Friends, today, in a move that will make the few liberal heads that haven't already exploded...explode, DJT announced the deployment of National Guard forces to bolster crime fighting efforts in the District of Columbia AND he assumed direct federal control of the District's Metro Police. Lefties counter that crime in D.C. is "no big deal", which may be true if you have Secret Service protection, but which hasn't been accurate for ordinary citizens for a long time. Will this scrap ultimately lead to the end of "home rule" for D.C. and the federalization of the city? Some have speculated that most of the District could be returned to Maryland, and D.C.'s three electoral votes could be assigned more narrowly to...Donald Trump's bedroom? I like this idea, personally. We'll see how matters develop from here.

In other news, the U.S. and China have agreed to maintain their "tariff truce" until November, giving both countries more time to negotiate a final deal. The markets will like this. Already, U.S.-China trade has declined significantly under Trump, as we rebalance our national portfolio, as it were, and expand trade ties with less adversarial countries like Vietnam and India. I like it! This whole tariff kerfuffle is working out a lot better than I expected.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: Lots of good news from DC. I'm very hesitant to use the word "revolutionary" because it has been so disgraced by far left misuse. But in its heretofore creditable meaning it fits; this remarkable President continues his revolutionary reaffirmation of common sense in our polity, legality and government. He has brought it back from its long exile at the hands of vicious totalitarian dreamers and their pusillanimous apologists. .
ReplyDeleteYesterday he ordered the National Guard into crime infested DC. Today he said he may do it in other cities. "Oh but he can't" bleats the criminal loving far left. Yes he can; President's Eisenhower and Kennedy sent the military into southern states which defied the civil rights of some of their citizens. Surely protection against lawbreakers is a fundamental civil right, codified in myriad penal laws as well as specific civil rights statutes. Kudos to our President for rebreaking this ground , again after its long suppression by the "American"radical mob.
"But its so unfair" ,croak the usual reflexive naysayers, "DC's murder rate is down 28%". Yeah, its gone from abominable to merely execrable . How about the 72% who were nevertheless done to death?!Actually , DC is the perfect place to start this so very long despairingly waited for onslaught on savages, for the very reasons enunciated yesterday by Pres. Trump. My view: our capitol comparable to the Walled City of Kowloon, (in Hong Kong)the depravity of which was notorious throughout the world?! No, that is not sufferable! And let its correction sound the tocsin against those "compassionate" elitist rulers in all big cities dictated to by detached smoky marxist toadies who for so long have enabled this insane counterintuition. (Lesson #1: criminals bad, law abiding citizens good).
The Mayor and Police Chief of DC are reportedly working with dutiful support and cooperation in this vital effort. That also provides a telling example for cities like Chicago, NYC and L.A. and many like them, cursed by dem misrule, that even a liberal administration can bring itself to work for this new America.
Dr. Waddy from Jack: One thing is for sure; no matter how very intensely they despise him, these far leftists and those who think them best for our country, they have to know this insolent hombre means what he says. That presents the very real prospect of him doing whatever is necessary to discredit and disable criminals , a "revolutionary class" much beloved of the "American"far left. If I were Comrade Mamdani I think I would reconsider the Marxist reign of terror he plans upon his "election" to the NYC Mayoralty.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Tariffs: hind sight is always insightful but still, how could anyone have perceived in DJT the mastery of the "Art of the Deal" he has convincingly demonstrated on the international stage. Maybe it ain't much different from the ehhh, "competitive" milieu of big NYC real estate.
ReplyDeleteJack, the pacification of D.C., if it happens, will be a wonderful object lesson in Dem misrule and Trumpian efficiency/pragmatism. The proof will be in the pudding. Will D.C. be safe for bumpkins again? As a bumpkin myself, I sincerely hope so.
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Today U. S. Attorney for DC Pirro said it best: "I don't care WHY criminals do crime; I just care that they DO it and about the effect it has on the law abiding !" Couldn't be said better.
ReplyDeleteI expect that the DC Mayor is beginning to feel the heat from the far left over her apostasy in cooperating with the President's assault on violent criminals. She says she is "disturbed" by it. Congress may have to extend this operation in 28 days and the politicking has already begun.
Dr. Waddy from Jack:Fox showed video of some fervent soul confronting one of the Federal law enforcement Officers now deployed to DC and shrieking "fascist, fascist" and hitting him with a sub sandwich. He was arrested: well, President Trump did say "if they spit, we hit". My recommendation for his comeuppance: have him sit through a day of relentless showing of documentaries on the rise of the Nazis and Fascists by street thuggery, then the SS executioners who followed the Wehrmacht into Russia and then the unbearable scenes filmed at the liberated death camps. He'll have ever so better an understanding of the term Nazi and its "inappropriate" use in recklessly describing American law enforcement . It might even change his "mind".
ReplyDeleteHmm. Has any smug leftist ever "changed his mind"??? If so, I'd like to meet him!
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: Oh well, just consider Comrade Mamdani's current miraculous acceptance of sweet reason. No more "defund honorable police", no. No more calls to drive Israeli Jews into the welcoming Mediterranean. I'm sure he is sincere, yes?
