It Ain't Right!

Friends, exciting news: 63 new moons of Saturn have been discovered.  Wow!  My question is: with the amount of real estate in the solar system constantly expanding, why are rents so high, and why does the median house in America now cost $436,800???  I say it's a conspiracy among property developers and government regulators to make Americans pay through the nose.  Funny thing is, I'm right, despite the fact that I'm out-of-this-world bonkers.  My advice: beat "The Man" at his own game.  Build your next split-level ranch on Titan.  Land is cheap, and you won't hear a peep out of your neighbors.

In other news, the calls for "reform" of the Supreme Court are growing louder and louder on the Left.  Gee, what a surprise.  What I wonder is: if SCOTUS is in a position to decide the result of the 2024 election, and it easily could be, then what would the leftists and the Biden Administration be willing to do to curb its "authoritarian" tendencies?  Answer: virtually anything!

  1. Dr.Waddy from Jack: Ahh, ok "Rep." Pressley whaat da hell does"bootstrapper forced to birth the don't say caucus. I know you antiamericans think delivering your pronunciamentos in a frantic tsunami of unendurable emotion has the intimidating power you think sufficient to cow the unwashed but gee, a proper selection and placement of words is recommended for full impact.

  2. Dr.Waddy from Jack: Its amusing to hear members of the "squad" bleat bitter about authoritarianism when their obvious intent is to visit oppression far worse than mere authoritarianism on a condemned America:that proven inhumanity of Marxism. Its a rare country which seats such people in its government people of such compelling bad will toward their country.

  3. Dr. Waddy from Jack: "Rep". Pressley excoriates" legislating from the bench". Oh man, that takes the Slick Willy award for presumptuous preemption. LOL! Roe v Wade? How many fetuses perished because Scotus legislated that abomination from the high bench in'73? "Sectional oppression"! Oh I dig that one! Tell people of common sense marooned in lala land NY city and state about that one. Its called America, "Rep" Pressley and this Scotus is true to its duty to it. Didn't you take an oath? Naughty, naughty!

  4. Dr.Waddy from Jack: See here, you are just assuming absence of noxious neighbors on Titan. This could have an untoward effect on the real estate market in the solar system once the truth gets out. Bathing
in methane lakes may have unfortunate olefactory consequences.

  6. Dr.Waddy from Jack:I'm lost; how can most people pay over $400 thousand for a house? Can they afford furniture and paper towels?I'm not gainsaying it; I just can't comprehend it.

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: In their disingenuous and haughty reaction to the justice worked by Scotus in these three decisions the antiamerican left once again serves us fair notice; they are fundamentally possessed of hatred and contempt for America. We must not ignore this; its the way they will rule if they fulfill their totalitarian intent.

The Left has been fulfilling their/its' "totalitarian intent" for decades now, and doing an excellent job in the process.

  9. Jack to Ray:I agree. They have made "progress" and in doing so have degraded our culture in an appalling and grievous manner but have not reached the point yet where their imminent complete takeover is assured. Would America stand for it? I thought it would happen when Hillary seemed to be sure of the throne and alot of folks voted for her.Dr.Waddy is right; we must reclaim at least some of the institutions they have cuckooed. We are making inroads on the MSM with Fox and talk radio but the one remedy for the shamefully compromised academy is government defunding of bigoted leftist schools. Entertainment? Like Colin Powell said: "we need to regain a sense of shame in our country". Some of those people need to be driven back into the gutters they sprouted from. The 19th and 18th centuries' misgivings about actors had some substance.

Thanks for the reply. It was a good one. I would have to say that you are more optimistic than I am about the future.

  10. Dr. Waddy et al from Jack: The antiamericans are disingenuous perfectionists. The know perfection is unattainable but they know that if they can keep enough good people upset and keep selling them dreams, their game can be played indefinitely.

  11. Jack, seating unpatriotic radicals in the halls of power is not, unfortunately, nearly as rare as it used to be. What Western country isn't pestered by a fifth column of neo-Marxists and racist "anti-racists" these days? In fact, what Western country isn't actually LED by them?

Point taken, Jack. There may be life on Titan, and that would somewhat complicate my recommendation of it as an idyll for misanthropes. All that methane, though, means your electric bill would be low, low, low! Cell phone reception is poor, however. You have to take the good with the bad.

Jack, I don't understand how the country can live with such high housing prices either. Remember, it's a median price, not an average. Still, you could argue that, in parts of the country, home ownership is now a heritable condition. That is to say, unless your parents or grandparents leave you a home, or gift you the downpayment, you're outta luck. I firmly believe that this situation is desired by many (especially current homeowners and real estate speculators), and it is sustained in part by onerous building standards and environmental recommendations that inflate prices artificially.

Ray, I agree that the Left's agenda and its lack of patriotism has been abundantly clear for decades, and they only grow more brazen by the day. There's little or no sign that the American people are catching on, however. Quite the contrary, if the last three election cycles are any indication.

Jack, it's really a tale of two cultures. "Mainstream" education, entertainment, and media is more leftist-controlled than ever before. It's virtually a neo-Marxist monopoly. On the other hand, we have a more diverse and vibrant alternative system of education, entertainment, and media than ever before, too. We have homeschooling, we have the full of breadth of all the entertainment ever devised at our fingertips (some of it actually edifying), and we have conservative news stations, newspapers, magazines, radio programs, and websites galore. So, is the net effect a setback for America or an improvement? That's not a question easily answered.
