Jack Smith's "X"-Rated Peep Show

Friends, the story of how Jack Smith got Donald Trump's direct messages and private data from Twitter, now known as "X", is most interesting.  The last sentence is probably the key here.  It's highly unlikely that all this Twitter dirt will inform the prosecutions of Trump in any meaningful way.  We all know precisely what Trump was up to in 2020...because he kept telling us all about it.  The real purpose of raiding his Twitter account is to find embarrassing morsels that they can selectively leak to make Trump look monstrous.  Expect stunning "revelations" in the weeks and months to come, and no accountability for those who thus abuse our justice system to disparage their enemies.

In other news, farewell, John C. Calhoun!  You're the latest in a long line of dead white males to be cancelled, and naturally you're going to be replaced with a woke hero/heroine chosen to make lefties swell with pride (and just a little malice).

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: I wonder when the antiAmerican left will get around to attempting to mandate the comprehensive proscription of the South! They had best consider this from Bruce Catton's The Coming Fury p.113 (Lincoln's election would);"put the institutions of nearly half the states under the ban of public opinion and condemnation. This, upon general principles, is quite enough of itself to arouse a spirit not only of general indignation. . . " from Alexander Stephens, US Senator who opposed secession but became VP of the Confederacy. Today we have an elected administration which displays open contempt for an America of which the South and the Mountain West are the most patriotic sections. To them it is flyover country. Would they make it illegal to express any form of gratitude for the Confederacy's defense of its homeland or any praise of Southern culture? Surely! Perhaps such incipient reduction of the South heralds an intent to render it an occupied and commanded territory. And why should they stop there?

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: The antiamerican left has made it clear that if it has its way, enjoyment of full citizenship would be"allowed" or "denied" according to one's membership in either exalted or excoriated groups. The "standard" would be how the elect "feel" about your group's political correctness. With history, the present incipient elect holds some history to be sacred and unchallengable(eg. 1619 Project); other history is fully condemned and deserving of any form of discreditation, including complete erasure.Advocacy of the latter is terribly "felt"by the leftist elite to justify one's banishment to a pariah class against which outrage is justified. Gee, where have we already seen this kind of thinking forced on tragically unlucky myriads of millions? It happened under color of the doctrine which drives today's neo marxists in our very country!

  3. Jack, you have a point there! If and when the Left seizes ultimate power, it's greatest challenge will be in enforcing its mandates in recalcitrant parts of the country. Military governors, occupation authorities, and reeducation camps cannot be ruled out. As I've alluded to before, I expect economic and financial sanctions alone will do the trick for the vast majority of conservatives, but time will tell.

Jack, so far the Left has remade American history by a process mostly of addition rather than subtraction. Those days are rapidly coming to an end, though. Now they feel emboldened to proscribe historical personages and themes completely. Mainly, though, it is not a question of subject matter but ATTITUDE. When discussing America before the present age of (progressive) enlightenment, one's tone should always be censorious and/or cringing. Upbeat intepretations are not allowed! Come to think of it, all leftist visions of the past and of the future are equally bleak. That must be somewhere in the handbook...

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: The Confederate cause was fatally condemned by slavery. For this the South paid a very heavy price. Many, perhaps most Confederates fought to protect their land from the domination of a North they understandably saw as a foreign invader. There were strong cultural differences which went well beyond slavery or it's abolition.( many still obtain). The perfectionist leftist elite would have all memorials to Southern gratitude for their region's stand expunged. They need to STEP the HELL OFF!! It's time to unapologetically defend these shrines. If one is offended by them, ignore them. I know if the leftists ever go after the Lee Monument on the Gettysburg field I'll be one of the thousands standing in front of the dozers and I am a longtime Union reenactor (42d PA Bucktails) and I'm glad the Union won.

  5. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Thanks for a professional historian's approbation of my general view on this.

  6. Dr. Waddy from Jack: The perfectionism of the neo marxists is obvious in their devotion to an imagined perfect future which justifies all manner of evil in guaranteeing and hastening. That same psychosis ( perfectionism in mass policy deserves that term) conveniently excuses them from taking an "on balance"view of history, the only way short of condemning humanity outright. The history of the US is shamed by episodes, periods and institutions of great injustice. But it is also redeemed by much that is indicative of intent and accomplishment of doable (not radical) remedial progress and is, ON BALANCE, a positive factor in the world.Leftist arrogation of comprehensive condemnation of the South is doubly ironic when one considers the on balance subhuman history of their doctrine in practice.

  7. Jack, assuming the Left ever does seize absolute power over the federal government, and I expect it will, it's gonna have its hands full bringing those Southern boys to heel! I suggest an occupying force of at least 1 million men (or "fighting people", as the Left may prefer to call them).

Quite right, Jack: let he who is without sin cast the first stone, and let that movement that is unstained by tyranny and mass murder lecture the rest of us on historical revisionism. Since the neo-Marxists don't qualify, I advise them to clam up!
