Crazy Like a Fox (News Plant)?

Friends, RFK, Jr. made an explosive and memorable appearance before the House of Representatives' "weaponization" committee, a portion of which I'll link below.  Among other things, my main man Bobby called on Americans to stop silencing one another and to start listening.  I can't think of any message more perfectly calibrated if you wanted to enrage a Democrat -- unless RFK, Jr. just read from the phone book...  That would get their goat almost as effectively.  The bottom line: Bobby's running against Joe Biden, and that's simply not acceptable!  "Democracy" demands deference!!!

On this week's Newsmaker Show, Brian and I discuss RFK, Jr. and his impolitic views of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.  We also cover Tucker's allegations of tyranny against the Zelensky regime, the likely contours of a Russia-Ukraine peace settlement, the Western establishment's obsession with censorship and deplatforming, the looming January 6th-related indictments against DJT, the evolving case against the Biden crime family, the struggles of the DeSantis campaign, and the 2024 Veepstakes.  July 20th also offers us a wealth of historical interconnections, and we get as far as talking about the assassination of Leon Trotsky, the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, and Ronald Reagan's military misadventure in Lebanon.

Wow!  You get all this top-drawer political and historical analysis...for free???  Very hard to believe!  We here at WaddyIsRight really need to reevaluate our business model...

Finally, here's an article about a species of "American exceptionalism" that won't fill you with pride: we're exceptionally dependent on public debt, and we show no sign of shaking off our addiction to deficit spending.

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I watched some of that inquisition too. The inquisitors were in very fine fettle, presumptuously manifesting absolutely characteristic antiamerican haughty dismissiveness. They would have fit right in at the trial of Queen Anne under Henry VIII. Pejoratives assumed to produce condemnation upon accusation , using the left's limitless glossary of such, replete with sneering, glaring and summary interruption of unbearable assertions by the condemned, were liberally levelled at him.But dang; he is an hombre!

    1. RAY TO JACK

Shades of the Stalinist show/purge trials of the 1930s, don't you think? Without the Gulag sentences, or "liquidations" of course, yet. RFK, Jr's big sin here is his book about the pandemic and related issues, and the fact that if he did become president, he could not, and would not, tolerate being manipulated by a bunch of "handlers", and their toadies.

  2. Ray from Jack: I think the antiamerican left would be every bit as murderous as the worst commies if only they had the power. The most purely, unimaginably evil commie regime, even worse than Stalin's if that is even comprehendable - that of Pol Pot in Cambodia - was imposed on a country not in need of any extensive reform. Why Pol Pot himself was reportedly once a human being. Anyway, I agree, RFK's show trial would have done Comrade Judge Vishinsky proud.

  3. Ray from Jack: The vicious doctrinal discipline the antiamerican left works on any heretic it encounters in those settings where it already has achieved near totalitarian sway - eg the academy, entertainment , the dem party - gives fair warning of the nazi way they would rule!

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Reading RFK Jr's testimony at his intended and assumed auto da fe, I would gainsay only this: he need not have protested innocence of antisemitism or racial animus. Doing so only credits the presumptuous antiamerican left's characteristically summary indictments with such terms. The notoriously anti Israel, anti Jewish self preservation, radical Islam captured left has some crust, it does, to disingenuously level such screed. Instead of honoring such detestable leftist humbug, RFK Jr. should have challenged the motivation itself for this disingenuous slander! Nonetheless, he is making an impressive stand against the totalitarian entity which is his erstwhile and inherited political home. How grand it would.be of him to denounce it and leave it!

  5. Jack, I'm curious -- did the Dems at the hearing openly accuse RFK, Jr. of being a racist or an anti-Semite? Those are fighting words on the Left, as you know, and would mean burning bridges that the Dems might like to reconstruct someday, especially if it meant preventing Bobby from running as an independent and handing the election to Trump! But maybe Dems aren't that bright. Let's hope.

Ray, you're absolutely right -- RFK, Jr.'s only unforgivable sin is his independent-mindedness. No leftist can tolerate that.

Having said all that, accusing RFK, Jr., of all people, of racial or religious bias requires A LOT of moxie, and disingenuousness of gargantuan proportions. It takes your breath away!

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack: In that portion of the inquisition I was able to stomach, I did not hear RFKJr so tasked. But being that such humbug is the antiamericans' proprietary reaction to the slightest offense, I expect it occurred and that it was rendered bluntly.

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: In one sense I am displaying Dan Rather style presumptuous wishful thinking but RFK Jr did react with enough force to make it probable that he was scolded in the customary antiamerican way.
