Friends, this week's Newsmaker Show in a fascinating retrospective re: the major stories of 2022, including the Dems' surprisingly strong performance in the 2022 elections, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and much, much more! Brian and I marvel at the fact that COVID, which dominated the news for so long, has practically evaporated as a central theme in recent months. Boy, do the American people have short attention spans or what? It can make your head spin at times...

And here's an excellent analysis of the government's involvement in promoting censorship in social media -- which is the only front on which we have a chance of punishing the masterminds of censorship for their misdeeds, in my humble opinion.
Finally, Elon Musk's "soft underbelly" may be his stakes in SpaceX and Tesla, both of which are fundamental to the strength of his corporate empire and to his self-image as a visionary change agent. The Left will do its best to punish Musk rhetorically and financially for his impertinence, and I would not be in the least surprised to see federal, state, and local (deep blue) prosecutors take a hard look at Musk for potential criminal violations either. These people play hardball!
Dr.Waddy from Jack: Senior year of high school I took "Problems of Democracy". In it we learned about "the democratic wager"which our nation took at its founding and which maintained that democracy was well worth trying. The American left concluded in the 60s that democracy had failed to assure justice.Marx bade the old left discard time honored standards of constructive living and adopt newly scientifically revealed maxims which included the inevitability of world lcommunism and the justice of using any means necessary to uh, hasten the process. With this convenient license, sociopaths crept from the deepest regions of hell took millions on an artificial , disingenuous death ride to an utterly untenable nightmare of a "perfectly just" future. The american new left decided in its dreamy smoky dorm rooms in the 60's that it was all worth another try and casually retained that good old "any means necessary" tactic.Described in the Real Politics article is but yet another manifestation of that more than amply proven truth and its promise that an all powerful left would rule that way!
ReplyDeleteDr. Waddy from Jack: You bet the left plays hardball. We will too or we will become serfs. When in the history of the world has it ever not been so!?
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of truth to that observation, Jack. Politics often resembles an "arms race", and you don't want to arrive at a gunfight with a dagger... We on the right could stand to adjust our tactics in numerous ways. My top recommendations: harvest votes on an industrial scale in 2023 and beyond, and let's work to infiltrate each and every institution, too, and bend them to our will. It works for the lefties!
