Happy Trumpentine's Day!

Friends, I hope your favorite presidential candidate blows you lots of kisses this Valentine's Day, because you're ever so lovable and cute as a button!  In fact, I'm so smitten with you that I've decided to give you -- not flowers or a box of chocolates -- but the incomparable gift of my latest article, which focuses on hospitals' fradulent claims to be "charitable", which undergird their avoidance of local, state, and federal taxes.  Shame on them!  Check it out:

Well, if at first you don't succeed, try, try again!  That's what House Republicans did vis-a-vis Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and it worked!  Yesterday he was impeached, necessitating a "trial" -- be it ever so perfunctory -- in the Senate.  I have mixed feelings about this impeachment effort, and I certainly don't think it will amount to much in the end, although it may encourage lots more impeachments, based on essentially political and policy-based disagreements, in the years to come.  In any case, no matter how you feel about impeachment, Mayorkas' role in denying Secret Service protection to presidential candidate RFK, Jr. is absolutely reprehensible.  Shame on Mayorkas and the Dems for perverting the law -- consistently and shamelessly -- and ignoring it altogether whenever it conflicts with their progressive ideology and their narrow political interests.

Finally, I have to agree with much of the analysis of President Trump, who says that the GOP lost the special election in New York's 3rd Congressional district because they chose a weak, only vaguely "Republican" candidate.  Establishment Republicans seem to think that all you have to do is choose a candidate of the right gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or national background -- in other words, outdo the Left in identity politics -- and you'll win by default!  Well, it doesn't work that way.  The Left will always accuse us of racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. no matter what.  And, above all, to win elections you need to satisfy the base and get them to turn out and vote.  We neglected those fundamental lessons in this special election, and we lost.  We also, of course, got massively outspent, as per usual.

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Well, Schumer gets to sneer at another impeachment vote on an exemplary dem after some 26 years. Then again, sneering is pretty routine for him. Mayorkas is an unrepentant partisan and conduct like his nasty refusal to afford RFK Jr. Secret Service accompaniment is juvenile, sure, but it could have tragic results. If his name was not Kennedy he might not be of interest to some sicko aspiring attention seeker but his name is Kennedy.

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: DJT knows what he's talking about. He and his family have paid an incalculable personal price for getting in the face of the haughty and vicious antiamerican left. He's a streetwise hombre and he knows that is what it takes to deal effectively with incipient ,determined totalitarians. Criminals and far leftists think and act much alike (they share a flourishing mutual admiration society)and they both must be met by an America free of illusions about them.

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: MSNBC today gloated over the GOP being "stunned" by the loss of the Congressional seat. Oh, I expect we'll be fine all the while!

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: For example: today I watched the court examination of the alleged corruption in the couple "prosecuting" DJT in GA. I've often opined that the far left thinks and acts like criminals. The attitudes displayed by the DA and the unqualified "prosecutor" reminded me of the fronting and barely concealed outrage I saw so often at inmate disciplinary hearings in the state prisons I worked in. Criminals find any questioning of their actions to be by definition unjust and the antiamerican left thinks that DJT MUST be destroyed by any means necessary. Any challenge to this conviction is to them dismissable out of hand. This ineptly concealed demonstration of self righteous contempt yesterday is a revealing example of that left's haughty but desperate campaign to run DJT out of our public life and DJT's campaign to restore integrity to our White House benefits thereby, I think.

  5. Jack, if RFK, Jr. was to be assassinated, one suspects Mayorkas and Biden would slap each other on the back and exclaim, "Mission accomplished!" Speaking of which, they would probably pull Secret Service protection from Trump, if they could. Maybe they can?

Yeah, I don't think anyone was "stunned" by the loss in NY's 3rd district, but it does prove that the Dems are still very much in the hunt.

I didn't watch the Fani Willis circus, but I hear she was indignant, as you'd expect, and she could offer no proof of her supposed reimbursements to her lover. We're about to find out how "in the tank" for Democrats the judge in the case is. I personally doubt the charges are going away. The fix is in.

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack: You may well be right about "the fix". Jonathan Turley, a well spoken attorney who often comments on Fox, appeared to believe this judge will hand the case to another jurist. The dems are being beaten at their own tactic of prolix obfuscation and Byzantine procedural delay; with decisive political developments at hand in this campaign, soon their lawfare onslaught will be shown up for what it is, an electoral rather than a legally just phenomenom.

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Like the 1850's, two irreconcilable positions are at "cold civil war" today in our country. One side will probably prevail and in doing so, marginalize the other. Otherwise, the country may fly apart.

  8. Hmm. Now that would be an intriguing development: "showing up" Democratic lawfare for the basically political gambit that it is. How would we prove this? Does documentary written, audio, or visual evidence exist to demonstrate the Left's cynicism in pursuing these cases against Trump? Maybe it does, and maybe we can expose it.
