Impeach Me If You Can!

Friends, the latest Newsmaker Show featuring Yours Truly and Brian O'Neil focuses on several important stories that those "other" talk shows can't or won't take on.  We go where others fear to tread!

For instance, Brian and I discuss the (specious) reasoning behind the initial U.S./NATO decision to pursue Ukrainian membership in the alliance, and to pump billions in military and economic aid into the failed state to ensure that our new Eastern European pets did as they were told.  We also cover whether a turning point has been reached in terms of Americans' perceptions of leftist lunacy, the hard-left bias at National Public Radio, Democrats' and progressives' MASSIVE cash advantage in 2024, the salience of abortion as an issue in the presidential election, the secret flights, funded by taxpayers, that are exacerbating our problem with illegal immigration, the possibility that climate change extremism could be enforced by the courts, my views of the 4-day work week, and the question of whether the U.S. Senate will do its constitutional duty and go through the motions of a trial of Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, who was impeached by the House.

When we discuss "This Day in History", Brian and I ponder the significance and legacy of the Titanic disaster, the lessons that Germans took from the Anschluss between Germany and Austria, and the Victorian impulse for humanitarianism that led to modern institutions like the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Hey, if you could stop beating your horse long enough to listen in, it would really warm my heart!

In other news, how many progressives are as dumb and self-righteous as Whoopi Goldberg?  The answer appears to be...way too many!  Actually, to be fair, Whoopi isn't dumb as in lacking in intelligence.  She's simply so consumed by hatred and disdain that she skips the part of critical thinking that involves giving even people who think and feel differently than you do the benefit of the doubt, and presuming that they might be people as opposed to demons who crawled up out of hell.  Anyway, the alarming truth is that many leftists believe their own nonsensical claims that Republicans want to bring back slavery, execute gays, take away women's right to vote or ability to work or opportunity to use birth control, etc etc.  These aren't the kind of assertions you make when you study the data about what Republicans think, of course, and they aren't the sort of claims that you make when you know actual, flesh-and-blood Republicans, either.  No, this type of hyperbolic invective is what happens when you crawl down a progressive rabbit hole and decide to stay in it for life.  Whoopi's remarks are reprehensible, but let's face it: Whoopi herself and people like her are more to be pitied than despised.  Living on a daily basis with that much hate in your heart, and that much ignorance rattling around in your brain, can't be fun.

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Antiamerican leftists are screaming bloody murder about an Arizona court's confirmation of an 1868 law proscribing most abortion. Doubly ironic that: first, these are people who , far from regretfully maintaining a grim necessity for some abortion , get out the banners, strike up the drums and march with gleeful abandon to CELEBRATE a "right" to murder unborn humans at unlimited will. Second, these are the people who, with absurd presumption and obvious disdain for our legal system, tried to revive a long ago fulfilled purpose for an 1860's Constitutional amendment, to disingenuously deny today's voters the chance to vote for DJT. Their recent unanimous defeat by our now lawful Scotus has but intensified their resolve to defend their flagship issue to the death (as it were), the assured continuation of the extirpation of "fetal tissue" smugly denied humanity at their shameful fiat.

  2. Jack, I suggest a compromise: abortions only for men. Possibly both sides could live with this?

As far as abortions go, I wonder how many Right-wingers who can afford it, use the services of plush "hush hush" abortion clinics? As far as Left-wingers go, they should not have children anyway, and if they do, will only produce more children they can brain wash with their Marxist bullshit.

Unless it was fake news, DJT is supposed to have said recently that if he makes president again he will let the states decide. Okay fine, and which of course means that DJT is really not against abortion, but just don't make a federal case of it.

Of course I could expand on this issue, endlessly, but the bottom line is that the right and the left don't really give a damn about abortion, but pretend to be, but only as a political issue. Lots of fucking hypocrites on both sides out there, isn't there?

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: In this week's broadcast you noted how the militant left uses the courts to work far reaching measures for which legislation is impossible; all that democratic procedure when enlightened fiat serves far better, yes? What they got for their pains is a lawful Scotus, dutifully empowered in order to counter their incipient totalitarianism. Why they are justly hoisted on their own petards! This principled court itself, previously their obsequious rubber stamp, has returned to state decision making organs, which are better responsive to the cultures of their states than are overidealists centered in islands of disdain for time proven standards, their authority in the matter of abortion. And now oh how the antiamerican left rages at this insolent denial of their unimpeachable wisdom. It mobilizes and marches! But gee, the unborn, whose bodily integrity is also threatened surely against their instinctive will, cannot express themselves in this manner. This is of no moment to the abortionists; feti are bugs and they are Raid.

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: The antiamerican left waxes evermore willing to admit its incipiently totalitarian biases . NPR has, I think, been long since purposefully transformed into a dutiful mouthpiece for the antiamerican left. That it casually forces the taxpayer to pay for this is fully reflective of their haughty presumption that they know best and that the unwashed had better refrain from criticism lest appropriate retribution and suppression be rendered in good time ,as it is even now on DJT.

Off topic I realize, but O.J. Simpson is now deceased at 76.

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Oh yes also, I see a state (I didn't catch its name but I'd bet its recently common sense redeemed Florida) has either proposed or enacted a requirement for the performance of a brief video showing an actual abortion to school health classes. Now back in the day "Health" (no doubt now titled "Equitable Wellness)was taught during senior year but it seems now that that has been deemed far too late and who knows how much precocious indoctrination is deemed correct and appropriate to force on kids. Apparently some MDs consider the video too disturbing to show to "children". As I remember , they show pictures of bodies eviscerated and dismembered (kind of like what an aborted fetus experiences, yes abortionists?)in Driver Ed. classes. It made me sick to my gut back then and I'm glad they showed it; it taught me some respect. I have often thought the widespread broadcast of the film The Silent Scream, described as portraying an actual abortion (I have not seen it ;those traffic accident movies were enough for me) would summarily destroy that movement which purports to demand "choice" for all but the fetus. Yes, do show this abortion video to, please, older school kids ok(unless parents say no for their kids) and hooray for the state which dares initiate the use of this sobering depiction of an appalling reality. A vindictive onslaught for the imposition of such politically incorrect reality is of course to be expected from an antiamerican left stung to the quick by such graphic discreditation of one of its most cherished ideals. Oh my!

  8. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Uhh, since when did a law degree provide one with professional meteorologist accreditation ? You are quite correct in predicting that presumption much like that shown in some European jurisprudence on the emotionally embraced and hence unassailable doctrine that earthly immolation is nigh, will manifest in all its totalitarian certainty in the US. At least our sane and lawful Scotus may afford us some insulation from its most dictatorial consequences.

  9. Dr. Waddy from Jack: When I crossed the N. Atlantic on Queen Mary II the one thing I could have done without was the Captain's announcement that we were passing close to the wreck of the Titanic. To me one of the most hideous aspects of that event was the
counterintuitive smoothness of the limitless ocean as it drew those unfortunates to their death. Four years at sea taught me what a terror that dark expanse can be at night. How very many thousands more were to meet similar ends in the all unlooked for 20th century which loomed close up on Titanic's catastrophe. Was there premonition in it? Did it coincidentally herald the end of the promise so strongly suggested by Edwardian civilization?

Jack, you are absolutely correct, like 500% or more. Also, I am sure you are well able to identify criminal types after working in your state prison system for all those years. Really slick, how he escaped prison time during that murder trial, and probably only because he was famous for sports and some movie acting, and he had a first rate legal team, that he could actually afford at the time. What a travesty of justice. The world is certainly a better place without him. Thanks for reminding me of that. Ray

According to an article on "One America News" The White House sent condolences to the family, with no mention of his victims. That's about what I expected from the Marxist oriented regime that is running this country now. In other words, the perps are now the victims, and the victims are the perps.

A paraphrase from a movie ("Cop Land" as I recall), where one of the lead characters, (I can't remember exactly who), says something to the effect that in today's society as far as law enforcement goes, "the perps are now the victims, and the cops are the perps".

  12. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I can't bear to watch Goldberg's forum but from your description of her mien it sounds like a typical conclave of vicious bigots convinced that their views are unassailable. I think that conviction is a handy all purpose condemnation expectorating the outrage they unendurably "feel"whenever insolently opposite views are considered. "How COULD anyone think that way? Anyone who does is by definition reprehensible and deserving of withering contempt, social ostracism and whenever possible, legal onslaught!" They recklessly provide us fair notice of the thinking which informs and motivates our hopefully temporary incipiently totalitarian "rulers" , who are too "politic" to be too frank with their antiamerican left beliefs and intentions .

  13. Ray from Jack: When I worked in NY prisons I was in contact with Corrections Dep't officials who openly asserted and demonstrated their belief that criminals are blameless victims and that law abiding society their willful victimizers . Really! These are some of the fruits of the ideological madness with which our baby boom ingrates have rewarded America. Not all of us, for sure , but enough to cause incalculable damage exemplified by the absurdly counterintuitive nature of such a cowardly conclusion. America was ,against all expectation, afforded possible deliverance from this wretched social and political catastrophe by the rise of DJT and Maga. His immediate benefit, fortunate beyond measure, was to keep grimly vindictive Hillary out of our White House. Limitless good and redemption is enabled by his establishment of a belatedly lawful Scotus. Much more can be had by his restoration. If he is defeated, we can count on having the kind of thinkers who exalt criminals reacting in their intense relief with unprecedentedly dictatorial and frantic follow through. His defeat in November could well tip the scale beyond return to political sanity. Churchill's clarion call to maximum resolve in 1940 by creditably and frankly predicting the certain consequences of Nazi triumph bears repeating in America today as we face the domestic onslaught of a doctrine every bit as totalitarian and evil( eg. its obvious and detestable murderous hatred for Judaism). That it is THE threat to all we cherish is appallingly, close to incredibly, REAL!

  14. Ray from Jack: Oh my , but these Bidens are pathetically tactless. They could simply have refrained from expressing such condolence to Simpson's family. The irony of it seems to have escaped their grasp. And the renewed pain for his victims' families no doubt brought on by the publicity attending his passing is very probably exacerbated by this clumsy gesture. They probably meant well in their reflexively "compassionate" manner but they are the factoti of a dem party which is dominated by apologists for criminals and should have known better. It was revealing of them and their ilk that they were not so.

  15. Ray, I can see your point: most Republicans aren't really and truly against abortion, or at least their pro-life stance is riddled with exceptions, which strongly implies that they believe some fetuses are more human than others... Personally, I'm all for abortion, as long as we start with aborting adults!

Jack, I wouldn't go as far as to say that the current iteration of SCOTUS is "lawful", or even particularly mindful of the Constitution as it was written -- but it's a heck of a lot better than anything the lefties would come up with!

Jack, I think NPR is a good example of how leftists sincerely can't comprehend the difference between their values and opinions...and scientific "fact" and objective truth. And that's precisely what makes these people so dangerous!

Personally, I don't care for the idea of forcing schoolchildren to watch videos of abortions-in-progress. That smacks of a purely emotional approach (or what amounts to one) to what is a very complex issue. I mean, I could show videos all day long of black people writhing in discriminatory agony, or polar bears wilting in the heat, or gunshot wounds, and my purpose in doing so would be all too obvious. I'd be manipulating my audience's emotions to turn them into leftists. Of course, I realize the flaw in this logic: if all images are propaganda, then the only fair-minded thing to do is to gouge out all schoolchildrens' eyes and call it good. Be that as it may, I don't like to be manipulated emotionally, and I wouldn't want to see public education reduced to that sort of thing either.

It boggles the mind how many innocent souls the sea has claimed, does it not? That's one more peril that we've essentially abolished in the modern age.

Agreed: O.J. got away with murder because of the excellence of his legal team. Note that the best lawyers in America WILL represent a murderer, but they WON'T represent DJT. Draw your own conclusions.

I know I won't be telling you two anything you don't already know, but the Left's love of criminals and its disdain for the law-abiding and for law enforcement are simply extensions of neo-Marxism's generalized preference for the historically downtrodden and debased over the historically powerful, respected, and "normal". Up is down, and down is up. Except when it isn't, which is often, or whenever convenient.

  16. Dr. Waddy from Jack: If anything commending a "right" to kill the unborn is required to be expressed to school kids then I think it right to show them the appalling physical results of the practice. Of course parents must have an absolute right to absent their children from discussion of any aspect of this hideous subject. Perhaps it would be best to to cease arrogating to schools the teaching of subjects best left to families especially considering the intense far leftist bias which obtains in American schools. To the far left, completely untrammeled abortion is a defining issue for misanthropic radical man haters on which they have hitched their totalitarian wagon and they characteristically presume upon our public education system to support them and ONLY them.

  17. Yes, I concur: the best we can hope for from the public schools on matters of sexual ethics is that they will keep their institutional traps shut!!!
