The Early Returns Say...Trump Was Right Again!

Friends, this BBC article is well worth your perusal.  If you read between the lines, what it says is that Trump's crackdown on D.C. crime is working like a charm, and scores of innocent citizens have been spared the ravages of maniacs and thugs because of his "tyranny".  Now, that's the kind of tyranny we signed up for!!!

Would it be correct to say that President Trump has declared a type of martial law in D.C.?

  2. RAY TO DR. WADDY

As you already know, D.C. had a high crime rate for decades, which is a "logical" outcome for decades of criminal "rights" and defund the police in many cities across the nation, where the "perps became the victims, and the cops became the perps". George Floyd in Minneapolis is a perfect example of this. Wonder what the lefties up there in the twin cities are going to come up with in the recent Catholic School shootings?

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: The BBC probably inclines to the left but on balance I'd credit them with more objectivity than our MSM. I hear the press in Britain can be nasty , especially to the Royals but I think the BBC does demonstrate some Brit. reserve(?)

The article quotes a presumably DC area Magistrate Judge ,( a class of Judges I understand to have mainly lower ranked administrative duties; I think they do not preside over criminal trials) as follows: "If there is going to be a surge in prosecutions , there should also be a surge in the protection of human dignity". WELL! Now what does that mean exactly? Danged if I know; I'd expect to read this kind of dreamy dreck from sophomores but not from someone with a Bachleors and then 3 years of demanding law school and then the professional affirmation reflected by elevation to a judgeship.

I'd suggest, though I think it was not this Judge's purpose, that human dignity is very much enhanced when criminals are smacked down and the public is consequently afforded some relief from their presumptuous predation. To be in constant fear of physical attack is a degrading experience and one which generates much cynicism about a government's ability or resolve to prevent such an emotionally debilitating hazard. Accordingly, deliverance from such dread is a redeeming experience.

Washington D.C. Mayor Bowser publicly expressed a graceful recognition of the salubrious effect Federal policing has had on D.C.'s crime blizzard and deserves much credit for bucking her party's reflexive contempt and dismissiveness for the Federal onslaught on DC crime. Still, I wish she had not said that it focuses doubt on the DC Metropolitan Police Dep't. She is still a dem and it has been far left dem strictures forced upon the police everywhere which has purposely made their job unforgivably more difficult. When one's job and maybe one's freedom ( and we must understand the harrowing lethal hazard in which any incarcerated ex police officer is put )are at great risk, it is understandable that police, knowing they would thrown to the wolves by sometimes even very high ranking police officers, let alone far left civilians, avoid enforcing the law for fear of being "trapped off". I have not worked with police but I did work very closely with prison Correction Officers for 20 years and I know for sure that most of them would willingly enforce the law at any level but for the understandable expectation of betrayal by criminal apologists in government. Those Officers and the Police Officers are fully cognizant of what they are dealing with in the criminal population; they know far better than arrogant academically corrupted officials in comfortable government offices. Last year's strike by NY Corrections Officers was forced by unendurable and ignorant state government strictures on the measures they know FULL WELL are vital in controlling criminals (in or out of prison).

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: " Expansive" in more ways than one and comically Presidential in his career aspirations Illinois Governor Pritzker has declared , in words to this effect "If President Trump attempts to send Federal forces to my state to fight crime especially in a Chicago in which, you can see, I am perfectly safe, he will meet a RESPONSE ! "

Oh my, what could that mean?! Why it takes me back to my salad days in the early 60s when southern Governors expressed similar defiance to a President Kennedy who could have sent 8 inch naval guns right up the Mississippi or into Mobile Bay. Well, we know their eventual submission to his authority, given all the circumstances , is generally viewed now as a favorable chapter in our history.

If I were a vicious criminal in Chicago, I'd be looking for shelter just now while the getting is good. They may even want to consider a new line of work . The gravy train may be about to be derailed.

  5. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Its understandable that since the Federal crackdown in DC started that the DC judiciary would have a heavier load. And it can't be "business as usual" turnstile processing back into the street anymore, not with Pres. Trump and AG Pam Bondi paying close attention . So 20 Judge Advocate General military attorneys have deployed by the Feds to "help" put some backbone into the post arrest process.

That's good; military lawyers are going to bring a militarily businesslike mien to it.

A DC criminal was videoed "lamenting" that he had been arrested six times and every time immediately released by a "judge". The fix has been in for a long time and now its going to be FIXED.

I see also that Tom Homan is ramping up ICE operations in Chicago and in doing so may be serving as an advance guard for a much larger Federal law enforcement contingent.

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack: The far left just could not wait a decent in
terval before playing that "same old song" the same day as the tragic shootings in Minneapolis. "We must get rid of guns" they bleat.

First of all , its impossible; there are millions of guns privately and lawfully possessed in the U.S. . People as gravely disturbed as that shooter will be able to find them. What good did Minnesota's reputedly "tough"gun laws do!?

The unseemly haste of the radicals to make political hay of this terrible event helps to affirm the view that public safety is not their main intention in blaming lawful gun owners for yet standing up for their 2nd Amendment rights. The far left after all is the side that wants to defund the police and give all criminals the benefit of the doubt over the law abiding. NO! They know that lawful gun owners and their organizations, like NRA and NY SCOPE, support candidates , office holders and policy and law makers who are conservative on a wide range of issues even beyond 2nd Amendment rights. They think that if they relentlessly continue to knowingly support often unconstitutional measures making gun possession and use ever more difficult , they can discourage gun owners and discredit the political power of our organizations. They hope thereby to deal a massive blow to the overall American conservative movement which they hate and fear so very much. That is what inspired their obnoxious and lugubrious haste in bringing their as always disingenuous politics into this lamentable setting even on the very spot. And that is not in any way to discredit those who expressed only genuine grief and lamentation at this horrid act.

Our science of medicine and psychology and our legal system are not not yet advanced enough to reliably diagnose and intercept the hellish psychosis which drove this shooter. UNTIL WE ARE ,WE MUST PHYSICALLY DEFEND THE KIDS AT THE VERY POINTS OF ATTACK , THE SCHOOLS AND IF NECESSARY ADJACENT CHURCHES - PERIOD!! And we can do it overnight by deploying armed lawful gun owners in and around these extremely soft targets so that they are no longer soft.

There is no use in bleating " oooo, guns in schools are ICKY!"Guns in the hands of the lawful multitude stop guns in the hands of the criminal and criminally insane. And those who work to prevent such protection are at the very least tragically mistaken and at worst are so fanatically determined to have their political way that they are willing to hazard the well being of our children to defeat their political opponents.

Someday maybe we can identify and stop such terribly warped individuals but until we are sure we can we have got to stop the hand wringing and do the very doable defense of our kids we are fully capable of doing NOW! If we don't, recent history strongly suggests that this copy cat madness will continue.

It is entirely possible to have an extensively gun owning population free of this abomination of attacks on the most vulnerable, our sweet children. The U.S. WAS that kind of country in the '50s.
