Dark Dems

Friends, how do you sell a party and a message that, well, stink to the American people?  It's not like it's never been done before...  In an age in which the mainstream media has less reach and credibility than ever before, you have to get creative.  The Dems are doing exactly that, by insinuating their talking points into the antics of online "influencers".  And it might work, too!

In other news, DJT has an interesting idea to juice up Republican engagement going into the 2026 midterm elections: he wants to hold a GOP convention right before the voting.  Hmm.  That's certainly never been done before.  He has a point: tens of millions of people who voted for Trump are fully expected to sit on their hands next November.  Anything that gets their attention is probably worth a shot.

Finally, remember when Dems scoffed at the idea that any president could control the southern border better than their hero Joe Biden had?  Well, as we've seen, President Trump was able to stifle the flow of "migrants" almost immediately.  That is amazing, but possibly foreseeable, given Trump's record in his first term.  What I think no one saw coming was Trump's success in convincing migrants already here to go home.  We've seen how up to a million and a half illegal aliens have chosen to pack it up and return to their homelands.  This article tells the story of one migrant who risked everything to come here, and now must risk almost as much to repatriate himself.  The article assumes that this "reverse migration" is a tragedy.  Some, though, will see it as a singular Trumpian triumph!

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I was tempted to say "we can of course count on Rolling Stone to report the 'underside' of even the most hopeful phenomenon" but no, theirs is nonetheless a legitimate report in some ways.

Who could gainsay anyone's sincere desire to leave communist Venezuela or fail to sympathize with the dread attendant upon return to that hellish totalitarian land.

But let's place the blame squarely where it belongs. That is, on the far left dictated open border policy championed by President Biden. Of course word of this got back to the wretched of the earth and they risked all to get to a land in which they perceived the astonishing possibility of a far better life.

Our immigration laws were the product of a democratic process in which the wish to offer as much benefit as we can to such needy people was fully debated and incorporated into the compromises which gave enactment to these laws. The Biden administration chose to presumptuously ignore this fact and to tragically ignore the resulting laws in favor of, well, whatever they "felt"was just. The Trump administration is devoted to enforcing these laws and one result is the "reverse" immigration we see now, enabled as it is by additional measures to ease return somewhat.

In recklessly encouraging people with understandably intense hope for a better life, the Biden administration did them a cynical great injustice which is being manifested in the terrible disappointment and often physical danger which they face upon return to places they had hoped never to see again. Let's hope that those among them who led positive, constructive lives here can eventually return lawfully.

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Its getting to be a cliche; we have never had a President like this! He constantly gives us more reason to say this.

I especially like the way he summarily one ups the far left captured dems and puts them back on the on the defensive . "So you wanna have a midterm convention ? Great idea, maybe we'll do it too! Only our's will be a celebration of great achievements and your's will be fraught with desperation at the by then imminent prospect of you getting creamed in the midterms. America likes a winner and it dislikes sore losers like you dems. Your policy choices have been shown up in the last 18 months for the tired failures they are. You blew your best chance for sealing your totalitarian deal when you nominated vengeful Hillary in 2016. You've never recovered , though you did manage to do alot of damage during the tenure of your mentally disabled factotum Biden. Kamala? Nuff said.

Your pretty boy darling Newsom has vowed to "cancel" Texas's reordering of its House delegation to eliminate the misrepresentation you dems imposed. That's ok Gavin, we'll do you one and many more better in states like Indiana and Missourii and more if necessary. "

The above is what I would hope our great President would say. And six months of astonishing progress (in its real sense) tells us that it would be backed by very much more of the same.

I've seen some truly extraordinary political phenomena in my lifetime: JFK's defeat of Nixon, the return of Richard Nixon , Watergate, the rise of Ronald Reagan, the fall of communism , the election of a draft dodging grifter to the very Presidency, the defeat of 'inevitable" Hillary by perhaps the most unlikely of candidates; that far more seasoned man's Presidential redemption after a personal and "legal" onslaught on him which was perhaps unprecedented. But President Trump's continued triumphant second tenure , to America's great benefit; well, that takes the cake! It could never have been responsibly predicted but DJT has made himself arguably the premier political figure of post WWII America and is well on his way to proving himself the eventual antidote to the curse of Marxism which came so close to destroying America

  3. Jack, the irony is that some of those who fled Venezuela OUGHT to have been welcomed here, as refugees from Marxist oppression and potentially as great assets to America itself, but many frankly fled poverty rather than socialism, so it's for the best that they find succor elsewhere. Quite a few have landed in Colombia, as I learned when I visited there.

Jack, as you point out, truth can be stranger than fiction, and American politics proves it! I encourage DJT to use the "bully pulpit" to rally the right as best he can leading into the midterms. Such off-year elections are usually decided by turnout and intensity, so I believe a convention of the sort Trump envisages could be a master stroke. Could be a great time to frogmarch Barack or Hillary off to Leavenworth, too.

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: It is very much to marxism's PROVEN intense discredit that desperate peoples welcome it and soon find out that they are far worse off than they were before. So then, if they are able, they often take the heartbreaking step of leaving their homes to go, maybe anywhere, with all the hardship and emotional upheaval that involves so long as it is free of the curse of the that hellish doctrine. How any civilized person can champion Marxism after its 108 year reign of murderous and insane power even in a now blessedly diminished setting, is beyond me.
