists in power they would reduce us to whatever subjugation they incidentally choose to impose and would of course reserve to themselves all the means of material well being.
Jack, I would like to see a court-martial of Senator Kelly too, who I believe is the most realistic and practical target. One of the interesting aspects of this trial would be "discovery", where we would hope to learn what the Dems discussed before they released the video...
ReplyDeleteJack, you are right that leftist judges undoubtedly care about the opinion of their fellow legal eagles, and "the verdict of history", but I think the vast majority of them assume that most lawyerly types, and most historians, and most future humans, will be Trump haters, and they are correct on at least two counts, and maybe all three (we'll see in due course).
Jack, I have mixed feelings about Trump's hostility to immigration too, but to me the simple truth is that, while immigration has its pros and cons, we've had VAST AMOUNTS OF IT for 50+ years. A "pause" is long overdue. We can always pause the pause, if the national interest demands it.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Historically our U.S. has gone to unprecedentedly generous lengths to accommodate immigrants and has done incalculable good to many millions in doing so. But no country could be morally lacking in protecting its vital national interests by limiting immigration. Heck, many countries don't allow it all. Criminals and far leftists (same-same actually)have cynically misused our national good will to do us great harm, either to make money or to subvert us to totalitarianism.
ReplyDeleteFinally we have a President unapologetically willing to face facts and do what we must do to meet this threat head on and crush it. If politics is "the art of the possible" it is also the art of meeting unpleasant realities. Pusillanimous lack of resolve in this is just what the vicious criminals and the fanatic domestic commies expect and need of us. It is not in the nature of this President to countenance it. Good for him and us!
Dr. Waddy from Jack: That is a very perceptive point about the revelations which might accrue from "discovery"in trying the "seditious six". The offense was openly and obviously committed and their defense might well attempt to use intent to 'justify" it. I would expect that to be a hard sell in a military court, since self effacing discipline is so vital in the armed services.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Yeah, the '60s radical Critical Legal Studies school of legal "thought" , which may dominate our law schools ,has been going all out to inculcate contempt for our legal traditions in its graduates . "Precedent"? Regard for the incipient and cumulative integrity with which it endows our legality and our polity? The relative harmony and the blessed stability it affords the U.S. ,our balance of statutory , case and (subordinately in intent) administrative law is of no moment to these presumptuous dreamers other than setting up a discredited idol upon which to expectorate. "Yes, students , learn how this rotten system works, the better to destroy it from within!"
ReplyDeleteThey conveniently see our legal history as that ONLY of elites tyrannically protecting their power, nothing more. And from that they presume it just to make rulings based solely upon their "feelings", informed in large part by current political "fashion ". "To the devil with previous notions of right and wrong, no matter how 'time proven' they may be!" And should you disagree they will assert, using any imaginable perversion of the law,"a right" to punish you for it. Witness: the vicious wrongs with which DJT was attacked during the interim using ANY manner of casual misinterpretation of our laws and usurpation of our existing legal institutions to entangle him. The latter is a shameful, temporarily expeditious use of our existing system. In complete power they will make up for that , you betcha!
Purging of this totalitarian doctrine from an English/ American legal foundation and structure VITALLY deserving of our defense, will be a hard row to hoe; so very many now esconsed in decision making positions must be defeated. The far left has done almost incalculable damage to our , on balance, imperfect but just American civilization in their still unrelenting effort to impose their insane dreams of unattainable perfection , fully comparable to that evil done by their monstrous 20th century exemplars.
Just imagine, Jack, where we would be if the Dems/lefties held the majority on the current Supreme Court! It's unlikely we conservatives would be allowed to draw breath, much less compete in free and fair elections or speak our minds. I agree that the Left's concept of the "law" has become totally uncoupled from any standard or tradition other than their personal preferences, which is of course a concept inimical to the law itself.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: The far left deracination of a profession as tradition bound as that of the law is appallingly presumptuous. It may have been intercepted just in time , thanks to Mitch McConnell and President Trump. Should America ride out the savage and unprincipled far left/ Dem onslaught on its painfully evolved ,nevertheless most just of Western legalities, their statues should someday grace the Supreme Court building.
ReplyDeleteI agree that personal preferences are inimical to the rule of law which Western civilization inherited from Rome. But they are the philosophical basis of the legality of one of the most successful civilizations ever, that of Imperial China. It assumed that well educated persons would work justice in individual cases, using their well developed intellects. It worked there, in that setting but its entirely out of place in the Western tradition. It worked there because it was firmly set in a very unwestern culture, though I don't think that our far left radicals have any notion of it. For them, their dominant "feelings "are more than enough justification.
Jack, I would guess that ancient Chinese culture was a tad less self-indulgent, and way more tradition-bound, than the "culture" of the Left...
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice thought: statues of Trump gracing our cities centuries hence. I'll believe it when I see it, mind you, which if this digitization craze really takes off I might!
