That Was Quick!

Friends, we here at WaddyIsRight bid a fond farewell to Liz Truss, erstwhile Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.  Her reign of error lasted only 45 days, and now...who knows!  There's talk of Boris Johnson mounting a political comeback.  All things are possible, apparently.  Now, I personally disagree with Truss's attempt to cut taxes at a time when deficits are burgeoning and inflation is raging.  That was poor timing.  Be that as it may, the opprobrium that has been poured upon her is totally out of proportion to the scale of that mistake.  Britain faces huge structural economic and fiscal challenges, as does the United States, and 99.9% of these challenges aren't Liz Truss's fault.  Ergo, the Conservatives are going to have to "man up" at some stage and stop eating their own.  The media will happily pick off Conservative PMs one by one, and frankly no one is going to have an easy time of it in this economic and political climate.  That means that the least the Conservative Party can do is...get a grip.  Good luck to them!  It sure looks like we're about to provide them a vivid demonstration here in the States of how precarious the position of incumbents is.  They better learn their lesson fast!

Speaking of which, the political climate leading into our own midterm elections is changing remarkably quickly, and in a way which must be plunging the "great minds" at the DNC into utter despondency.  The wheels have really come off the Democratic Party and its election messaging.  Republicans, it's pretty clear what you have to do: keep talking about inflation, crime, and the border, and keep up a steady rate of fire against Sleepy Joe, and you're going to enjoy massive gains in November.  Don't screw it up!

Tucker had some interesting things to say about the rabid race hate that's being spread in the mainstream media, and especially in "ultra-progressive" circles like, oh, the talking heads at MSNBC.  The demonization of white people is a regular feature of their programming.  Tucker asks the germane question: why are MSNBC's corporate masters putting up with this race-baiting?  Do they buy into it, or are they afraid to call out any reporter or commentator of color?  Or is bashing white people just a good way to make a buck?

Early voting in Georgia is smashing all kinds of records.  Is this good news or bad for the GOP?  In the past, it's been low-turnout midterms in which Republicans have excelled, but could this election cycle set a new trend?  We can't entirely discount the possibility that the Democratic machine really will terrorize its stable of "protected classes" into voting like crazy, and so the dastardly Dems will outperform expectations.  That's a plausible scenario.  It's also plausible that the frenzied lefties could all vote early, and thus Team Blue could shoot its wad early, leaving it exposed to a crushing humiliation on election day itself.  Time will tell!  One thing is for sure: apparently "Jim Crow 2.0" isn't living up to its billing.

Reasonable people can disagree about the morality of abortion, but reasonable people really SHOULD NOT suggest abortion as a solution to all of society's ills.  Don't like climate change?  Kill your baby!  The price of groceries got you down?  Kill your baby!  Worried about white nationalism?  Kill your baby -- assuming it's white, and if it isn't go find another baby and...you know the drill!  These people are just plain sick.

  1. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Its a shame; PM Truss showed consummate grace and dignity in admitting fault. What a contrast with trash like the Clintons. If the UK goes Labor then "chaos is come again", so the Conservatives better get it together. Perfidious Albion (sic) already had a close call with neomarxism before PM Thatcher gave the commies the bum's rush.

  2. Dr. Waddy from Jack: The American far left has ever defined itself by making casual abortion its flagship issue. The American people are better than to countenance this hideous practice and that will show on election day.

  4. Dr. Waddy from Jack: Huzzas aplenty. Here is the real America's chance to go far toward ridding our country of the neomarxist curse we have endured for 50 + counterintuitive years. Its been a bizarre interlude in our history; let it be sent back to the gutter from which it crawled.

That damn fool Stacey Abrams in Georgia just yapped that abortions would ease inflation. Unbelievable! Perhaps not, seeing all of the stupid a*h**** running our country these days. However, I found Abram's statement to be one of the most stupid.

  6. Jack, I tend to agree that Labour would be bad news, but on the other hand the "Conservatives" are sometimes so undeserving of their appellation that one is tempted to say, "Six of one, half a dozen of the other -- ehhh."

Ray, it's greatly heartening to see almost every poll put Stacey Abrams far behind Brian Kemp. The people of Georgia aren't utterly beyond hope, it appears. I wonder if another loss would sink her political battleship??? Maybe not, since, like Beto O'Rourke, she might just decide not to take "NOOO!!!" for an answer.

  7. Dr. Waddy from Jack: The far left and those enthralled by it manifest a n expectation of inevitability of their neomarxist views which is itself vintage marxist. To them, any setback, while by definition counterintuitive and unjust (eg especially 2016) is temporary only and will be undone when they achieve totalitarian sway. If Texans were to buy a phony like O'Rourke I would be astounded.

  8. Jack, I wonder how much faith they truly have in the inevitability of "progress"? Seems like, if they had that much self-assurance, they wouldn't need to force the issue and, among other things, silence the opposition, no? Remember, these are also people who are, almost to a man (or woman), clinically depressed...

  10. Dr.Waddy from Jack: As for taking forceful, decisive measures to achieve the inevitable ,Marx and especially Lenin advocated it." Why should humanity wait in misery when we can effect justice with resolute action? We may take inspiration from the fact that scientifically analysed history confirms our conviction and present oppression justifies expeditious use of any means. 11. Dr Waddy from Jack: Let us draft a glorious army of mental health professionals armed with ubiquitous prescribed mood altering substances distributed by very swarms of compliant drones. Mood warfare; thats the ticket!

  12. Jack, I suspect the powers-that-be, despite their rhetoric to the contrary, will have learned from the experiences of the last few years that DEMOCRACY, i.e. asking the people what they think, is actually a very dangerous business. They might tell you. The elites and the experts are working harder than ever to figure out how to tame us and render us compliant. I live in fear that they may someday figure out a formula that works. If it took mass sedation, I don't think they'd hesitate.
