I'll keep it brief: GOD BLESS Texas and the 17 states that have so far joined Texas in suing Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin for violating the U.S. Constitution, federal election law, and their own state constitutions and laws, in the administration of this year's deeply flawed presidential election! Finally, some real firepower is being deployed to defend American democracy, President Trump, and all those who voted for him in good faith. The establishment may be inclined to scoff and shrug, but now the ball is in SCOTUS's court, and at least 18 of our states can say that they gave it their all. Bravo!
Dr. Waddy, this lawsuit is the longest of long shots. It is pretty clear that TX and the 17 other states lack standing to bring this suit. The Constitution made it clear that voting is a state matter. TX has no right to say how PA conducts its elections, in the same way that PA can't tell TX how to conduct their elections.

DeleteIt is pretty clear (as usual) that you are still a fool. At least you are consistent and predictable. Keep these lectures coming.
Whatever it takes to keep Trump in The White House for four more years, and a Republican in The White House (permanently) thereafter is fine with me. I think what Texas and other states have done to condemn election/voter fraud ( a criminal offense by the way) is perfectly appropriate. The "Democrats" (an assortment of leftist gangsters) is totally (and unconstitutionally) unfit to run the country. They (the DemoNISTAS) promote global socialism run by a bunch of arrogant power brokers who hold average Americans in the utmost contempt. And keep in mind that Joe Biden is being played as a pawn by those in his party who are paving the way by some of the most dangerous political manipulators in the history of The United States of America. I applaud what Texas (and others) have done to promote freedom in this country.
ReplyDeleteFolks, I'm out of here to tend to Christmas and company for Christmas and the New Year.
ReplyDeleteVery nice holidays to Jack, Linda, and Dr. Waddy.
I might as well enjoy it. As an historian I am also a realist, and I have a sinking sad feeling that Joe Biden is going to be in The White House on January 20, 2021.
So again, I plan to enjoy this Christmas since it will probably be my last free one on the eve of our probably emerging socialist dictatorship under the so called "Democrats".
Take care everyone (leftists excluded) and best of luck to all.
Rod, if it's legal for any state to violate its own laws in administering elections, then the good news is that, next time around, all we have to do is use the state and local police to lock registered Democrats in their homes on election day. Presto -- Republicans win! After all, it's nobody's business but our own...
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you, Ray, and Happy New Year! Let's hope 2021 will be less bleak than you anticipate.
To be clear, the Texas lawsuit doesn't allege "fraud" in the classic sense. It alleges a series of elections held in contempt of the prevailing election laws in the relevant states. Basically, the protections against fraud were voided. No doubt that resulted in some fraud, but how much is hard to say. And it's the "hard to say" part that's the problem! We'll never know who got more valid votes in these states, because the Dems and their BOE cronies made it impossible to find out.
Dr. Waddy, that's a clever line. Of course, kidnapping violates all sorts of other laws (not to mention the Constitution).
ReplyDeleteFrom the Supreme Court:
ReplyDeleteTEXAS V. PENNSYLVANIA, ET AL.
The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of
complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of
the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially
cognizable interest in the manner in which another State
conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed
as moot.
It's over, ladies and gentlemen.
Oh, Ray. I am a fool, eh? Seems like I called it correctly.

Fourteenth Amendment
ReplyDeleteSection 3
No Person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
Speaker Pelosi should refuse to seat all 126 of the Representatives who signed on to the bogus TX lawsuit on the grounds that they participated in an attempted insurrection against the Constitution.
Rod, in some states, counting an absentee ballot without a valid signature ALSO violates the law...and yet it was often done, and without consequence. So, law schmaw. From now on, it's every man for himself!
ReplyDeleteHa! Lodging a lawsuit is an "insurrection"? Oh, please. You really have drunk the Kool-Aid, Rod. How soon you forget your devotion to the will of the voters too!
Dr. Waddy, trying to overturn a legitimate presidential election via illegitimate means? Sounds like insurrection to me.
ReplyDeleteThose are strong words, Rod. I think you're being a little hard on Brennan, Comey, et al., but to each his own.
